James Keithley at Ideal Precision saved my roof. I had a new roof installed seven years ago by another roofing company and it was done incorrectly, which subsequently caused extensive wood rot that took seven years to manifest. I had several different roofing companies look at it and each of them told me that the roof was installed so poorly I would simply need to replace the entire roof, which was going to cost about $140K. James said it was salvageable. He did everything he could to keep the cost down. He is knowledgeable and was great about keeping me informed every step of the way. He was responsive to every single question I had and instilled a lot of confidence in a disillusioned customer. The repair was seamless, and even though the wood rot was more extensive than they accounted for in the original estimate, it did not effect the bottom line by much. James and Ideal Precision take customer service seriously and it shows.

I can't rave enough about how prompt and professional the owner James is. I had some concerns with my roof while buying a home and he came out the same day to take a look. He was honest with his feedback and did not recommend I spend money to repair something that wasn't an issue. That is SO rare. Many others would've said it needed to be fixed so that I paid the money. I'm so thankful for him and his immediate responses, months later I called him because I need a report done and he had it to me in an hour. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Let me start my review of this company by stating I interviewed and considered six other companies before deciding to use this company for my roofing and gutter installation. The project manager I worked with appeared competent, knowledgeable, professional and results oriented. By the 2nd day of install, my opinion changed drastically. Roof install was not painless...I literally caught an installer redoing the work of another installer (of course, it was redone correctly when video recording started during the installation and the installer knew their work was being observed). Next, incomplete clean-up was done. Trash and debris was left behind. Excess materials were left and not credited to us after picking up. Poor communication occurred. Gutter install was done poorly. Made them come back and fix their work. Excuses were given, etc. This company is a loss. President of the company was contacted by email and phone and he still hasn't called back but gave a myriad of excuses by email. Do yourself a favor and use another company. If you like project managing companies on your own time and for work you are paying for, then use this company. Please note an excel spreadsheet listed all of the issues was provided to the project manager Gabe. He did address each deficiency but the damage was done. This company needs serious workmanship and customer service improvements.

There estimate was roughly $1500 more than several other estimates I received. I went with them because of reputation. The actual install crew spoke no English (or refused to indicate that they did) and upon noticing that they were doing some short cuts, I was unable to effectively communicate. Also, the leftover was six bundles of shingles, two unopened boxes of nails, complete roll of paper and more materials. They did not want to credit me for those materials, so I instructed them to leave them behind. Dealing with one of the owners felt like that of a used car salesman until I mentioned I was going to contact my insurance company. I will not recommend them to any of my friends/neighbors in the future. If you are going to have them do work for you, I would recommend negotiating with them prior to installation on excess materials as well as having an English-speaking person on the work crew at all times.

Being in the real estate industry we see a lot of vendors come and go and need someone who can we can depend on. After being referred to several different roofers for a full roof replacement, gutters, and fencing job -the vetting process began. Dustin from Ideal roofing stood out and was communicative, responsive and efficient. It was a no brainer...He followed up and executed as expected and finished the job ahead of schedule AND under everyone else's price. They will be my go-to from here on out for anything roofing in the the San Antonio area.

After reading all the reviews we could find and talking to neighbors who had their roofs done we chose ideal precision roofing to replace our roof in August and we are so happy that we did! Dustin Pozan was fantastic to work with! He did exactly what he promised! He and his team were on time every day and despite three days of pouring rain they were able to finish the roof on time! Dustin was here every day and even showed up the first morning with breakfast tacos and came back after the roof was completed to walk the entire property looking for roof nails and any debris that was left behind! He worked closely with us and USAA, our insurance company, to make sure we received everything we were entitled to (gutters, screens & broken windows from the hail) He is a San Antonio native, hard working, super nice, professional and honest and our 4000 sq ft roof looks awesome! We highly recommend Ideal Precision Roofing!

I chose to go with Ideal Precision Roofing for my income property based on the recommendation of my property manager. Though my property is located in San Antonio, and I live out of state, James Keithley took special care to keep me posted all along the way. He sent me photos of the materials being delivered to the site, of the old roof being stripped off and of the new roof being put on while being mindful of any past problem areas. As an architect, I looked for a quality roofing job - one that looks great, has a good warranty, from a company with an excellent reputation and at a reasonable price. I also wanted my tenants to be happy with how they coordinated schedules and the thoroughness of the clean-up afterwards. That is what I got. Great Job!
