IB Roofing went beyond expectations. We have a 100 year old stucco bungalow in Berkeley and the original roof structure was under-built, as a result the roof was slumping and leaking. Israel and his team brought the roof into modern times, so it is now strong enough to add solar in the future and I feel confident heading into this winter. Israel and his team arrived on the scheduled date, on time and ended the day with a full clean up. They are quick, hardworking and skilled. Israel is part of the team everyday, and checked in with me to keep me up to date. Great quality, value and very professional, positive experience. If you are thinking about hiring IB roofing, do not hesitate because you are in very good hands with Israel and his crew. They are punctual, excellent communicators and above all, just really really amazing human beings. I find Israel and his entire crew humble and hard working and super responsive, which gave us a lot of confidence and ease. After all, doing work on your roof is hectic and they made it so easy and manageable. They cleaned up after each day no matter how late they work, communicated progress timely and got work done well and fast! In hindsight hiring him was one of the best investments I made on this house one given how great the roof looks now and the fact that we have had ZERO problems so far with the heavy rain this season in the Bay Area. When we had follow-up questions after the roof had completed, they also responded quickly so you know they are there for you and that they stand by their quality work. I had a rain leak from the garage roof and asked IB Roofing to replace the roofing membranes and install a new drain. After heavy rain, the roof still leaked, so I asked them to fix it. They came immediately and found that the leak was not from the roof but from the casements of the windows adjacent to the garage roof. Although not responsible, they nonetheless caulked the window casements and cracks around them. I greatly appreciate their service.

Ib roofing replaced our roof completely 3 years ago, with a five year warranty Our roof started leaking again and we've called several times and they've refused to return our calls. This has been happening for 6 months now.

In November 2022, we had a bungalow shingle roof and shed roof replaced including new gutters with leaf shields. Israel came over and physically inspected both roofs explaining what needed to be done. Our main roof was unstable and he reinforced it in such a way that I can have solar panels installed. Israel was knowledgeable and friendly. His is a local business and was fairly priced.

Workers arrived on time and worked efficiently focusing on the job which took 3-1/2 days. They always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. After two rainy episodes, the roof has held up with no leaks. We are very happy with the outcome and recommend their services.

TL;DR - They came and left, and I never heard back. Don't return calls.

Gerardo came over 1.5 months ago (!) for a roof and skylight inspection, and then promptly left. He didn't give me a business card, a date on when he'd get back to me, send me photos, nothing. Just drove off, and that was the last I heard.

I probably called 15 times. And emailed once. I was told multiple times that someone would call me back by ""tomorrow,"" and provide an estimate. Crickets. I would've long gone with another company, but there aren't many companies in town that also do skylights, and also, I've already sunk the durn time into them.

2 stars because it was free.

I used Yelp you bid out my reroofing job. IB was one of the few to actually climb a ladder and inspect the roof. Others just used a drone. As a result they were able to identify some gutters that needed to be replaced.

Their bid was the lowest and included the gutter replacement. They were responsive to my numerous questions, did the work on time, and cleaned up after themselves. And the roof looks great.

I recommend them highly.
