So I had a problem where I was getting excessive amounts of water leaking from my AC unit in the closet. I called Home Upgrade and from start to finish the service was far above the bar! Raymond was the name of the gentleman that came to my house. He immediately checked the unit after i explained my issues and went to test everything relevant to the problem. After everything he explained to me that nothing was wrong with my unit and it was working properly. Turned out it was just a drain that was not flowing properly and he fixed it along with a few other things that were not perfect. I cant explain how grateful i am to have someone that was so easy to trust come and work on my unit as there are so many out there that just try to make a buck off you. Highly recommend these guys/gals and will make sure to tell anyone i know with issues to call them as well. It was truly a pleasure talking with them and i hope the business does great so more people can benefit from honest repair men If you ever have a problem call them so you can get peace of mind that if its a small issue, they wont try to up sell you.

Our AC died over the weekend during the heat wave. Due to the overwhelming positive reviews for Home Upgrade Specialist, we decided to give them a try. We had also called another AC company to come and give us an estimate. They told us we had to replace our condenser. Elia was our service technician from Home Upgrades Specialist. After looking at our condenser, he also said we needed to replace it as it was about 15 years old. But then he started to troubleshoot further and found that it was very dirty inside the unit. He offered a cleaning service and we decided we had nothing to lose. Low and behold that was just the problem. Elia saved us thousands of dollars. It was the best news that 2020 had given us. We are so appreciative of the hard work and troubleshooting that he did instead of just telling us we needed to replace it.

I requested AC servicing via Yelp and Home Upgrade Specialist responded fairly quickly. They called me to setup an appointment within the next 24 hours. They arrived 30 minutes into the 2 hour appointment window. Within an hour, the AC unit was serviced and up and running. The technician was open and communicative with the repair process and wore appropriate protective equipment for COVID. I would definitely recommend them and would contact them again for any future repair needs.

Fixed the hvac on our roof. After the ac went out this morning. Technician came a couple hours after calling.

They charge $79 to come out, but waived if the repair is completed by them that day.

The repair here was $350 total, $270 for a new booster plus $80 to refill refrigerant. Seems like a good price to me, and happy to have it fixed with a heat wave coming. Will hire again.

Our AC broke down in the middle of a heat wave. We had three bids for a replacement and HOME UPGRADE SPECIALISTS were hands down the best. They showed up in Masks, brought shoe socks and were mindful that we didn't wear shoes in our house, they were incredible clean and efficient. RAYMOND was our specialist and I would highly suggest requesting him when you call for a bid. He was available and communicative through the entire process. All around I would just say everyone I encountered was very respectful.

I had a fantastic experience with Home Upgrade Specialist. The owner, Cara, was very friendly and accommodating. The technician, Elia, went above and beyond. I had two other HVAC companies come out, but Elia was the only one who was able to diagnose and rectify the issue with my A/C. He was very thorough and identified a couple of other important issues with my system that needed to be addressed, providing clear explanations (and photos) so I could make informed decisions. The pricing was very reasonable. I would recommend Home Upgrade Specialist (and Elia) without hesitation.

I used Home Upgrade Specialist to fix my A/C. I often do too much research/comparing between other options when hiring any company for repairs. I'm always looking for reviews about honesty, reliability, and especially affordability. Costumer service was great: It was one of the first companies to respond and get back to me and was super easy to schedule. They do charge $79 service fee (which from my research is about standard to other HVAC places...) and if you use them for your repairs that fee is waved. This is even true with small repair bills, which surprised me as my final bill only came out to about $100.

Elia was great. He was very knowledgable and professional. He re-filled our refrigerant & fixed a valve. He was also very informative and let us know that our unit was pretty darn old (1989). However, it spoke to his honesty that he did not try up-sell us, or push us to get a new unit as it seemed to be working pretty well, all things considered. I'm sure we'll have to get a new unit in the not-too-distant future, but in the weird uncertain times like this quarantine, its good to know we didn't have to spend more than we needed to for the time being. When we DO need to make that move, I certainly feel like I will probably turn back HUS and Elia, as they have earned my trust.
