Roof needs fixin? Call Mr. Hixon. I did... Three times... Still waiting for the call back. Another vendor go the job... I guess Bob was too busy to return my call.

Kudos to Jacob Porter of Hixon Roofing for great customer service. Jacob was very courteous and professional. He phoned and was able to arrive early. I would highly recommend Hixon Roofing.

Jacob Porter met with me at my home and did a fantastic job assisting in identifying the problem with my gutters and recommending the appropriate replacement. The price he quoted was fair and very reasonable. The work began exactly when promised and completed on time by a team of highly skilled professionals. Needless to say, I am REALLY pleased with the outcome of their work. Should I need any other gutter or roofing work, Jacob and the Hixon team will be my ""go to company"".

I would give them a 0 if it were possible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I was referred to them by a contractor friend to replace my roof, dormer windows, gutters and siding after a huge hail storm. It took them over a year to complete the project...even though it is still not completed properly as the siding looks horrible due to poor installation leaving lots of warping on every surface. It was a complete NIGHTMARE dealing with them after signing the contract and paying the deposit. They poorly managed the project from the start...even installing a different siding than was originally ordered. I had to fight to get them to fix any issues that was caused by their subpar installation. The roof is already leaking and they basically will not help or finish the project. The staff also discriminated against me and instead of fixing their issues, they claim they have finished and want to send me to collections if I don't pay in full. Now I'm having to pay an attorney to get me out of this mess. I can't stress enough...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Save yourself the headaches!! They're the worst I've ever dealt with.

Wonderful company to work with. Very reasonable pricing, work completed fast, and perfect. Very polite employees, who kept us informed and done an exceptional job cleaning up. Highly recommend this company!!

We were given a fair estimate, they arrived on time, cleaned up each day, and we were pleased with their finished work. Good experience!

IF YER ROOF NEEDS A FIXIN' - DO NOT CALL HIXON !!
My husband and I purchased a home in October 2021. Because the home was 18 years old and one area of leak was identified during home inspection, we opted to contract Hixon Roofing of Aiken, SC to install a new roof and ensure that the area identified during the home inspection was remedied in the process. The cost was $16,400 plus we paid them an additional fee over $600 to install gutter guards that we purchased and provided. The work was done November 17 and 18th.
We were at our Iowa home at the time of installation. When we returned on December 31, we immediately checked the attic area off of the bonus room where the leak was previously. It did not appear that the affected area had been fixed in spite of the fact that the roof was covered in new shingles. They also did not install the gutter guards in spite of the fact that they had been paid to do so. We called Hixons. They had also left a pallet in the driveway with partially used roofing materials and destroyed our landscaping.
They sent someone out on Monday, January 3, 2022, to ""fix"" the area of the roof that had been neglected at the time of installation. They sent someone that same week to install the gutter guards and pick up the pallet of roofing materials.
On Friday February 4, 2022, we received the first rain of any consequence since we'd been here. We checked the bonus room attic area and water was running into the area in three different spots over electrical wires and down between the walls onto insulation and the garage ceiling. I took a quick video of the leaks. I texted Tyler Hixon of Hixon's Roofing. He assumed me in text that they would fix the drywall as soon as the roof leak was fixed. He sent out an employee who observed the area an did a cursory examination of the roof. The employee they sent said, ""I see a lot more that they did wrong than they did right."" His name may have been Anthony.
Later on Friday, David Hixon Jr. and Jeremy Stevens (project manager for our new roof job) came out to inspect. I showed David Jr the leaking areas as well as the collateral damage caused by the leaks. I also showed him numerous other areas that concerned me. He also assured me they would take care of fixing the collateral damage as soon as the roof leaks were fixed.
On Saturday, February 5, David Hixon Sr came to ""fix"" the leaks. My husband and I were eating lunch in the kitchen at about 1:40 p.m. when a man just strolled into our house, no knock, no doorbell. It was David Hixon Sr to ""fix"" the roof. After about 1.5 hours on the roof, he announced it was ""fixed."" I asked him what the plan was to mitigate the water and drywall damage. He said that wasn't their problem. I was floored. I told him I was very concerned about mold, wet insulation, and the fact that the garage ceiling now has huge water stains. He said, ""It'll dry out."" I was very upset.
On Monday, February 7, 2022, I paid Servpro of Aiken $75.00 to come and take moisture readings and provide an estimate for the cost of water mitigation and repairs for damaged areas. They provided an estimate and took numerous pictures. The estimate is over $2400. My homeowner's insurance deductible is $2500.
On Thursday February 10, 2022, I paid a licensed roofing professional, Tucker Hawley of Southpoint Roofing $199.00 to conduct a comprehensive roofing inspection and provide a written report of the condition of the 2-and-a-half-month-old roof on our home as well as an estimate to correct those items that were bungled by Hixon Roofing. His estimate was over $3,000.
On Friday February 11, 2022, I sent an email to Tyler Hixon of Hixon's Roofing asking them to cover the cost to make the roof right as well as to mitigate the water damage caused by our new roof. I did not receive a reply. On Tuesday February 15, 2022, I sent a text message to Tyler Hixon asking for the courtesy and professionalism of a reply. I received an immediate response stating, ""because you have let another roofing company on your roof your warranty is voided and (sic) do not agree to pay any bills.""
We paid for ""lifetime"" shingles and Hixon's provided a 10-year labor warranty. I guess the labor warranty is only as good as the integrity of the company. According to the report, the shingles were not installed according to manufacturing specifications for those shingles which would also void any warranty for the shingles.

From the very beginning, Scott Gunter, Hixon's Company Rep. visited our home in Aiken, South Carolina with some fine detailed plans for a screened-in porch. While here he also gave us an estimate for a new roof, using the best architectural shingles.
Scott was easy to work with, direct, friendly and respectable toward us.
We are seniors, and Scott made decision-making friendly and non- threatening. Once the roofing actually commenced, it was done in a day and a half. Mr. Hixon brought a large crew with him. They worked hard and very diligently. We couldn't have been more happy with the way our roof turned out. I'm sure our roof is the envy of many people on our street. They would also have to be impressed at how hard working a large crew performed. There was not a one of the men who was at any time idle. Thanks Hixon's!

David HIxon, Jr. hired a Mexican group to remove and replace all the old vinyl siding with new siding. What he did not tell me in the beginning of the job that this was a newly created company and they had never done a replacement vinyl siding job before. He did not tell me that these were not permanent employees of the business but a group he outsources. None of these Mexicans spoke any English. They worked 2 days and did not return back to the jobsite. I had to text Hixon a few weeks later to ask what happened to the workers and the job. They came back off and on and intertwined new siding with old siding. I took off work Memorial Week so I could watch the work, no one showed up on the job. They totally destroyed my surveillance exterior camera system valued at $1600. I stopped the job twice because I was not satisfied and being lied to. Nails not in a straight row, corners not cut straight or connect together, used different color caulking that sticks out like a sore thumb, big bolts and different sizes in some areas, lost all the receptacles on the exterior outlets, installed motion lights backwards. Hixon was never on the job so he didn't know what was new vinyl and what was still old vinyl. Hixon lied he got a building inspection permit and the City and County Building Inspector Offices told me there was no permit filed on my address for building updates by Hixon (county do not issue permits, only the city). The City of Aiken Building Inspector advised me there should be a vapor barrier installed on my extension room of the house. There was none. The City of Aiken Building Inspector suggested I hire Enlow Siding or Southern Siding as they file for the building inspector permits and they offer a warranty for their work. I have had to file a dispute with the bank credit card I used to see if the bank will refund my money or I will get a lawyer. Then let the lawyer investigate how many building permits do this company request for these jobs that cost over $1000. I bought several vinyl companies out and they were able to identify what was original siding and what was new. In order to get a 100% warranty from any Siding Company, I will have to remove all the siding and start over. Before you hire HIxon, take lots of pictures and know your siding. You really need to be home to see what they are doing. I know my siding because I pressure washed it every year. And those Mexicans left nails all over the yard and work area. I am still picking up nails. I paid him over half the money as a down payment on the siding and gutter system and he refuses to give me some of my money back. He wants to charge me $6200 for a job that was not completed and used standard material. I have received 3 estimates for a brick ranch house that range from $4700 to $5100 for standard vinyl siding and $5300 for grade 2 siding and $5500 to $5700 for grade 3 (Enlow and Southern Siding). He must be crazy if I am going pay him that money for an incomplete job. I would not recommend this company after my ordeal with them and no building permits so the city or county won't come inspect their work to ensure they are abiding by the building codes.

Really nice, professional people. Had a small roof leak. They made the time ASAP to help me in Lexington and they're in Aiken! Highly recommend their company.
