First of all, the roof Hippo installed on my house is fine.
Now that we have that out of the way, I want to share that communication with this company is beyond bad.
Returning calls from them, getting updates on the job, expecting someone to follow up on calls to them is among the worst businesses I have dealt with.

Every person I talk to points the finger at someone else but nothing changes.

Be aware and keep a record.

The customer service person is most unfriendly, careless and impatient to me when I asked estimates of 3 houses due to a major hail storm.
She took my info and lost everything in few minutes. It was a very bad experience that made to look for other roofers.

One star is an overstatement. Hippo is a roofing company that is in the business of promising the world and delivering the bare minimum. The beginning communication is the only point where they treat you with civility and respect.

Once the penalty enforced contract is signed, they treat you like you are their employee and you have to accept whatever they say.

I have a detailed account of all of my issues with this company and if you would like to avoid trouble for an overpriced roof, I suggest you contract a different company. Sure you could use Hippo to get a high end estimate but go with someone else.

We hired Hippo Roofing to install a metal roof. Big mistake on my part. I had heard horror stories about their work and I didn't listen. Bottom line, I would not recommend them for any job. My $40,000 roof looks terrible. They put peel and stick on my valley which looks terrible. I ask them why and they're and was because they are allowed to. I've tried to talk to them but they are very rude people. They stood in my driveway yelling and calling me a liar. I would give them zero stars.

We needed a new roof on our house and went with Hippo Roofing. I couldn't be happier that we did, their customer service in the front office from Amanda Bill and Chris was superb. They walked us through every process and made it a seamless experience. When it came to the tear off of the roof they were super efficient with a large crew, took off our old roof and fixed our new one with new shingles in record time. They were very accommodating to the needs of our family and our requests. Everyone I dealt with was super professional and efficient like a well oiled machine. Tony the project manager was there every step of the way let me know what to expect he was on top of it. At the completion of the project, Tony from Quality Control came out to make sure I was 100% satisfied. I am very impressed with the level of service from Hippo Roofing and would recommend them to anyone thanks again hippo crew you guys are awesome!!!!

do not use hippo roofing for gutter works. i hsve gien up in trying to get hippo to correct poor workmanship qualitymin the replacemnt of gutters /downspouts at my house. please see link below. dg,,,,,,

Was pleased with the roof itself, however, the gutters were damaged during the roof install. They contacted a gutter person to replace them, which was great, however, he did a SUBPAR installation. The gutters are poor quality and have contacted my sales rep several times to no avail about the gutters. It's been a little over a year and they are already so molded that I can't get them cleaned anymore. I pressure wash them to no avail. Not thrilled with the customer service after the install

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Hippo removed the existing flat roof system and replaced with what they called the same. It is not the same. The new roof makes noises as if decking is being pulled up and when I called to report the problem, both the owner, Bill Stilwell and his second in charge said ""your roof passed inspections and therefor is up to code"" and would not address the new issue. They charged my insurance company over $30,000 for the new roof and will do nothing to fix the noises it now makes everyday. Do not use Hippo Roofing! While some staff are good people, the owner and top management do not stand by their product and are disrespectful to clients.

As a real estate sales professional you learn who to recommend and who to avoid when it comes to contractors. Not only am I a customer ( great job on the roof btw) but I also refer them to clients and they are all extremely happy. No better warranty in the business and customer service is in their DNA.

I had my roof done by Hippo after sustaining hail damage. After the work was done and I had already paid approximately half the invoice, they gave me the invoice showing my deposit and the remaining balance. When I received payment from my insurance company, I promptly wrote the check for the full balance on my invoice and delivered directly to Hippo offices. They would not accept the check and were demanding $1500 more than the invoice total (they wanted my entire insurance check to the penny) not the agreed price as stated on the invoice given to me once the job was completed. Extremely dissatisfied. I have all documentation of this miserable ordeal.
