I was very pleased with the work Hills of Texas did on my recent roofing replacement. In all aspects of the job, from helping us with insurance company questions, to selection of materials, speedy completion of the job, and having a clean and unobtrusive work site, they were very professional. If you are looking for a real certified roofing company, with certifications and credentials for authentic warranties from the materials manufacturers, Hills of Texas is the right company.
As for previous negative post, I disagree, because I was personally amazed at how little impact the job had on my neighbors. Two of them commented on how they were surprised at how efficient the whole job was.

We strongly object to the previous review by Donna M. of Fredericksburg. Starting Nov 8, 2013 we had HILLS OF TEXAS ROOFING & REMODELING do an absolutely terrific shingle job on our house on Burbank St. in Fredericksburg TX.
1. We have had NO ""NEXT"" door neighbor named Donna M with a 3 year old in the 20 years that we have been here. Since HILLS OF TEXAS ROOFING & REMODELING has a policy to work on only one home at a time, is the wrong business reviewed or is the reviewers name wrong?
2. With all the ""noise"", how can a neighbor understand what is being said by the men on the roof of the house next door? We were home the entire time. We heard NO swearing or loud talking. When they spoke to us, it was with the utmost respect.
3. Only one trailer was ever on site and it was in our driveway the entire time. Anyone who knows anything about roofing knows the old shingles and tar paper need to be hauled away somehow. It took a large 4 door pickup--not 4 large trucks--to haul the trailer and the 3 man crew.
4. This crew has been together for about 10 years and has been trained by the owner who has been in business since 1974 and is a service connected disability veteran who runs a respectful crew. No one stays in business for 40 years if they show not respect. Their policy is to work from 8am to 6:30 pm. The crew works so well together that they know what needs to be done next without even speaking to each other.
5. On our block there is very little distance between driveways, so everyone is entitled to park anywhere on the PUBLIC street. With no sidewalks on our block, the 1st 6 feet off the curb are PUBLIC property.
6. Before the crew leaves, they make sure the property is waterproof and makes sure that no trash is left behind on the neighbors property at the end of each day. They used a roller magnet several times to make sure no nails were left behind.
7. The number of days needed was of no concern to US, because we knew they were doing the best possible job and doing it correctly. This was no rush job at any time.
This is the 2nd time we have used HILLS OF TEXAS ROOFING AND REMODELING and will continue to do so as WE are entirely satisfied with their service.

To be honest, I can't comment too much on their work since it is not me who hired them but my next door neighbors. However, I feel like I was also getting my roof done due to how invasive and frankly, disrespectful, they were to the houses around them. I get that when someone does your roof, theres going to be noise. THAT is fine. People are getting their roofs done all over the place in our neighborhood so its definitely something were just use to by now but these guys were talking, laughing, and using foul language VERY loudly the entire time they were there. I have a 3 year old son and I did not feel like I could let him play outside because I didn't want him hearing any of that. They brought about 4 giant trucks that, for some reason, they thought it best to keep running ALL DAY. They did try to not block our drive way but barely and the workers, including the boss who didn't seem to do any work or even any managing of his crew, would constantly be walking across our lawn to get things out of their trucks which they parked in front of what seemed like every house but the one they were woking on. They took a few days which because they would pack up and leave early every day around 4 but then on the last day, since they had to rush to get it all done, they didn't leave until about 7 when it had already been dark for a good hour or two. As they were leaving they had no inhibition about how loud or how vulgar their language was. Definitely put on my list of companies to never hire, which, unfortunately, living in the hill country, is growing quite rapidly.
