To do a partial guest bathroom update, I called around to four contractors here in the San Fernando Valley and one neighbor-recommended handyman. One contractor never responded; two contractors said they did not handle such small jobs; the handyman said it was too complicated. But the Highlight office manager listened to my request and within 48 hours sent over general contractor Dylan S. He assessed the job, wrote up a plan, and within days, his guys got to work in daily succession -- demolisher, electrician, dry waller, painter, tiler, plumber/installer. Always on time, always efficient, always courteous. And always with Dylan to monitor that things were on track. Yes, there were overruns--the area had not been touched since 1957! (Wiring had to be updated and mold remediated--Dylan corralled the appropriate companies and kept things pretty much on track). To sum up: really glad I got this job done by professionals who did what I wanted, improving on my ideas in a few instances, and did not piddle around. Worth every penny.

Highly recommend Dylan and his crew! We went with Highlight remodeling after having met with three other contractors. My husband and I had pretty definite ideas about what we wanted. Our goal was to open up the floor plan of our home by removing walls, demolishing our narrow existing kitchen, laundry room and tiny second bathroom and replacing it with a much larger kitchen, bathroom, laundry and pantry. All of which was executed perfectly, completed within the given time frame and beautifully installed. Dylan was very helpful with design ideas and made great suggestions. The quality of his work is excellent and we found him to be professional, polite and truly invested in the best outcome for our remodel. He showed up everyday to check on the progress, often making changes and improvements to the work. He takes enormous pride in his work and goes the extra mile to make sure his clients are satisfied which in these days is so refreshing and almost impossible to find in a contractor. His crew are wonderful, from his framers to his drywall guys to his painters. They were a pleasure to have around, always friendly and polite. We could not be happier with the outcome! We have a stunning brand new home that we absolutely love. If you are looking for a competent, honest contractor who delivers high quality work on time, Dylan and his Highlight crew are the way to go. I have already recommended him to several friends and will continue to do so.

We hired Highlight Remodeling to renovate our master bathroom. Dylan, the owner, was great to work with. He is a pleasant guy who is organized, efficient, and dependable. He also arranged all the permits and inspections. Our project took about a month and Dylan had someone working at our house nearly every day until the job was completed. His subcontractors did beautiful work and everything turned out better than we imagined. Dylan communicated with us by text daily and he also came by often to make sure the project was going well and that we were satisfied with the work. He even checked back a week after the project ended to make sure we were happy with everything.

The price was fair, and along the way they even recommended things we could include/not include to save money, which I really appreciated. Dylan is the best! He's friendly and professional. He employs quality and professional workers (plumbers, installers, tile, tubs, showers, etc.). I remodeled my whole house using Highlight Remodeling - from painting the outside of my house, remodeling two bathrooms, attic insulation, and installation of floors throughout the living room, family room, kitchen, front door entry, and hallway. We are very grateful to Dylan and his staff for the excellent work they did on and in our home. Our roof was a disaster - a 70 year-old wood shake roof that needed to replaced immediately or we would lose our homeowner's insurance. And a bathroom with mold and a leaking shower pan and rotted floor.

Dylan was attentive and checked daily to make sure everything was proceeding normally. He was always available and willing to show up and resolve any issues.

I know I am not an easy customer. I am nitpicky, and hard to please. I want the work done in my home to be beautiful and to last. I can be unreasonable, but Dylan was always willing to explain things to me, and made sure things were the way I wanted them.

Highlight did our roof, solar, windows, and a major bathroom remodel. We are happy, and I am pleased to recommend them. They are reliable, friendly, attentive and they do very nice work. Thank you Dylan!!!

From the estimate meeting to completion, Dylan was in constant communication and explained every detail with us.

The roof was VERY old with three layers of prior shingles. Lots of work and very messy. Dylan's crew made sure the areas were cleaned and all nails and debris were removed.

The roof looks fantastic!

I recommend Highlight Remodeling, and because of Dylan's great communication and professionalism, I will be using them in future projects.

I hired Dylan to replace my roof, already in the first meeting Dylan got everything right. He spotted the problems in my roof right away, when 2 roofers before that didn't know what to do.
The workers came early in the morning exactly on time every day , and worked hard and well, and were very nice and polite to me and my family.
The roof was done in 4 days and done very professionally, so much that even the city inspector was very impressed with the job and asked for Dylans number to do a job with him as well.
I was so happy with the job I also asked Dylan give me an estimate to change my hvac unit and insulation for my attic, as always price was the great as well, so we now also have new HVAC and insulation.
