This contractor has not paid his bill to my company for arranging the delivery of roofing materials to his customer's job site since last December! We have heard one lie after another regarding our payment being in the mail, or will mail ""today"", etc. for months. The last few months we have not been able to get a response from him at all. We even contacted this company whose job site the materials were delivered to hoping that they would intervene with no luck. At the very least this contractor has been a cheat and a liar to our company. Be very skeptical if you are thinking of conducting business with this contractor.

This roofer came as a recommendation from Dynatech Engineering and was nothing less than a nightmare. From wrong colored tiles delivered to excessive delays, and several items done wrong when performing an entire roof repair after Hurricane Wilma.

The drier vent was completely missed, we have had several leaks that we needed to repair as we were never able to get Highlander roofing back to repair their mistakes after first several mistakes were repaired. Then one of the mistakes they were to fix, putting in a Vent for the drier, which they completely blocked off in the original roofing, they put in a goose neck vent but the wrong type of air release. Now another roofer wants 300.00 for that repair of that mistake. The original wrong colored tiles was a mistake made because this roofer cant shut up when doing a job and needs to constantly rattle on. In addition, he tried to blame the color choice of course on anything but his own incompetence as the colors we wanted were the colors he helped us pick out! Then for some reason, he went ordered the tiles in a color we specifically stated we DID NOT WANT!

We have had 3 different leaks, one we are now repairing. The roof is less than 6 years old.

Highlander roofing is horrid. The recommendation from the engineering firm was a lousy one to take as they worked together and we should have noticed a conflict of interest. Stay away from these folks.

What can I say, we all know contractors in South Florida are difficult to deal with roofers being some of the worst. This company was so unprofessional... from not returning phone calls, dumping garbage on my property, unfinished details and workers coming up to me in parking lots asking if I had paid the boss because they had not received their pay.

I know two things home owners don't want liens on their property and if you treat your workers badly they don't do a good job.

All I can say is run away as fast as you can.
