I am a licensed general contractor for more than 60 years. I've dealt with premier general contractors and subcontractors on countless large construction projects my entire career including shell and core, tenant improvement and public works. I am very knowledgeable about all aspects of construction and related law and project protocol. Please heed this warning. Do not use Highland Roofing for your roofing needs. Their work is inferior, their staff is unprofessional, rude and non-responsive and in my years of dealing with countless contractors and subcontractors, they are the company you stay away from. Heed my words: take your money elsewhere and get the service and product you are paying for. Minus 5 stars!

Can't thank them enough. I own Foothill Gym in Monrovia. Part of our building is a flat roof and we have had awful problems with leeks.
At the first rain this year it was the worst. I had received a flier from them and just happened to call the day prior. When they heard about the problem happening (pouring inside) they rushed over took a look. Even swept the water off the roof to help.
An hour later sent me a reasonably priced quote and we signed. The next morning at 5am they were here fixing everything. No mess, no smells, customers could hardly tell they were there. By 10am all fixed.
Plus super nice and friendly.

I highly recommend Highland Roofing! It's tough to find good companies in LA, but I am happy to report that Highland is one. Highland was re-roofing the condo building where I live, and they did such a great job. Also, Steve was fantastic. He worked with me on making sure my asthma was not affected by their work, and he even had his guys load their equipment for the roof from a different entrance so my asthma wasn't disturbed. Plus, the roofers finished on time. There were no long delays in getting their work done. Again, so different from some LA companies. If you are looking for a roofer who does a great job and is awesome at providing top service, give Highland Roofing a call.

I owned an industrial building Highland roofing contracted to reroof. I paying a sizable down payment to began the work, and continued making progress payments. After the roof was completed and before the white reflective coating was applied it rained and the roof leaked worse that before they started. They never completed the job and never fixed the leaks. I was forced to contract with another roofer at the cost of $50,000.00 to affect the appropriate repairs.

Great experience with highland roofing!! They patiently waited while I had to deal with customers and were true professionals on my roof repair. They were fast and effective and my roof hasent leaked since.

The worst experience I have ever encountered with a contractor. These guys are con artists. They apply a their roofing material over the existing roof using watered down tar and polyester. The product doesn't account for the ponding water areas and issues with the existing roofs.

They put on my roof 5 months ago and it has leaked every single time since it has rained. I spoke with the salesmen and management and all they can say is ""it is what it is"". What kind of answer is that?!

If you're in need of a roof, go with a PVC roof. The cost is slightly more, but you will have a better price of mind.

NO REGARD FOR THE DISABLED! Doubled parking their work truck in a handicapped spot blocking access, my father was forced to park much further away and walk, which caused him undue pain after having his hip replaced. Additionally from the damage to the truck its pretty clear the driver isn't very attentive or caring of others... When I contacted them via live chat I was asked to give my contact preference (either email or phone) I gave my email address and then they wanted my phone also. I gave it and they asked my name, gave my first name, then they wanted my last name... Crazy! Why ask me for my preference and ignore it and try to build a whole profile on me? I can't let you know what your drivers are up to without you running a full profile on me? Glad I saw how they operate before I ever did business with them. Based on the 3 star rating I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one dissatisfied with how they conduct themselves....

While sitting in traffic on the 60 West bound just after merging from the 57 North, slowly moving along in the slow lane, I notice a white pickup pop out of line behind me from about 10 to 15 cars back. I knew exactly what he was doing, he was skipping ahead using the extra on ramp's merging lane. Initially, this bothers me when this happens because the majority of people are waiting their turn but there's always someone who thinks their time is more important and cuts in front of the line. What made this instance interesting was the fact that this was a work truck with ""Highland Commercial Roofing"" printed in large bold lettering on the side, various state licensing numbers included and all. This move was very unprofessional, and driving this way in a marked work truck isn't fair to the company if in fact the company holds their workers to a high standard.

The bottom line is that this behavior reflects poorly on the company, and I'd worry about what other types of inpatient or dishonest behavior this may translated to on the work site if I were looking for company to handle a job.

Talked to a representative from Highland Commercial Roofing who assured that doing our commercial roof would be no big deal, and that removal of the old roof may be necessary. After a few pictures, and assurance that the only issue would be money, we waited for a response. Didn't receive a call and had to call them. He responded via email with the following: ""...regarding the roof bid for ---------------- ,unfortunately we will not be able to bid this job ,because of the layers on the roof. After speaking to my boss ,this is not really our strong suit. I wish you the best of luck, .....Thanks - - -""

Again, they came highly recommended but left us in the dark and having to call them for status.
