Norm has been a consummate professional throughout the process of replacing my roof. Always on time for appointments, patiently answered all my questions, kept in constant touch via email with daily updates on progress, handled some rotted eaves and chimney woodwork, coordinated getting the satellite dish replaced and working, and handled the inspections and permit process. Price was lower than the competitor's bid, the area was cleaned up each day, and the end result looks fantastic! Highly recommend Norm and his team - high marks for High Point Roofing!

We used Norm to re-roof our old house in La Honda. He and his team were great. Despite a very complicated roof structure with a lot of annoying detail work, his team did a great job. I know they ran in to a lot of unexpected work and they had to buy some extra materials they weren't expecting, like cedar shingles for a small area hidden under some eaves, Norm did not charge me. In fact we had a misunderstanding about a small project I thought was included but was not in the contract. My fault for not reading carefully. He threw it in at no charge. The whole project went smoothly with great clean up afterwards and a beautiful roof with a five year warranty! Also, despite an irregular roof line on our 90 year old house, they kept the shingle lines very straight and evenly spaced. Something a previous roofer was not able to do. Not sure how they did it, but I appreciate the workmanship.

Norm was recommended to us and we completely understand why now. Our new roof is fantastic. The attention to detail, repairs, replacement, clean up all done on time.

Showed up on time for our first meeting, were professional, gave an estimate right away, showed up on time every day, cleaned up after themselves everyday and finished on time. Plus, great job on the roof, very happy! Would highly recommend. We also had skylights and sun tunnels put in at the same time as the new roof and High Point coordinated the work with that vendor. We also had new gutters put on at the same time. High Point coordinated that as well but didn't sell us the gutter service and then mark it up. We paid the 'gutter guy' directly.

Great work for an extremely competitive price. I shopped around, and the combination of Norm's personality and his prices won me over. My roof survived the huge storm we had a month ago, and it looks great. All told, I'm very satisfied.

I had my roof replaced by Norm a few years ago and it was by far the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. After the job was supposedly finished, I climbed up on the roof to check it out. I was shocked to see that the roofers had left all the electrical connections on the roof disconnected. We have quite a lot of electrical conduit on the roof, which they had disconnected while they worked. When they were done they just left all the conduit laying open on the roof. After some haggling, Norm sent an electrician out to fix the damage left by the roofers, which took him over 4 hours. I shudder to think what would have happened if I hadn't inspected the work. Undoubtedly our house's electrical system would have been flooded with water on the next rain.

Then a few weeks later during some rain I heard water dripping inside an interior wall. I called Norm who sent a guy out to add some caulking. This didn't solve the problem. After a few more visits, they finally determined that the water was leaking through a small cripple wall on the roof. At that point Norm told me it was not his responsibility to fix, and pointed me to a clause in the contract which said that walls are not covered. He freely admitted that his men probably caused the damage to the wall during the roofing work, but said that since it was a wall and not the roof itself that was leaking, he wasn't going to fix it. I had to hire another contractor to replace the siding on the wall. That contractor and several others told me that I should sue Norm for the bill, but it wasn't worth my trouble.

All of the other five star reviews for Norm come as no surprise to me. I am happy to confirm that my experience working with him was just as wonderful as his Yelp reputation would seem to justify.

Norm was courteous, incredibly professional, his pricing was fair, and the end product (i.e., our brand new roof) is great. It's so refreshing to find a contractor like Norm who responds to all forms of communication very quickly and is genuinely concerned that his clients are truly pleased with the results of his work. In our case he brought several different samples of roofing material to the house. When I didn't think any of the samples were quite what we were looking for, Norm went to great lengths to find the exact style that we wanted.

Early on in the process I learned that Norm is quite an ultra runner. Say what you like about individuals who run 50 miles or more through the Sierras (you may think it is masochistic, but I think it is incredible), but somehow it just all makes sense. He reminds me of the grownup version of those fantastic cross country runners that populate nearly every high school. You know the type -- kind and hard working, down to earth, quietly confident.... Anyway, the revelation that Norm can run 50 miles at a stretch didn't surprise me at all. I think he brings the same determination to his work, and it shows. Nice work, Norm!

YAY Norm!! I had to do a reno. from 3,000 miles away and the roof was the first piece. Norm was a gem through out the whole process. He explained everything and (gasp) came in On time and On budget. All throughout the project he was in touch via email and phone and I knew what was happening every step of the way.

Norm has a great sense of humor and responsibility which make him, and his 'guys' a team that can't be beat! I recommend High Point Roofing with no hesitation.
