High Bar Roofing and Construction

After shopping around we hired High Bar to remodel our bathroom. One week before start date I called Calvin, who had quoted the job, and said I would like to meet, have detailed convo, pay the requested 50%, because I would be leaving town & needed to purchase the tile etc. he said he couldn't meet that day & would call me back. Never did, so imagine my surprise when the original start date came & my husband called me at work to say they had arrived to start the bathroom. And that's how the communication continued... long story short, Calvin nor Blake were on site except to collect $, the work was done by 1 guy & his less experienced helper. They argued some, tile is clearly not their strong point. After the shower floor was finished so poorly, it didn't slope properly, standing water. You might expect an apology, sorry for the inconvenience (at this point we are on day 35, of what I was told would be at 10 day job) Blake Carnes (owner) & Calvin left after finally coming to see the water-not-draining problem & simply said, we will let you know about a solution. Ummmm what?!? So 2 weeks go by & he finally text me. No Thank you, I had to hire a different company to fix floor & finish the job.
There's more but you get the picture... mostly they don't really know how to do the work & the lead guy needs a lesson in customer service!

Was great the first time they installed all new gutters, but they placed one that drains into our patio. Called to ask for leaf guards to be added and the gutter to be moved. Whoever picked up the call was obviously pissed off at this for whatever reason, but said they would call back to schedule.

Never called back. Posted on their FB and was accused of being a fake review despite proof.

Who can honestly say that dealing with contractors and insurance claims to replace their roof was enjoyable? I CAN!
Blake with High Bar was an absolute pleasure to work with. We were selling our home and it was determined that we needed to replace our roof in order to satisfy the inspection requirements to close. I sent a request for a quote and within 10 minutes I had a response and an appointment time for Blake to come out that same evening. The incredible service and response time didn't end at the initial consultation though.
Throughout the whole process, Blake was very communicative and I always knew what was going on. In order to help us not completely clean out our cash prior to closing on our new home, he worked directly with our insurance company and our title company to collect the deductible portion at closing. This was a HUGE HELP and we greatly appreciated his knowledge and willingness to do the extra work by coordinating with our insurance company on our behalf.
The house we moved to is a new construction build so, lord willing, we shouldn't need anything fixed for a while but when the time comes that we need anything roofing or construction done, we ABSOLUTELY will be calling Blake again.
Cannot recommend this company high enough!
