REVIEW AGAIN - STILL HAPPY!
Heritage Home Services is my #1 choice for roofing and exterior house repairs. The bad weather of 2023 in Round Rock caused a lot of damage to our home, and Mike and his crew did a great job to get our place back to top condition. Mike is good at communicating, and treats us with professionalism and kind consideration. I feel like he works to get us the best price and has the jobs done in acceptable timeframes. Thanks again, Heritage Home Services!

This excellent review is long overdue. I originally had contact with Mike Hall, with Heritage Home Services, when he and his crew tore off and replaced our roof. It has been several years and the roof has held up great! They also added new ridge vents, to allow ventilation. Their prices were fair, and the work was great. I have recently contacted him, because a different roofer accidentally began to remove my roof! The bad roofing company tried to slap it back together. I called Mike Hall to verify the repairs, and he found that the repairs are sub-par, and the bad roofers hadn't put the roof back to its original condition. He will be redoing the bad roofer's bad repairs.
I realized how much I depend on Mike Hall to be fair, and honest. I decided I want to give him a shout out, because as a realtor, Mike has helped many of my clients in the past. I refer him to anyone that needs a roof, or roof repair.
217 Almquist - repaired roof leaks, the house being bought by my 1st time home buyers. He looked at it, and repaired the roof the same day. He also went above and beyond, he painted all of the roof vents so they would look pretty.
2103 Jasper - My buyer's needed a new roof before purchase. Mike's crew worked with the insurance and new roof was completely finished before move in date.
3604 Walleye - I was helping the seller, the roof was shot. Mike worked with insurance, and got the roof replaced before the closing date, no problems.
1007 Parrot - My residence - didn't disturb our life much. Our dogs barked at the sound of banging, but they came, worked and left the yard clean and free of debris and nails.
1005 Parrot - My neighbors. I helped them sell their house. They needed shingle, siding and dry rot repairs. Mike got it done quickly before listing. The exterior of the house passed all inspections. My clients were very satisfied. Mike found matching siding to match their old style vertical siding. They even painted the dry rot repair areas to match the other paint.
1309 Rockridge - there was a problem with rain draining down the front of the entryway of a 2 story house. With a change of flashing, and a redirecting of the gutter drainage, the problem was fixed. Mike did the repair on site the same day. He knows what he's doing!
This is my long, short list of all of the properties Mike has helped me on. I keep him on speed dial, and he always answers. He has good old fashioned work ethics, and I trust him very much. I can't say that for all workers that I've worked with, so it is extremely refreshing to find A+ customer service with Mike Hall at Heritage! Thanks, Mike. (I'm gushing about him, but this is out of my own gratefulness. No compensation has been received for this review. :) )

My experience with Mr. Mike Hall owner of Heritage home services. I signed a contract with Mike Hall he was very friendly told me don't worry he will take care of all the insurance paperwork. The contract was for $4800.00 down $4800.00 upon completion. For a new roof, 12x12 patio and 12x12 patio cover. Mr Hall did the roof in one day including the removal. I verbally discussed about several section of decking that needed to be checked and possibly replaced. He advised me not to worry he has 20 plus years and he knows what he doing. I ask him about the sections we talked about and he said they where solid. Once he completed or should I say his works completed I inspected the work and found numerous problems with the work. The sections of decking we discussed had not been changed and are not solid. There is molded, split decking, as well as blown out wood from the nail gun being set too high. I addressed all of my issues with Mr Hall and he just kept making excuses. The decking is over 40 years old and dry. First if the boards that are blown out are not 40 years old. They are still yellow and the old decking is grey. I sent him pictures of the mold and he said it was staining. He new there was mold because he saw it by the chimney when I was replacing the boards under the eve. He even committed on it when I was working on it before we even signed the contract. From the beginning Mr Hall new that the insurance had to inspect the work before I would receive any money. He continues to harassing me for payment even accused my of trying to get out of paying him. I paid him $5600.00 even more than he was entitled to. His crew even left Staples in my driveway from where there trailer was parked and he said he would he would pay for the tires. Which he has not. He has breached his contract by not completing the patio or cover. I tore the old patio out which was part of our agreement. I now believe Mr Hall never intended to install a patio or cover. He even sent me a bill for more than 5600.00 trying to claim that the insurance wasnt allowing for that until it was done. Even though he already told me several times he found it in the insurance bid, or he got them to pay for it. I addressed this with Mr Mike Hall before I paid him and he just said he was trying to get more money from the insurance. The insurance companies not giving him the money I am the only thing that matters is what we agreed on. He was allowed $364.00 for the drip edge he put the cheapest drip edge on you can possibly by and then put several strips on incorrectly which he still hasn't addressed. He also told me he was accredited by the Better Business Bureau. What you turned out not to be. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they ruled in my favor. He told the Better Business Bureau that he agreed to pay for the tires but I needed to give him the receipts but we discussed that it would be deducted from the completion of the work which he never intended to come do. He's now telling the Better Business Bureau that he will not honor the contract. but he will honor the warranty which he hasn't done up to this point, several of my complaints with Mr. Hall Are: Over nail shingles, incorrectly installed starter shingles. "" Voids manufacturer's warranty"" He also install drip edge incorrectly. He left Staples in my driveway that ended up in my tires. I had to replace 2 tires for a total of almost $450.00.
He also took the leftover bundles of shingles with him which belong to me and he told the Better Business Bureau that he believes those were his materials he will do what the hell he wants to with him. But then states I never ask for them. You have to keep the left over shingles in case you need to make future repairs so the color of the shingles match. He left rotten and molded decking on my house so the nails will not hold the shingles in certain spots. He also stated he needed payment for the roof so he could order the patio cover. From that point I ask him to let me know when he could start the patio he said he was busy with other jobs. I told him to keep me informed. That was over 2 months ago. I don't expect to get any money back from Mr Hall but I would like everyone to know what kind of person he is. That it's wants contracts to protect him but doesn't care about the other party as long as he gets paid. He will tell you what every he needs to to get the job. He will be very nice but BUYER BEWARE.

Heritage Home Services was a great experience from A to Z. The owner is a very knowledgeable, experienced and caring contractor. He listens to your needs and works with you to get the best solution and a great price. I have used him for several projects and he always did a great job no matter if they were large or small. He checks on the work as it progresses to make sure everything goes smooth. I give my highest recommendation to Heritage Home Services

Good luck if you choose these guys. I paid close to 8 grand for a new roof on a small home, so I expected quality craftsmanship, what I got was not better than the budget companies. Just try and get them to call you back when you aren't happy. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - choose another company!!!!!!

Outstanding does not come close to the wonderful work this company does. Mike made certain all of our questions were answered and our concerns addressed. The crew was very professional, handled the re-roofing job on our house in a timely, yet careful manner. We are so very happy with the work this company provided us with.
They gained our trust and repeat business. Am hiring them to install our gutters next !!
Keep up the good work Mike ! We thank you !!

Excellent, Excellent company! Hail damaged my roof, TWICE. We had several contractors over and everyone of them tried to sell me everything else besides just a roof. This company was awesome, not one time did they try and sell me anything but what I needed. They also dealt with my insurance company, I never once talked to them. So very professional. We came home to a new roof, no mess and a thank you card on my door. Thanks, Mike and crew! Will def spread the word around to folks here looking for honest dependable service!!

After receiving several quotes and listening to contractors, Heritage stood out because of no upselling, and giving good advise. After hiring them, they did exactly what they said they would do and when they said they would do it. His crew was professional and did an excellent job. They kept the area cleaned up as they worked and we were very happy we hired them. They even replaced several sheets of plywood that were showing rot at no cost added. We now have a beautiful roof and are absolutely satisfied with our choice of contractors. I highly recommend Heritage Home Services!!!

Contractor was hired to replace roof 2 years ago. I agreed to reuse existing drip edge flashing in contract but was not informed that flashing was in poor condition (had holes in it). In addition, existing drip edge flashing was not installed at correct angle and lip is bent, causing flashing to not function properly and divert water as designed. Contractor has failed to show for two (2) set appointments and refuses to return phone calls. So basically, for over $6 grand I got a leaky roof and now I have to pay someone else to correct their shoddy work. Thanks a freakin' lot.

Outstanding customer service! Dealt with insurance adjuster so I wouldnt have to. Mike is awesome!
Their crew swept the yard multiple times with magnets. No nails or any debris was left after they were done!
Awesome!!
