The absolute worst contractor we have ever dealt with. It's a very long list of items that we had problems with him He actually stole our money, failed to finish the job, tried to have us arrested and more. What ended up happening is that he was charge with illegal dumping of our, and our next door neighbors fence. His company was also charged. Both felonies because he had priors. We are filing in court to get our money back that he stole. Don't do business with Robert Kosack, Hope Star LLC or Heritage Construction. He is a crook, does a lousy job and steals from you.

I hired Heritage Contracting Services to install gutters, alex and robert showed up gave an estimate took measurements and showed us color samples, they scheduled the job for a week later the crew showed up and did a fantastic job I would highly recomend heritage contracting services for what ever construction needs you might have. Super friendly and helpful and answer all the questions I had very satisfied.

Robert and Heritage Contracting Services did an amazing job on my mother's roof. They came in, gave a free roof inspection, called the insurance company, and helped filed a claim.
They helped us get the roof approved, and installed a great quality roof in one day. I recommend this company 100%! Great service and quality.

Unfortunately Robert Kosack started a 20,000. Job for us 9 months ago and not 1 of the repairs are complete. He requested the majority of the insurance money and now he has not returned our calls in months after putting us off. We have neighbors looking for him as well.

Robert and his crew replaced sheet rock on my porch ceiling as well as floated and repainted the entire ceiling. Everything was done to my satisfaction. The work area was kept clean and neat. I will be using Heritage for my next home project.

Robert Kosack of Heritage Painting & Contracting, in Spring, Texas, gave us quotes for nearly $40,000.00. He was the only representative of the company we ever dealt with. He said he was bonded and insured. He explained that there would always be a new or updated quote if the job scope changed for whatever reason. Although we requested one, he never provided us with a contract of the work beyond the original quotes.
We made all requested progress payments. We made our first complaints after some of the initial work, such as tiles not level in one bathroom, a poor job of cutting in for painting, lack of planning for how a shower wall would finish with a non-squared room wall, really bad hazing from grout installation, etc. Robert assured us that more qualified people would be brought in to correct issues and the remaining work would be better quality. He did not explain that he intended to bill us for the rework or bill us at higher rates for the more qualified people.
At the point we had paid Heritage approximately $30,000 into the project with no end in sight, we questioned how the remainder of the project could possibly be finished reasonably close to the quoted amounts. Half the job remained and yet he assured us that to complete all work, we might go over by about $3,000. We requested details of invoices. We determined that we had been overcharged on most of the work, including paying multiple times for the same work. As an example, electrical work was quoted for $3,850. The electrician completed $1,198 of the work, but the bill was for $4,000. Robert claimed to have made a mistake and it should have been $3,000, still way over the $1,198.00. It seems his cut as contractor was really large!
Robert had brick layers doing inside paint work: both cutting and finish coats. We previously had no texture on the walls and now they are inconsistently finished. As a new contractor explained in his bid to correct the work: we need ""Sanding priming and repainting for Correction of improper wall prep, brush marks, roller nap patterns, paint holidays and paint build-up"".
Regarding the poor quality work, he stated that he wasn't surprised since my wife and I were not supervising all of the work. Robert seemingly didn't do any supervising at all, so we wonder what he expected his role to be in this project.
We were forced to end the relationship with Heritage as we had no confidence the job would be completed correctly or honestly.
We are looking at spending thousands of dollars more to fix the poor quality work he left and to complete the remainder of the project.
We absolutely do not recommend Robert for any work in your home.
