I was connected to Henala Roofing via California Solar and Electric as my roof was coming to the end of it's lifespan, and I wanted to redo it BEFORE it became an issue and I had to remove all my new solar panels and then reinstall them. Although in the end, I decided to go with another contractor I can't speak highly enough of William. After discussing what I was looking to do, he was able to give me a through and competitive quote for re-doing the roof only under where the new panels were going to go and for the entire roof.

When he received new information from the solar company about my tile, he quickly revised the estimate then called to follow up to explain the what the change was, the reasons for it and answered every question I had clearly and patiently.

My solar installation by California Solar and Electric has been completed and Henala Roofing was scheduled to come out today and complete framing in the panels and replacing broken tiles etc. Henala provides first class roofing repairs and installations and the crew is amazing. Today I had Oscar and Alfredo arrive to complete the project and they were nothing short of fantastic. The eye for detail and quality workmanship is their goal always. I also had the please of talking with William the owner and dealing with Giovanni and Gio on other visits as they prepared for the final frame in. My previous review outlined the shingle base that the new panels were installed on and then the solar panels were installed and yes today the team finished framing in the panels and it looks fantastic. The warranty on the roof is 25 years regarding leakage etc.
Who ya gonna call? Henala Roofing as the value, quality and expertise is bar none. Highly recommended.

Henala roofing gave a competitive quote and I am so happy I chose them. They started the job quickly when a slot opened up earlier than expected. Gino and William communicated quickly at each step and were very easy to work with throughout the process. The whole process took just 4 days start to finish, including permits and inspection with the city. My sincere thanks to William, Gino and the Henala Roofing crew!

Henala Roofing repaired my bad chimney leak just before a major rain storm. The repair was successful and was done with no damage to existing tiles. Roofer took safety precautions and cleaned up after the job.

We had the pleasure of engaging with HENALA roofing recently (recommended by a solar panel company), though we changed our mind on solar panels and reroofing, we felt compelled to share our experience.

We had a very old roof on our main house and the patio. William and his brother checked our roof toughly and provided us a list and quota for reroofing. He also pointed out the patio roof (i.e. flat roof) was not done correctly before , and put reroofing the patio as an optional item. We talked to other roof contractors before, but they only looked at the main house, not bothering with the patio even when I asked whether they could reroof the patio too. Afterwards, we had a lot of questions about the material, warranty, etc. Each question was met with honesty, clarity and great patience. William took the time to explain every detail thoroughly, ensuring we understood the roofing process. Even though we decided to put the project on hold, we left the conversation feeling informed. We would like to recommend them to anyone in need of roofing services!

Subcontracted thru my solar company. Henala is a newer company with a fairly young crew. They completed a total tear-off and composite shingle install on my home. A total of 6 days to complete the project. Average workmanship.

Minus 1 star for these issues:
1. No one present at material delivery. Wrong materials ordered but luckily I was home to refuse delivery.
2. Wavy metal valley install. William did his best to remediate but ultimately decided to leave as is. IMO this should have never occurred in the first place but did and ended up wasting a lot of my time with back & forth communications and on site visits.

Only time will tell if any roof issues come up and Henala honors their warranty.

William and his team provided excellent customer service from giving an honest estimate, handling any city permits/inspections and making sure the roofing product installed with quality and care. I had recently bought a home that needed extensive roof repairs, enough that a new roof would be necessary. They answered all my questions and concerns with ensuring my roof would be 100% water tight. I definitely recommend Henala Roofing for your future new roof or any fixes.
