Alan is knowledgeable, professional , and above all honest. He helped me select the right roofing materials, and made sure I understood the pros and cons of the various options. There were two knowledgeable and helpful managers on site to answer questions during the entire project. My pool/yard were appropriately protected during the project. The project deadline was met in a timely manner. All aspects of the contract were met. Alan exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Helsley Roofing.

After researching various roof repair companies, I chose Helsley Roofing not only because their bid was fair and competitive, but also because Alan, the owner, is professional, prompt, honest and goes by his word. Alan always makes himself available by phone, email or text to answer any questions, and I really appreciate that. The office staff, Chris and the others who work with Alan are friendly and responsive. They also install and clean gutters. As such, I highly recommend Helsley Roofing for honest roof repair estimates and quality work.

My recommendation is to avoid this company. We had plenty of sunny days but our roof repair was completed during forecasted thunderstorms (easily avoidable) and we had water dripping through our sheetrock into our floors and furniture. It is simply not professionally managed or supervised to my expectations. Their response was ""rain wasn't forecasted until later"" and ""it will be okay"". They came across as very condescending in their actions and words. Also, we have video footage of one of the roofers trying to enter our home. No knock, no ring of the bell, he just walked up and tried to enter through the front door. We notified USAA and they escalated a review of this for their ""recommended contractor pool"". Alan and his crew have done roof and dormer repairs for us and we could not be more pleased. They follow up and make sure we are satisfied with every repair. They are the only roofer I will consider if we need a roof replacement.

Helsey did my roof back in 2008- fantastic job. Just had an inspection to see if I had hail damage. Call me jaded but I figured I was going to for sure have damage. Surprise Surprise!!! I didn't. He said my roof doesn't even look 10 yrs old! Highly recommend this company for quality work, customer service after the sale and most of all- ethical.

They installed my roof in 2014. Great work. Provided me with a list of shingles to choose from which allowed me to work with my insurance company and obtain the specific shingle I needed to reduce my insurance premiums.

I have had no issues, my neighbor used them last year and also had no problems.

I'm truly mystified by the folks that have posted bad reviews about this company, as they have now replaced the roof on two of my homes and done a phenomenal job at it. They are not a budget roofer, or the guy you want to call to cheat your insurance company out of your deductible, but I've got no interest in that type of company anyway. I am purely interested in a company that provides quality products and service for a fair price with integrity. Helsley has provided that for my family both times we've used them. This latest time, we were in peak season in a city with every home needing roofs due to hail. Many roofers went up on price after quoting because the market would allow it - not Helsley. They completed the work as agreed. Their crew was extremely courteous, always cleaning up to ensure our kids could safely enter and exit the home to play without stepping over shingles, nails or tools. The crew did take a long time compared to some other homes in my neighborhood - because they were ensuring that they were not knocking ""rock"" off the first few courses of Texas July hot shingles by trampling them repeatedly in the heat of the day and diminishing their lifespan. I watched other roofers fail to replace CHEAP tar paper on hail damaged roofs to save a buck. Helsley scrimped on NOTHING. Say what you like, but I can honestly say this is the first company I would call if I went through another hail storm. Their work is spot on.

Avoid this roofer like the plague. Had a roof put on by them about 10 years ago and they did not make sure the pipe allowing carbon monoxide gas to go out from the attic was attached. My renters could have been blown up & when I called Helsley about it, he was unconcerned & said they often forget to connect the pipes.
My renters disconnected the carbon monoxide detectors because they kept going off! A disaster waiting to happen. Fortunately, they only used the gas oven a few times. I was lucky & so were my renters & Helsley.
Now, Helsley is doing a friend's roof and the company has done a slop job, taken forever and the roof failed the city inspection. Avoid this company at all costs!

If you're okay with a company that doesn't pay attention to details and is not customer-oriented, I suppose this one would do.

What I suspect is they don't count on people taking time to write a review or call back and complain during a slamming-busy time such as this. I laid out in very clear detail what my needs were (a full roof replacement with no sales pitch - just my damaged roof replaced) and how I could be contacted (on my landline during the day). The office admin AND the sales guy both called me on my cell despite a clear note stating to call the noted landline during the day. Additionally, when I did speak with the sales guy (Brad), he immediately - and I mean straight out the gate, no questions about my damage, nothing - began pressing to set a meeting to discuss upgrade products. After letting him know I had already spoken with Allstate, had a check in hand, and needed a line item quote, continued with the 2 meeting approach (inspection and sales pitch, see?). I asked to know, ballpark, what I might expect to see cost per square was; and, he literally became belligerent, said he just wouldn't ever do that and he'd look at my house from satellite and call me back with what he saw (despite my telling him I knew exactly how many squares were being replaced, etc.) Spoiler alert. I never heard from Brad/this company again.

I've had 2 companies who did give me their costs per square over the phone - and I did make appointments with both. For the record, this isn't some secret code. It's my house, my roof, my insurance - my money. And I have a right to ask about costs. And any contractor has a right to say no - but to be defensive and rude tells me a company is interested only in my money and not in providing me a service.

I'll tell you this. I personally wouldn't let let these folks step foot on my property.
