From Rocky Start to Stellar Finish: Our Roofing Experience

We initially contacted HD Roofs after noticing their work in our neighborhood and receiving a recommendation from a neighbor. Their quote seemed fair compared to other roofing companies, and we appreciated their approach. Ace, our contact, was thorough in answering our questions and confirmed a start date. Ace was the only contractor we met with who automatically asked if we wanted them to remove the old wooden structure covering our patio. He thoughtfully included it in the overall job, which removed a significant pain point for us.

However, on the agreed-upon day, no one showed up. After some back-and-forth, we learned there had been an internal miscommunication (a crew did finally show up later in the day). This left us disappointed and worried about the project's future, given such disorganization on day one.

Ace listened to our concerns and reassured us. As the project progressed, we witnessed a remarkable turnaround that completely changed our perspective. The team's performance from that point on was excellent, demonstrating professionalism and skill.

The roofing team that arrived at our home was exemplary. They demonstrated a high level of professionalism, paying meticulous attention to detail in their work. We were particularly impressed by their overall tidiness; they kept the work area clean and organized throughout the project, minimizing disruption to our daily lives. Though we find nails etc. from time to time, we still appreciate that they went around our house with a big magnet at the end of each day to actively pickup as much small metal debris as possible.

We did face some delays due to shipping issues with our skylights. However, Ace kept us informed about the situation, worked diligently to find solutions, and remained committed to delivering a quality result despite the challenges.

Cutting the skylight openings in our vaulted ceiling also took longer than planned due to our rafters being more closely spaced than is standard, but Ace and his team handled the situation well. He brought in a structural engineer and made it a point to make the additional costs for blueprints as affordable as possible.

Heads up: If you're adding skylights in Cypress, be aware that the city Building Permits Office may not approve your roofer to install skylights. In our experience, the city insisted that the installer had to have some kind of window installation license or a general contractor's license. Luckily, we worked out another solution.

The follow-through demonstrated by HD Roofs was exceptional. They didn't consider the job done until every detail was perfect and we were completely satisfied. This dedication to customer satisfaction turned what could have been a mediocre experience into an outstanding one.

Now that the project is complete, we couldn't be happier with the results. The new roof looks fantastic and has made a noticeable difference in our home's temperature during this hot summer. The improved insulation and ventilation have created a much more comfortable living environment (with no AC).

I had an emergency this week and HD Roofs Inc came through for me when others took their sweet time.

I had a beehive removed that required the removal of a portion of my roof. Neither of the two repair companies that the Bee people recommended even bothered to call me back. I talked to 4 other companies and they took their sweet time getting back to me.

When I talked to Ace the project manager from HD Roofs he gave me a quote that I saw the next morning and he said I can get it done Thursday which was literally the day after I signed the contract. He prioritized my project as an emergency since my roof was wide open to the elements.

Furthermore they packed the area in with insulation and sealed it to leave no room for future Bee infestations because Bees can smell or detect old hives. Having the extra insulation and adding sealant will help ensure that the bees have no place to rebuild a hive. That's exactly what the Bee removal company told me I needed to do so the fact they did that showed they are pros who know what they are supposed to do up there and Ace came by several times to take pictures and make sure his team at my house was doing it properly.

They went above and beyond by making time when other companies thought my job was too small to make it a priority. They also replaced broken tiles across my roof and replaced the trim next to the hive that was rotting due to the elements. They left my roof better than it was before the damage occurred. I cannot express enough gratitude.

We purchased our house in Late 2023 and it was in bad need of a new roof. Ace gave us a great price on asphalt shingles. He provided a quote for gutters as well and handled everything having to do with that other contractor.

We had a freak storm come in one night right after the old roof had been removed and Ace called me one night and said they were coming over to tarp the roof because he had been watching the forecasts closely. It is awesome to see a contractor that cares about their work and doing the right thing.

Hjs crew was professional and courteous. They cleaned up after every day and even went around with a big magnet to make sure all of the loose nails from the old roof had been picked up. We even received a daily update from him with pictures about the progress they had made.

I would recommend HD Roofs to anyone needing a new roof. True professionals I wouldn't hesitate to use again.

I was worried that I had a leak in my roof and HD Roofs was super responsive. They came out and checked the roof the same week I requested a quote and were very timely and nice. Unfortunately they determined that any leak that might be happening was under our solar panels so we weren't able to use them for repairs but I really appreciated their professionalism and responsiveness.

After a big rainstorm I developed a leak in my roof. Ace came out and did a thorough estimate along with texting me pictures of my roof. Ace and his crew were able to get me in a week earlier than scheduled because his previous project was completed earlier than expected. The leak repair and roof maintenance was completed within a day. Lucky for me, it was completed before the subsequent storms.

I requested someone to come out to give a diagnosis and estimate on a roof leak. I had to follow-up multiple times and never received an estimate. My ""job"" was probably too small for them, but still unprofessional to give false hope.

2/8 - A tech came out
2/9 - I asked for the estimate and they said it takes 3-4 days to give the estimate
2/15 - Followed-up on the estimate and they said I'd receive it by the end of the day
2/16 - They claimed the estimate was sent out, so I asked them to resend it in addition to another email address. Nothing.

We bought our home last year, with an old roof that is long due for replacement. I found a handful of roofers on yelp for quotes, and decided to go with HD Roofs because their quote was detailed and Juan seemed genuine and profession. I booked with them on May 2023. But due to poor weather conditions earlier this year, it was pushed all the way back to September. It was hard to get a hold of them at first, but after being assigned to Ace, the communication was much better. Ace was very professional and went through all the wood that may or may not need replacement. There was a price shock that when we tore down the roof that there were ALOT of damaged wood that needed to replace. When given the final quote including wood replacement, we asked our contractor friend and he deemed the price reasonable. At that point, we proceeded with the project. Ace was a pleasure to work with, he is humble, honest and he went in details with the roof project. During the roof replacement, we noticed cracks on the ceiling from movement and impact from roof. Luckily it was only drywall damage, and Ace covered it for us.

In the end, Ace and his team delivered an exceptional new roof for our home, complete with a warranty of course. I recommend HD Roofs if you're in need of a reliable and professional roofing company for your replacement project!

I saw great reviews for this company so I made an appointment. Gentlemen named Ace comes and inspects the roof, he tells me I have to replace the eaves, separate job. He said he would call with a quote, never did. I had two more companies come by and they saw anything wrong with eaves.
