I called a few different roofing companies for an estimate for a client's home purchase out in Kavala Ranch area of Rancho Cordova. They were pleasant on the phone from the start, and provided free roof repair estimates.

Cody came to inspect the roof, and he did a thorough job, showed me photos, sent the estimate the next day along with photos for reference.

Paying for roof items is like buying new tires. It's never fun, an added expense, but definitely necessary. The estimate they sent was reasonable for the items needed, and I will be paying for it at the close of escrow.

This is a nice, local business that answers the phone every time I call.

I had dry rot on all four corners of my roof and eaves requiring replacement of the wood. Harlan Roofing gave me a great estimate and showed me what their repair plan was, fortunately they had recently done the exact same work on my neighbor's house (same floor plan and builder) so they knew what to expect. In addition to fixing the rot they made preventative repairs so I won't have the same issue. While fixing my original problem they discovered a pipe vent that didn't have the proper flashing and would definitely leak in the near future, they included that repair in my original quote, totally unexpected and very appreciated. The work was completed in 3 days and everything was cleaned up daily. I will use them every time.

Five stars on Yelp reviews denotes ""great"". That's certainly true of Harlan Roofing. But, the word doesn't do them justice. They are the most professional business with which I've ever worked. I can't overstate it. For anyone who has a problem with their roof or a question about it, you will not regret calling Harlan and asking for Cody. He is so knowledgeable and honest, and a delight to work with. His staff - we worked with Pancho today -

This company is amazing with its honesty, quality work, friendliness and professionalism. This is the way a business should be run.

I received quotes from two other companies - one quoted an expensive repair that turned out to be unnecessary, and the other company quoted an insanely ridiculous amount and then essentially stalked me to sign the agreement. It blew my mind how quotes can vary by thousands of dollars for essentially the same work.

Harlan quoted me a very reasonable price for what needed to be done now to fix the issue. They offered a second quote for some maintenance work and cleaning that they said could be done in the future and is not a pressing concern. The other companies didn't even bother to send separate quotes, quoting expensive repairs that weren't even necessary at the time, and just didn't provide the overall friendly service that Harlan provided.

I accepted Harlan Roofing and they came out and fixed the roof in a timely manner. A week later the roof guy, Cody, who is both very amiable and professional, mentioned he wanted to replace some broken tiles at no extra cost to me. This is a company that really cares about their customers.

Lastly, I mailed a check to Harlan to cover the repair and my check was stolen somehow in the mail and was forged for a larger amount of money. The check cleared the bank. I had to go through the trouble of closing my account, dealing with loss prevention, and opening a new account while waiting for my money to be transferred. I mentioned this to Harlan and they said they understand and to not worry and take my time and even offered to come pick the check up from my house when I finally get my new checks in the mail! It was very nice of them to offer that to me although I did not want them to go through the trouble since they weren't at fault with what happened. Waiting for me to pay while I was dealing with loss prevention was great enough.

I highly recommend Harlan. I can't emphasize this enough. Know that you will be in good hands with a company that cares.

My realtor actually recommended this company for my roof repair, and I so am glad I listened. Cody from Harlan gave me the most thorough inspection and quote compared to the other two companies I looked at. He was able to complete the roof repairs quickly, and provided before and after pictures as well. Brittney, the office administrator, was also quick to reply in her emails, which made the process very smooth for me.
