I have used the services of Hampton Custom Remodeling for six years. They have installed water heaters, windows, in short they remodeled a rental property and remodeled my primary residence. Repairs have been made on my houses that were done in a timely and very satisfactory manner. For the quality of work that was done I really felt I owed him more money after completion. The finished job looks really good and their renovations have increased the value of my properties. Consequently, his renovations makes the homes look much more attractive than they were before which makes my properties more easy to rent. What is so good about this company is the ability of Mr. Hampton to make recommendations on improving the finished look of your property because of his many years working in this field and his attention to detail. Hampton would assist me in emergency situations like when I had to have plumbing work, floor repairs and a water heater installed. He could have charged me a lot more because of it being an emergency but his rates are very very reasonable. He is fair with his pricing and if you have a problem with his work he will resolve it to your satisfaction. My daughter uses this company as well and they did a water damage repair and additional improvements to her new home. The work they did was excellent so that you cannot tell or smell that there was any water damage. The improvements still look like they were made recently so apparently he uses high quality materials. I would recommend his services to family and friends because he has been forthright and honest in his business dealings and his ""make it right the first time"" attitude.

Still waiting to be paid. Expected payment in October, then November, then before Christmas 2017.

2017 Update on this item: He never paid me back any of the money. I kept getting text that he would pay. He has never paid back any fees as of September 2017. (T.Bohler) . Original Message posted in 2016--- I hired him to construct a small dog fence. I paid him 500.00 and cancelled two additional checks for 400.00. He failed to complete the job. In 40 days he only put 4 posts in the ground. I hired another company to put up the fence. The new company used one man to put up the gate in 5 hours. It cost 700.00. Mitch has yet to refund any of my money (which includes $500 cash that I paid him and $100 paid to court to file on him ( but I cant locate him to get him served). This was a project that started in April 2016.

I hired this man in 2006 to modify a leased commercial location to open my small business. He assured me he was well versed on construction requirements for the city/county. He estimated 20,000 to do the complete job requiring 25% up front and an additional 25% at 1/ 2 completion and so on. I put my trust in this individual and let him begin work after giving him $5000.00 up front. After some work was completed he told me that he had completed over 25% and required another payment of $5000 to continue. I paid the $5000 but he did not show back up for a few days. Becoming concerned I contacted the fire marshall to ask if the work thus far was sstisfactory. I was informed that it was not up to code. Mr. Hampton refused to make corrections and I had to hire another contractor. All the work I had paid for had to be ripped out and redone. In total I ended up paying a total of $50,000 for a job I expected to pay $20000 for.
Had I have known this I would have kept working from the basement of my home. This was a financial hit I never really recovered from and now that I approach retirement I will have to continue working for some years to come, thanks in large part to Mitchell Hampton. I attempted to recapture some of the loss from him but he uses the bankruptcy laws excessively and to his favor. Do not give him any money up front and make sure he also pays his subs so you are not faced with a mechanics lien..

I just had the outside of my house remodeled by Mitch Hampton and his crew. They replaced all of the trim, painted the whole house, rebuilt my deck, replaced doors, locks, washed windows, powerwashed the house etc... Some of this work was identified as recommended repairs/building along the way. Mitch was very willing to work with me to make sure I could afford to get all the necessary work done. I felt comfortable calling and asking questions and Mitch was very responsive to any questions or concerns that I raised. My house looks great! My next major home improvement project will be finishing my basement. I will definitely call Hampton Remodeling when I am ready to proceed.
