I hired this company and I am extremely dissatisfied with not only the work but also the poor service. I had to hire another company to fix what was missed and to prevent further damage to my property. It was all around a terrible experience and I will not use this company going forward. Do you research before you deal with G&W. I dealt with the company for Titusville

A year ago I had GNW roofing give me a price on putting a new tile roof on my house. They started in December 2021 and finished in January. Way too much time. When they started my roof, they tore off a section and it started raining and they left leaving my roof, exposed and water running in my house. They never fixed it. I asked several times and held up payment, and they never responded. now that they finish the roof and I have a warranty they will not respond to warranty work. My roof is leaking in my chimney again I have called three times with no response yet. These are not good people.

This company was hired by another company for me due to their inability to repair a leaking roof they replaced. They came out, initially inspected and I showed them all the problem areas that were identified and marked out for them. Several days later after they had all the information and said they would send the quote nothing was heard from them, after calling them personally they had to send out another estimator since the first person either did the estimating wrong or lost everything. So the second estimator comes out does it all over and quotes the repair after conversing with myself about the issue areas and what needs to be repaired. The company paying for the repaired that failed to correct this issue in the first place accepts and approves the quote, this was December 2021. Now it is September 2022 my roof still leaks; G&W roofing has been to my home on almost 10 separate occasions and out of the 2 leaking areas and one problem area they have only repaired the minor leaking area. Due to their inability to fix my roof I now have significant ceiling damage, my roof still leaks, and what was identified initially as a black spot in the major leaking area has now turned into wood rot and I have a hole in my roof decking that I can put my thumb through and touch the underlayment of my roof. I have had extraordinary patience in trying to get this repair accomplished with them to no avail. I have attempted to contact the president of the company twice, the first time the main ""superintendent"" that oversaw most of this debacle called, I attempted the president again and then I got a scheduling clerk as the president Paul Weiss happened to be out of town on both separate occasions. After the second attempt they stated they would let the vice president know and he would call me by the end of the next business day, and he did not. During this entire process I have had to deal with multiple different repairmen informing me with how they have decades of experience doing roofing and it will be a quick fix and just to fail like the rest. The people they sent out also strayed from what was quoted using phrases like we fixed this because it is not the way ""I"" do it and now I am stuck with a leaking roof still over a year later and a failing ceiling in one of the rooms in my house and they will not even contact myself to make what they were paid to complete right. BUYER BEWARE

Once again it has been a huge disappointment in using this company for our new roof. We got the new roof around two years ago and it was a disaster from the beginning. The crew was extremely messy and had no regards for us coming or going from our house leaving garbage in front of our front door back door and garage door overnight so we had to crawl over it to get to work in the morning. Shortly after the roof was finished our skylight (that they had replaced) was leaking and it took them 6 months with multiple phone calls and multiple days of staying home from work because they claimed they were coming and would never show up before they finally came to fix the skylight. Fast forward 6 more months and our roof is leaking once again by the fireplace. Knowing it's Covid and everything we have given plenty of leeway knowing they are short staffed but here we are three months later and still no one has come to fix our leaking roof. We have called multiple times and been told we are on the list to then be told that they accidentally completed the work order and would have someone out either that Friday or that Monday. Friday and Monday came and no one showed up. They said they would be here on Saturday and once again no one shows up. This company is completely unreliable and they do a terrible job with their initial work and then refuse to fix the work they have done.

This roofing company is reliable and honest. They did a shingle roof and a flat roof for us ,the roofers were polite and competent.We were impressed by the excellent clean up after the work was done..Even years later never found a stray dangerous ,nasty roofing nail in the yard...They give advice on the best roofing material within your budget. At request, they promptly come to inspect the roofs for damages after bad weather..After the hurricane Dorian, Bill came and inspected..He then called to give a review of the entire condition of the roofs , alleviating any concerns ..Thanks, Bill. The office staff is always polite, professional and helpful.

This review is based solely on their business practices which made me too leery to have them do the work on my family's Florida home. They were scheduled to replace our roof but called to postpone the work due to a terrible storm (understandable). I asked if they could begin on a Friday, so they rescheduled it for Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon. I called two days before and confirmed the date. The office person cheerily CONFIRMED I WAS ON THE SCHEDULE Friday and they would be at my residence Friday morning. I stressed several times how important the dates were (4 days) that I was on a tight schedule. The office person corrected me and stated it would actually take only 3 days but they could lose a day due to weather. I stated that was fine because if it only took 3 days and they lost a day due to weather, it would still be done within 4 days. She agreed. All was well.

Friday morning G & W Roofing was a NO CALL, NO SHOW. I waited and waited then finally called to inquire. The secretary stated there was a delay because it rained the day before (understandable) so they would arrive at my residence later in the day Friday, not in the morning. She said she was contacting someone and would call back IN A FEW MINUTES to let me know about what time they would arrive. SHE DID NOT CALL BACK. Over an hour passed and I called again. The secretary said, ""..oh, you're actually on the schedule for MONDAY"". When I asked to cancel the contract, she said they would charge me for the permit cost. INCREDIBLE. The VP promptly called upon hearing I wanted to cancel the contract. He provided some interesting information. He stated it was impossible to have done the work in the timeframe originally promised by the company anyway due to removing the original roof, inspections, and whatever else. The company gave us a full refund of the deposit and cancelled the contract without incident. This company may possibly do good work (so I gave 2 stars rather than 1), but the failure to communicate schedule changes, inaccurate information, and the seemingly lack of consideration for the customer or the customer's time, made me too apprehensive to have them do the work.

Contacted G & W Roofing for roof repairs just after Hurricane Matthew, November 2016. The estimator was very thorough and prepared a detailed proposal which described the work to be done and clean up to be performed as well as the Mfg. and name of shingles to be used. To make a long story short two young men showed and they left my roof littered with nails and pieces of shingles and well as several shingles that were damaged during repair. They refused to repair damaged shingles as specified in the proposal, stating that they were only to replace missing ridge shingles.

The shingles that they used did not look right, so I took a left over shingle to a local distributor and learned that they had used shingles rated at 60 MPH where as the job proposal called for a shingle rated a 120 MPH. After several unanswered telephone calls, I placed a hold on my credit cared payment and wrote a letter to owner. I will leave out some more pain and anguish here and get to the finish. Two more roofers later showed up and I could tell that at least these guys were experienced. It appears that they did a good job, but did not replace 7 shingles on the top level. They did a good job of cleaning up. After email to business and 7 days the same workers showed up without an appointment, but never the less I was happy to see them. After they finished I was pressured to release the cc hold. I told them it would only be released after I got around to inspecting the roof, which I did over the week end. Inspection OK.

NOW I KNOW THAT ROOFERS HAD A HARD TIME KEEPING HELP AFTER HURRICANE MATTHEW, AND I WOULD NOT BE WRITING THIS REVIEW IF I HAD RECEIVED ANY HINT WHAT SO EVER OF AN APOLOGY.

Workers had very poor communication with the home owners over the 10 days it took to put on the roof over 1 room of less than 200 square feet. We were promised that the self adhered water shied would not leak but the next day after a thunderstorm we were cleaning up wet insulation and wet dry wall under the roof. Workers changed but only one guy predominantly assigned to this job. Worker primarily arrived at 9:30 am (even when one of the workers early in the first week of the job said they would be at the site at 8:00 am), left for lunch at 11 am, returned between 1:30 and 2:00 and left at 5pm. AND, this roofing job of less than 200 square feet cost us $4000! Perhaps this company is better with large jobs that require large crews. Would not recommend.

This company put our entire roof on. We needed to replace it. We found out later that their price was high. They did not want to warranty their work. I am very disappointed in this company.

I felt compelled to write a review on this company in order to share with others in Daytona Beach Shores and surrounding communities who may be looking for roof repair or replacement work. This company obviously takes great pride in the work they do by hiring workers who truly know how to do their job! Each time when the city came out to conduct regular inspections throughout the process, the inspector would comment how the work was being completed above and beyond what was required by code. G&W Roofing gave me a good price, a beautiful roof, and went out of their way to ensure my satisfaction. I highly recommend this company!
