Guy Roofing representative would not get on roof or in attic to physically inspect roof damage for repair estimate. Individual stated they were not physically able to inspect on the roof or in attic. Individual used a drone which has limited capabilities. Guy Roofing rep said they would follow up with an estimate but never did.

Complete crooks replaced a few shingles and charged me 3 times the actual cost. The invoice was heavily padded with over $500 in labor for a 30-minute job. They split the job into 2 appointments so they could charge double for labor even though it was a tiny repair. They changed me labor for 4 guys with one doing the work and the other 3 standing there. I have the video.

I was also charged $168 to toss about 8 feet of gutter.

They also failed to show up on 2 different appointments without notice which ended up costing me two full days' pay.

I called to discuss the issues and Sylvia was incredibly rude and threatened legal action if I didn't pay immediately.

Do yourself a favor and find another roofer. I'll is contacting my insurance to let them know not to recommend or deal with this company again.

Guy Roofing is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Guy Roofing overcharged me by $10,777. They did not stand behind their employees verbal quote. I had excellent credit prior to interacting with Guy Roofing. My credit score was mid 700s to low 800s. I own a rental single family house in Columbia SC. I bought it brand new (new construction) in 1999. The original roof was still on the house. I got three or more bids and selected the lowest bid. Lowes the Home Improvement store was quoting something like $12K to replace my roof with the same or similar material that Guy Roofing used.

Guy Roofing salesman quoted $8,299 to replace the roof and this included my $1K deductible. Nation Wide my Insurance company at the time recommended Guy Roofing. So, I went with the lowest bid and felt good because this is the company the insurance company has a good relationship with.

It turns out the young many sold me the roof for the amount that was being financed. It was a couple of weeks after my roof was replaced that I received an invoice for $19,075.76.

During the many conversations, the sales manger told me the young man that sold me the new roof for the finance charges no longer works for the company. Most of the people I talked with at Guy Roofing were decent people.

I tried to find lawyers to help me out but they said I signed a contract and there was no help for me. Also, they implied you are going to run up a legal bill that will amount to the overcharge and the chances of us winning anything are extremely small.

So Guy Roofing filed a mechanics lien on my property. I was adamant that I was not going to let them charge me an extra $10K. I had to cave in because I need to maintain good credit. Their contract was not clear to me.

Also, they mentioned that their billing system does not provide all costs until after the project is finished. A lot of red flags with this company.

I hope my situation gets to Senator Elizabeth Warren. She is passionate about consumers being treated fairly. I think this company is dishonest and uses deceptive business practices.

What a miserable bunch of people to try to do business with. I was trying to get a quote on a new roof for my 95 year old mother but they wouldn't keep the appointment unless they talked to her.

Don't waste your time listening to the sales pitch, the salesman quoted a price of $79,000 to replace or $17,000 to fix a roof on a 1200sf house, They guy must have been drunk. A roof should cost between $3.50 and $5.50 a sf. $4200-$6600. They are using common core math at Guy ripping. You a new one.

I suggest you get an additional estimate. Had a small leak in my roof. Guy Roofing estimator wanted me to pay $6,100 for a roof ""tune-up"". I was surprised because I paid (to a different company) $2,700 for a complete new roof 8 years ago. Called another company who came the next day, and repaired on the spot for $250. Rained last night, no leak!

Contacted Guy Roofing about an issue on the roof of my screened in porch, shingles were buckling - the roof on this porch is about 20 x 16 ft.
They suggested I replace the whole roof on the porch and quoted me $7,000 - yes that's $7,000.
Obviously, they didn't want to fool with such a small job, so they quoted a number that would definitely make me decide not to go with them or quoted me a price that if I did decide to go with them, then they would make a tremendous profit.
Bad business - beware.

This roofing company answered my e -mail & calls quickly, were very Professional & Courteous and their rates are Fair! Tough times made easy. We would definitely recommend them and use them again. Feel lucky to have a good roof over our heads and good people responsible for it!

Called me four times to confirm my husband would be there for a consultation. Curious as to why I ( as a woman) am not ""allowed"" to make decisions on my own. This was literally to have them assess the roof for any storm damage due to visible curling of the shingles.

We never heard back after a nice guy came to our house saying he was working on a neighbor's house and assessed our roof. We called about 4 times and it's been more than a month with no reply! He even left a sign in our front yard advertising, but never returned. Very strange circumstance, still wondering how to return the sign!
