This is going to be a lengthy review. I hired Gutter Master Roofing & Construction company on Thumb Tack. The front 20+' gutter on my 3 story townhouse fell down & was hanging from one side. I was concerned it would fall & hurt someone. Rush Perry responded quickly & came out the next day. He agreed to fix it by replacing it with a wider gutter with a leaf guard. His price seemed reasonable. He stated that it looked like I needed to replace my roof but said when his brother John comes to replace the gutter he will have him look at it. They did a decent job on the gutter. John confirmed my 20 year old roof needed to be replaced. I also had some wood damage on the 2 dormers on the roof, which he said they could replace with Hardie board. I was so impressed that I told several neighbors in our townhouse complex & 4 other homeowners contracted with him to have their roofs replaced & some additional work.

Well I should have been alerted when the roofing crew showed up at 7:30am & stood outside for several hours looking puzzled. I finally went out to see what was going on. One of the men told me he was told this was a 1 story home, not 3 stories. In addition, he wasn't told that all the materials removed would have to be thrown down the front of the home, which he said would take much longer. In addition, the roof materials which were supposed to be delivered in advance did not show up until the afternoon. It turns out the roofer was a subcontractors. They finally figured out how to get up on the 3 story roof. They finished the next day. I think they did a good job on the roof, but time will tell. The clean up was a disaster. I have been finding nails in my driveway & on our street for weeks. My neighbor actually got a flat tire from it. In addition, they slit 2 of the screens on my front windows.

Now comes the bad parts. Weeks later, without any advance notice, the roofing crew showed up at my house to repair the damaged wood on the dormer. I was out of town, so no one was home to help them get up on the roof. They figured out how to get up & replaced the damaged wood with yellow hardie board. When I got home I noticed something strange. The dormers, which were white wood, the lower panel on each side had been replaced with yellow hardie board. Now I live in a townhome community with strict covenants, & this was a violation. I called Rush & asked when they are coming to paint the hardie board. He said ""we don't paint"". Wait what. A construction company that doesn't finish their job & doesn't paint. The hardie board could have been painted even before installation, I would have painted it if I had known it wouldn't match. Rush states he told me that the hardie board only comes in 2 colors, yellow & gray. I remember him telling me it came in 2 colors but not what colors they were. I fact I had asked him if one of the 2 colors would match & he said it would. In addition, one of the neighbors had the same thing done on their home. Funny though their dormers were gray & Rush used yellow hardie board on their home as well. Looks awful by the way. They must have had a special on yellow hardie board.

When his brother John came out to repair the 2 screens they had damaged, I asked him when they were going to chalk the front of the dormers as as previously agreed. John said ""you can have whoever you hire to paint do the chalking"". Wow. That's service attitude. Remember, they call themselves a construction company.

Several of the neighbors have had problems with the work they did. One neighbor finally cancelled the job after waiting 3 months for them to do it & requested a refund of his deposit, which he is still waiting for weeks later.

They may do some decent gutter work & even hire good roofing contractors but that is it. Their construction work is spotty at best. They leave the job incomplete. They returned texts, calls & emails at the beginning but did not do well communicating with me or my neighbors & were very slow in returning them as time went on.

Lesson learned for me. I will never recommend anyone to my neighbors again. I am so embarrassed about that. I should have stuck with what the company really is a gutter repair company. This was a bad experience.

Now I have to pay someone that can get up on my 3 story roof to paint & chalk, which is likely less than an hour job.

USE GUTTER MASTER ROOFING & CONSTRUCTION AT YOUR OWN RISK

I also would not recommend this company. I had insurance claim for damage from tree falling on back of house damaging my deck. After weeks of waiting for repair on house, they put up the same old sliding when it should of been replaced. They cut all corners they can to get the most of your money. Didnt do good gutter work either. Theres lots of companies out there, do your research.....

My husband hired Gutter Masters Roofing and Construction over a month ago to put in 4 standard french doors in our kitchen. We were told that it would take up to 4 days to orders the doors and the labor of putting int he doors would take a less than a day to complete. After about a week of paying the deposit, my husband called Rush to get an update on the status. They had forgotten about our job and were going to put the order in for the doors that day. After another week My husband called and they said that they needed to measure the doors, they came out 2 days later almost 3 hours after their appointment time. Once the finally arrived, they said that they Still have not ordered any of the parts. Once they finally showed up with the doors, the measurement were all of to connect and lock AND they only ordered two of the four doors. Approximatley two weeks later and after ants and rain had gotten into our home from the sloppy installation of the first two doors they had ""installed"" the showed up with the other two doors that DID NOT FIT! They also said there was nothing that could be done to make the doors fit and to not have holes to the outdoor elements!

They have since put in the other two doors with the same issues as the first two, leaving us with un-lockable non intact doors with holes in them. TERRIBLE COMPANY. DO NOT HIRE.
