Gulf Coast Roofing was recommended to me by a friend, who told me they are ""not cheap, but they do excellent work"". I researched several companies and then decided to go with Gulf Coast. They were pleasant to deal with and removed our old shingle roof and replaced it in a very efficient manner. My husband and I were very impressed with how professional they were.
That is, until the end of the job. On the last day, after the workers had left, we saw what looked to be roofing material very sloppily applied to the area where the roof meets the house. We thought that maybe they weren't done yet and they would correct it the next day. I called our salesman, Mark to ask him whether the job was done. He told me it was, and when I told him about the sloppiness he became extremely rude, even hanging up on me at one point. When I called him back, he said that black roof adhesive had gotten on some of the painted portions of our house. When I tried to ask him questions about that he continued to be extremely rude. The following day an employee came to paint over the areas on which they had left roofing adhesive. Luckily we still had some paint left over from when our house was painted. Mark came to look at the job, and again was extremely rude to me. He clearly didn't seem to care whether we were happy with the job or not, nor did he treat me the way a customer should be treated. Clearly, customer service is not his priority. It is really too bad, because up to that point we thought we were dealing with an excellent company. After the way I was treated by Mark, I will not be recommending Gulf Coast Roofing.

I can't say enough about how good this company is. We researched roofers in our area to tear off and replace our old tile roof. We received multiple quotes and recommendations. Kevin at Gulf Coast Roofing was by far the most thorough explaining every aspect of our roof replacement. He was flexible in our selection and was sensitive to our budget. When the crew came out to tear off the old tile, they completely covered my driveway to prevent cracking and placed boards over every window and tarp all around the house to catch nails and materials. I've seen other roofers in the neighborhood ignore this step and only cover the garage where the debris was being removed. I was really impressed! My neighbor had a dumpster in her drive for a week. Gulf Coast brought their truck in and it was gone the same day. They also cleaned everything up at the end of the day. They exceeded my expectations and their roofing team were courteous and efficient. The tile goes on next week. I can't wait.

Finding a roofing company that does both quality and truthful work can be very hard to do. That's why I call GC roofing whenever I run into a roofing problem. Whether it is a repair or a new installation GC roofing is the only way to go.
