One of my initial projects after relocating to Arlington was a straightforward remodel. I constructed a 900 sq. ft. second story on a single-level house. This included a spacious game room, a bathroom with stairs leading to the main house, and a balcony with deck stairs.
I prefer to maintain a business scale that allows me to guarantee quality on every job.
I once worked for an elderly couple, both retired Air Force, who paid me with chocolate chip cookies. Those cookies were the finest I've tasted...besides my mom's and my wife's, naturally...lol
I have built my business primarily through client referrals and repeat work. That was until a client handed me a printout of a Yelp profile at his kitchen table, demanding, 'What is this?'. I replied, 'I have no idea, and what is Yelp?'.
It turns out I’ve been getting a quick education on Yelp. It seems that Donovan Lord set up this profile as a way to get back at me. I recently discovered that I can claim this profile, so I have. Research Donovan Lord before accepting his comments as truth.
I grew up in the remodeling business alongside my father (Ted Hall, owner of Skylight Specialists) and grandfather (Fred Hall, owner of Hall Construction). Both were trailblazers and visionaries in skylight design. I picked up valuable lessons about waterproofing. I began framing tract homes before transitioning to high-end custom builds. I helped builders achieve many accolades. www.signaturehomesaustin.com
Following my tour, I chose to go back to remodeling. I’ve worked on countless bathrooms, kitchens, room additions, garage conversions, patios, arbors, and decks. I aim to infuse high-end custom quality into my remodeling work.

Greg came in and removed walls and a 1970s-style wet bar blocking the center of my living spaces. He also raised the ceiling in the kitchen and master shower and did some demo work for me. He was AWESOME! He was friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable, and I really felt like he gave me a great deal on the work he did. Will definitely use him again! If you need someone to do beam work, you really need to call Greg because he knows his stuff.

warning do not use greg hall to perform any work for you. he will lie and tell you anything. he will show up for sometimes 2 hours at the most and will ask for more money dailey. his main helper was a 13 year old kid that knew nothing about construction. greg sawed through my ac refridgerant lines with a chain saw while removing old trusses and didn't feel he was even responsible. he pulls up in a old beat up truck and has very limited tools at best. he will borrow any tool he can to do the work. he quite this job after receiving the total money he had in the contract leaving many area's of the total roof replacement undone. this guy is a con artist and after 2 years since he started and quilt i have still not gotten this house put back right.

I had drywall in my kitchen and dining room with cracks in the ceiling and walls that I had tried to repair and made into a worse eyesore as I could not match the crow's foot texture. Since my botched repairs stuck out like a sore thumb, I decided to call a pro and let him fix the problems. Greg's estimate was extremely fair and he gave me the choice of matching the existing crow's foot or spraying in orange peel over everything for the same price. I chose the orange peel because I believed that would be easier to repair in the future.
My experience with Greg was very positive. Before he came I decided to add another area (a small hallway) to the job and wasn't sure what he would add to the bill. To my delight, he added this area on to the job for almost nothing. Even though I told him I wasn't too worried about the floor as this was going to be refinished, he completely covered everything and protected my property like the professional he is.
What I really liked about him was his willingness to show me hints and tips on how to do it myself. This probably has cost him more work as now I'm going to try again to finish the bedrooms myself--though I now I know who to call if I screw it up again.
He completed the job when he said he would and did a good job on clean up. Everything looks flawless and is everything I hoped for.
I would not hesitate to recommend Greg to anyone.

Greg just completed a roof leak and drywall project on our home and we couldn't be happier! Greg discussed the problem with me over the phone to gain a better understanding of the issue and damage prior to coming out to do an estimate. Greg asked all of the right questions and was able to sum up of the overall issue and explain how he would approach the problem. I knew at that point, we were in good hands. Prior to that, two other roofers had attempted to fix the issue, charged us for the repair, but the roof still leaked (tried to band-aid the issue with a tube of sealant basically). Greg was very meticulous and detailed with the roof repair, explaining and providing/texting me pictures each step of the way. He tore down, investigated, and then reconstructed the entire roof section in question; and then performed extensive water testing to ensure the issue was resolved. He and his team then moved the project into our home to repair all affected drywall, wood trim, and finally new paint for the entire room. His team took great care in protecting all flooring with plastic sheeting, to include the walking path from the front door all the way to the upstairs bedroom.
Professional, extremely knowledgeable, detailed and accurate price estimates.....thank you Greg!! We hope to see/use you again in the future.

I am a realtor and I flip houses. I meet and work with a lot of different contractors. One of my go to guys was busy and I found Greg Hall on Craigslist of all places. When I called Greg he was professional, asked good, qualifying questions about the project and set some expectations before we scheduled to meet at my current project house. He was on time, he assessed the work to be done and we agreed on a price. As he stated during our fist call he asked for a couple of hundred bucks to keep his help paid and agreed that the majority of his payment would be paid after he completed the job to my satisfaction.
Greg showed up on time each day. He let me know during our first call that his work day was sometimes shortened because of his kids school and activity schedule. He told me at least one day in advance what the next day's schedule would be. Honestly, his schedule didn't seem any different than most contractors I've ever dealt with. His willingness to let me know his schedule in advance and then honor that schedule was a great help to me.
His workmanship was top notch. He used good practices and made conscious decisions to do each step correctly while he worked. How refreshing to find someone who cares about their work. Everything he did was quality work. He told me what he was going to do. He did it. Then he told me what he did.
Greg did not show up in a $50,000 monster truck. He was not wearing a gold rolex and $500 dollar boots. He did not have a trailer filled with the most expensive tools. He showed up in a reliable truck filled with enough tools to do exactly what I asked him to do. He shared some of his opinions about renovation and I shared some of mine. I deferred to his experience and method on a couple of projects and asked him to do things my way on a few items. It was no big deal for me that Greg had suggestions about how things could be done. I was thankful for a fresh set of eyes to view the same problem and perhaps suggest a new or different method. It was comforting for me to realize that I had a skilled tradesman on my job site.
Judging from what I learned about Greg from talking to him and watching him work, I'd say he's been around renovation and construction enough years that he knows how to do a lot of different construction activities. I didn't do a background check on Greg, but I can tell you I left him alone in a house filled with thousands of dollars of my tools and I never once felt like he would steal them. He didn't. I don't know if Greg ever had a DUI or not. I don't care. I'm not the morality police and I don't see what that would or wouldn't have to do with anyones ability to do a good job on a construction site. I was with Greg each day for about a week and I can tell you the stiffest drink we had was iced tea.
I will positively use Greg again. I know what good work looks like when it's finished and his work at my location was good.

We had a roof leak on property, and even though our repair crew tried to fix it, the leak kept coming back. My repair people know how to do a lot of different things, and do them well, but they are not ""experts"" in roof repair.
Greg Hall responded to a listing I had on Craig's list, as well as several other people. His pricing was very fair, and he seemed to use all the ""right words"" as we discussed the project. I have an extensive contractor background, and can usually tell when a person knows what he is talking about, or not.
When we met at the job location, he found a problem that another roofing ""expert"" did not find. After much review of all the respondents, I chose to give Greg a try.
We had a minor miscommunication (not his fault) and he needed to redo part of the job due to color differences. We decided to pay him the balance of the project on good faith the he would come back and correct the color match.
He did so, and my client is very happy with the work. I would certainly recommend him in the future, and I will use him again if something comes up I need his help with.

Very professional and does quality work, quickly. Will continue to utilize Greg for my projects.
