Our HOA obtained a quote from Mauricio Rivas for roof work, and I spoke with Mauricio about some things related to a leak specific to my unit. He was friendly and provided some helpful advice for some simple leak testing which I performed. Later on I scheduled a visit for him to inspect my unit, and although he initially speculated that I'd need certain work done on my unit, upon visual inspection he told me that he suspected that there were other problems that were the root cause of my leak, and he said he didn't think his initial proposed work would help, so he declined the work. It was refreshing to see this level of honesty. Many contracts would have simply sold me something that would not have addressed my issue.
