Harry and his team were the best to work with on a full gut renovation of a house.
They were right on schedule and always coming up with solutions with us to make the build work out. These qualities are very rare in the construction world and this is why this project was as easy as could be, considering the work to be done.
Harry also cares and he makes sure to be there and fix anything needed promptly.

He showed up when he said he would, sent quotes when he said he would and finished the job when he said he would. The decision to go with Green Oak Builders for our fairly large remodel was honestly one of the best decisions we made in a long time. Harry, the owner of Green Oak, is one of the most honorable, professional and all around great quality human being. We have all heard nightmare stories about general contractors that either do sloppy work or end up charging an arm and leg during the process. Green Oak was always looking out for our best interest. In fact, they redid a few things without additional costs that was not up to their high standards. Harry consistently guided us in how best to spread our budget and actually discouraged us from doing certain additions even though it was against his best interest.

We highly recommend Harry and Green Oak Builders and if we could give a rating beyond 5 stars we certainly would. We are absolutely ecstatic with our remodel and love spending time in our home.

Harry and Green Oaks Builders are wonderful. After we had a burst pipe in our upstairs master bathroom, which flooded most of our house, we were lucky enough to find Harry. We quite literally ended up remodeling our entire house (down to every door & hinge) He is so professional, honest and highly intelligent. There were several ideas that we presented to him and he would always give his honest opinion, even if he would lose money by not doing something. We were never surprised with hidden costs or fees because any issues that came up (because of course there always are with remodels) he handled great. All his crews were also professional and did excellent work. We have referred him to many friends and we will absolutely use him in the future.

I'm exceptionally pleased with this contractor. Upon my request for an estimate, Harry came to my home the next business day to discuss my major remodel which included interior and exterior work. Other contractors don't even return your call. I had my ideas of what I wanted done and which was enhanced by his. He has a dedicated team of guys who've worked for him past 15 years with expertise in their work and attentiveness to detail and all work completed on schedule. Always something gets unmasked by the original builders' lax care. Harry made sure what need repaired was fixed properly. His rate was in range - very reasonable. We are almost done with our project, but I am uploading pictures of the work in progress to showcase Harry's work. I am overall very happy with Harry's work. Before our project started, we got 6 bids. His bid was competitive. Harry is very keen on looking for opportunities to save on cost and going about the project most efficiently as possible - which from what we know of most contractors do not do. For example, plans calls for very deep trenching. He recommended bringing out the geotech engineer to re-evaluate the foundation and we did not have to go as deep, saving effort, time, and cost. The saving is great in that it could be spent on the crew, material, and other unknown cost. Another instance, is a big order on drywalls. He ordered from a big national chain to save a signification amount which could be redistributed into the project. Another important part of the project is a big order of Kolbe windows/doors. Harry, designer, and architect make sure all the specifications are followed to the tee so our Kolbe installation had no issue. Our architect is Buchmann Design in Hermosa Beach and I would say Harry followed the plans almost the tee. There are so many inspections with the city from the foundation, slab, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, etc; all have gone very smoothly. Harry has done very good job coordinating our architect, structural engineer, geotech engineer, the city, designer, sub contractors, my wife, and me. This contractor not only has talent for construction, he also has eye for detail, design, but most importantly integrity. Very happy customers.

Harry and the guys at Green Oak Builders made my year last year. We had a newborn on the way and a super tight deadline to finish a complete makeover on our new home before we moved in. They met an ambitious deadline and beat out all the other bids. Harry was a rock star and made it all happen. I don't even want to think of the situation I would be in if he didn't help make it all come together. I actually remember one of the quotes I got from another builder and they said with my deadline and budget the work could not be done but Harry made it happen! The entire team was polite, super clean and professional. I recommend them as often as I can. I couldn't be happier.

We are extremely pleased with the quality of work that Harry Moon and his staff provided on our house renovations. Harry gave us an accurate quote (at a reasonable price) for the entire scope of work (3 bathroom renovations and kitchen ceiling lighting) and was VERY helpful in his suggestions as to the type of materials to use and where to find the best deals on those same materials.
