Green Leaf installed our solar system for us. Rick and his crew are professional and do high quality work. They completed the job in a very short amount of time. I work from home and they were able to do the install with minimal disruption or disturbance.

The owner, Rick, and his crews did excellent work for me as a subcontractor on an ADU that I built in my backyard. They were all very knowledgeable and hard working.

Rick helped with our electrical project and was really knowledgeable when answering our questions and guiding us through the process. He was straightforward and clear in outlining our options to address requirements of the project. His team was fast and efficient when working on the house to minimize any disruptions to our service. I would work with him again on future projects.

Rick's work is clean and done right. He and his team are very capable electricians who are able to handle larger jobs with higher power needs which some electricians a scared to touch.
I have used him many times over the years for my business and home electrical needs.
Prices are fair and reasonable.

Rick did a nice job when he installed solar elements on our roof. However, he was not able to help me with a repair. He promised numerous times to get it done but did not follow through.

Rick has done two jobs for us.
First was several years ago when the main, 500 amp transformer at work blew up. He responded immediately to my cold call, located a replacement unit in Texas(!), got it shipped, did some system upgrades, and we were back in business.
Next was Fall 2020 installation of six 6Kw Infratech patio heaters and control/power distribution box. When the equipment arrived, he was in the midst of a big project someplace else, but deployed a two-person installation team that finished the job in less than two days. The conduit workmanship is beautiful!

Rick and his team at Green Leaf Solar & Electric did all the electrical work on our new custom home. They were professional, easy to work with, and did a quality job. Rick had good suggestions for how to optimize our lighting during the initial walk-through. I highly recommend them for new home construction.

Team was easy to work with and maintained an open line of communication. Always kept me updated throughout the process from start to finish. They also followed up after the installation was complete just to see how things were going.
Customer service is their top priority and it shows! Highly recommend Green Leaf Solar!

If you have finally decided to take the empowering leap of going solar, I strongly encourage you to take the time to read this review in its entirety and learn how to make the most of your commitment through working with Rick Rodriguez and his company, Green Leaf Solar & Electric, Inc.
Let's start from the beginning, choosing a contractor. There are many companies offering a wide range of programs to aspire to the consumer's financial ability, let's face it solar is not cheap. This doesn't always mean ""you"" are getting the best long-term option, you're getting the best offer that closes the deal for your supplier. There are many factors to consider, but the most important in my opinion is the return on your investment, isn't that why you're going solar to begin with?! I had worked with Rick before on rewiring a significant portion of my home and new he was reliable and trustworthy. When I decided to go solar, my intention was to go big or go home. I was fortunate enough to be in a position to maximize my investment with the use of my long-term savings.
Rick explained in great detail that my current electrical needs didn't require that I go big. I would end up producing more energy than I used at the time thus, overpaying for my investment. We went around and around on this subject because I firmly believed that I was being more cost effective touching it once and saving on future labor. Back to my first sentence, most companies would accommodate me in a heartbeat upping their own profit margin, not Rick! He patiently took the time to explain that laying out the infrastructure for the possibility of additional panels in the future was in my best interest.
Keeping my costs to just what equipment I needed at the time gave me more financial freedom to work on other much-needed improvements; upgrading and converting gas utilities to electric, think about this one people, it's huge. This in turn would create more electrical demand and eventually those additional panels. At that time, I would also install storage batteries that would just blow my savings out of the water, practically off the grid. About those much-needed improvements, this year my Victorian home turned one hundred and seventeen, they built these babies to last the test of time, but not the least bit energy efficient. Even with structural improvements, short of a rebuild, I will most likely always pull more power to heat and cool than the average home. The more I can utilize the production of my own energy, the more savings ""I"", or the next owner, will have.
If you live in the Bay Area, you certainly know about the hot housing market. Here is where having solar really shines, if you choose to own. Ask any realtor what solar does to your resale value, and a good one will first ask, ""Do you own it?"" Back to my first paragraph, there are a lot of solar companies offering leases in lieu of upfront costs to close the deal. You and your potential buyer are leashed to that company for an average of 20 years, all bad, not good. That in itself is a deterrent to a large part of the buying market where owning your solar is a huge benefit for your resale. Leasing also affects your tax credit and monthly cost savings. That is why Green Leaf Solar & Electric, Inc. now offers an incredible financing program with a handsomely low interest rate through a company that specializes in financing solar opportunities, something I will be taking advantage of in the next phase. This coupled with the current tax credit being offered by the Feds is massive, I cannot emphasize this enough.
Green Leaf Solar & Electric, Inc. promptly provided me with the form needed for my tax return, took care of all Code Enforcement approvals, and guided me through the PG&E True Up program. All of these seamless transitions took place without me needing to be physically present and were one of the more impressive aspects of the entire process. One day your signing up with Green Leaf Solar & Electric, Inc. and the next your checking the daily progress of your solar production on the PG&E website and... it's all you can do to keep your jaw from dropping when you have your taxes done.
Turning a green leaf, no pun intended, okay, maybe just a little, with Green Leaf Solar & Electric, Inc. has been one, if not the, best investment I have yet to make, the returns just keep coming. Can the Stock Market give you that kind of guarantee? And, with the constant improvements in solar and electrical technology, those returns will continue to increase as I make improvements and upgrades. This is what Green Leaf Solar & Electric, Inc. and Rick Rodriguez do, and his father before him did. This is not an emerging company, here today, gone tomorrow, nor looking for a quick profit. In my opinion, this company truly has my best interest at heart and that is how you maintain a great, not just good, reputation.

Highly highly recommend going with Green Leaf Solar & Electric if you are thinking about solar for your home! Rick is an amazing service provider. Not only is he proficient in solar, he also provides electrical services too which you will need anyway. One less thing to worry about when installing solar is having to find an electrician too. Honest and open communication with me through out the entire process. I knew what was going on daily and received updates as needed. My solar project went super smooth and it was individualized for my home and they never pushed for things I didn't need. Very professional, very clean, and easy to deal with! THE BEST!
