Green Knight did a great job on replacing my roof. They are willing to work with your insurance adjuster (if needed) as well as outside vendors which, in my case, made my project more difficult and unique. I do not write reviews as a rule but this company went above and beyond the call of duty as far as professionalism and workmanship, and deserve the recognition. When I find a great business, I usually try to keep it secret so I do not have to compete with the rest of Austin in using them in the future!

We got a metal roof for the piece of mind knowing we are unlikely to have roofing problems for many decades. The quality of craftsmanship is apparent with the metal work around the two skylights and chimney. The various vents also got a upgrade.

Communication started out good with once a month updates as to our expected install date as it was months out. We were told by the sales guy that we would receive a call by the owner and that never happened and We really don't care about that but it was a foreshadowing of what to expect. Then the install came and they showed up. Yeah! The problem is we do not speak Spanish and there didn't seem to be anyone in charge or anyone we could communicate with. Some days there were 6 or 7 workers and others there were 3 and they were dropped off without a truck or anything and had to ask to use our restroom which was fine but super unprofessional. When spending over $70K I would like some kind of timeline or daily communication. We were also told that they would pick up nails everyday. . . not until we texted the only number we had to a person we had no idea it was did they do that the next day. The bottom line is they have no onsite supervisor and if you are fine with that . . . We were not.

Just had a Green Knight put a metal roof on my house and it's been a smooth process. I really appreciated their regular communication, especially since there was several months between signing the contract and the roof installation. I would receive an email every couple of weeks letting me know that I was still in the que and I had not been forgotten. Then a walk thru meeting before installation to discuss all the steps, plus texts with pictures of the installation while it was happening. The crew putting on the roof was also as nice and considerate as they can be. Really pleased with the whole process. Here's to never having to put on another roof again!
