I did thorough research on solar panels and installers before I chose Green Conception in June 2022. I'm on the board for my gated community and asked my neighbors about their experience of purchasing/leasing solar. Everyone had stories of being oversold (more panels than they needed), long delay times (shortest was 4 months and longest was 1 year) before their panels passed inspection and were up and running and damage to the roof by the installers. Valerie at Green Conception was very transparent about the pricing - most solar companies quote you a payment based on the assumption that you will pay down your loan with the Federal tax credit - and her honesty was what sold me. Nick was great at explaining the product, process and securing the financing. Jose came out right away and inspected my roof and I was installed within a week and both City and LADWP inspections passed within another two weeks. In less than a month, my solar panels were up and running, just in time for this heat wave! I would highly recommend Green Conception for transparency, professionalism and expertise.

I'm in the renewable energy space, I could have done this myself or convinced friends from company to help me on the weekends to do the installation myself. So I feel I have credibility when writing this review.

These guys are extremely professional and inexpensive with no BS. No harassing salespeople just professional project managers who talk you through their process which is mostly remote via phone, text and email. Constant communication before and after installation. They also have great financing options for a small fee ($500 vs $4,000 I got from other firms).

The design, permit and installation was done in about 10 days from signing the contract. The price per watt came in about 40% less than the closest competitor! Once final inspection was complete and LADWP set the new meter it was just over a month. At this price, service and timing, I'm so glad they did it instead of me spending several weekends on a hot roof trying to save a few bucks. Literally, it probably would have only been a few grand cheaper to do it myself (an 11kW system) but I would have lost my weekends for a month at least plus the hassle of running permits and utility applications myself.

Don't let other companies try and trick you with the density of their panels to justify their high prices. It's all about price per watt installation costs. They used high quality panels and personally I could care less if it took them 29 panels versus 27.

I'm very happy and estimate my payback will be about 5 years! That's a great investment considering I have a pool, 2 five ton HVACs and an electric car. What a deal!

Right from the beginning, Nick gave me a very competitive offer that I didn't need to negotiate like with other solar companies. When I didn't respond, no one form green conception bugged me for couple weeks unlike some other sales person that calls every other day.

The installation time in my contract was30 days after HOA approval, but green conception installed within a week, and got city and SCE approval in 10 days which is very helpful giving the heat and blackout right now.

Project manager Jose was very professional and everything was done perfectly. They even painting the power line to match my house.

My system has been running for few days now and it's producing 10% electricity more than what green conception had projected.

My system has been up and running for a couple weeks now and already making full use of it during the summer, Artin the Sales Manager was very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient especially with my 20 million questions. I highly recommend anyone interested in solar to go through Artin as his very genuine. Jose and Steven can't thank you guys enough for all your efforts and follow ups dealing with the city regarding permits, installation, and inspections. Can't be any happier with the final outcome!

Green Conception completed a spectacular installation of a fairly large system on my roof in Granada Hills. They we're professional in all regards, completing their work on time and at a very high standard of craftsmanship. The office as well as the supervisor and foreman communicated clearly and promptly throughout the process, answering all of my questions and addressing any concerns. When a problem with the roof cropped up, the president of the company Nick personally managed the necessary remedy in an ethical, honest and prompt manner. I recommend Green Conception to anyone looking for a well-designed, professionally installed solar power system at a great price.

Missed deadlines (every step), primary contact unresponsive for a week at a time (twice), plan submission errors resulting in more delays. I kept being told ""its because of the rain"", however, rain doesn't prevent drawings, plans, approvals, and additional paperwork to be completed (which was all late and/or incorrect) so it was just an attempt at an excuse.

There were some efforts made at the end by their operations manager, however, even then it was lacking urgency at times.

Their pricing was good but you get what you pay for.

The contract stated that job would be complete three months ago! My wife and I purchased a 10 kW system based on our estimated consumption. Now, we will be paying for 3 months worth of electricity without the solar. Maybe more! Still waiting approval from the electric company. Green Conception filled the application incorrectly on three occasions. We really wanted to give them more business by purchasing a Tesla Power wall. Hopefully, we will finish soon. I'll update this review at the end of the job.

Things started off well - the panels were less than at Tesla, and they kept us well informed of where they were at with the process of installation and permits, etc.

Once the new electric panel (the one with breakers that is on your house) was connected we started having issues with a specific breaker tripping. No problem, we were told, once the inspection is done, we'll fix that.

We also had to pay to have a ditch dug to bury the power lines, as this was a new requirement from LADWP. So, not Green Conception's fault, but still an unexpected cost. They arranged for a private contractor to do this, and again - we were told, once the inspection is done, they'll fill it in and put it back to how it was.

Where are we now? Yes, inspections have been done - solar is connected, and the ditch was *mostly* filled back in. But - even after numerous phone calls, and emails, we can only vacuum for a few minutes before the breaker trips, and the front yard is still not put back.

I haven't tried to vacuum today, so I'm less irritated right now than if I'd had to reset the breaker 3-4 times to clean one room but it's pretty frustrating (without exaggeration, this is what happens). Needless to say, we are disappointed and would have trouble recommending them.
