After numerous calls from Green California Builders to confirm the appointment, their guy comes out and looks at the project area. Seemed professional and experienced. After a tour and discussion, he asked me to forward the blueprints for the building to him so he and his engineer could have a look which I did same day. Never heard a word back, and this was months ago. Admittedly my project was on the small side -- removing a wall between kitchen and dining room -- but then why ask me to take additional steps and promise to get back to me? At least have the professionalism to let me know you don't want the project. So much contact setting up the appointment but then never another word. Annoying.

I just finished my master bathroom remodel with Johnnie from Green California Builders and had an enjoyable experience from beginning to end. When we started, Johnnie provided valuable consultation advice on what he saw in the bathroom that I had overlooked and would have caused the further issue if he had not said anything and we did the remodel without that input (which I had about 3 other quotes). Once started, Johnnie met with me at every point in the process from choosing tile to fixtures, once again stating what he thought would look good and what complimented each other. Lastly, and most importantly for any homeowner, each day he went over the work that had been done so you know exactly what was being done. This may seem like handholding to some, but for those who aren't handy with this type of work, it was very appreciated. I'd highly recommend Johnnie and his crew to anyone looking for a remodel and would use them again in the future if any additional work needed to be done.

A couple months ago I finally decided to remodel the master bedroom and bathroom, which I had been putting off for a while. I read positive reviews about Johnnie. Who would be the project manager. i knew needed upgrades were needed but wasn't sure what specific design I wanted. Johnnie walked me through the process and helped to create my vision. Communication with him and the Green California Builders staff was five stars from start to finish. Next year I am getting more work done and will definitely use Green California Builders again.

I finally decided to get my kitchen redone while in quarantine. It was great working with Green California Builders, I wanted some very specific things and they were always able to solve the problem or find someone who could.

They provided great vendors for things like tile and countertops, were always very responsive and my kitchen turned out AMAZING! I will be reaching out to them again when it's time to do my bathroom :D.

The only thing I would have hoped for was a little more communication about the daily schedule, I often didn't know if they were coming to work or not, which made if difficult for me to make arrangements for myself/dog since I'm work from home right now.

Let me preface by saying that I don't often write reviews on Yelp anymore, but I do still make a point to do so when I have a great experience. TL;DR: Working with Green California Builders was a great experience!

My wife and I were looking to finally get the the kitchen and family room as well as the master bathroom in our home completely redone. This was the first really major home renovation project that we had ever undertaken and we knew it was going to be extensive (we were taking out a load-bearing wall, among other major tasks), so we looked at integrated firms that could handle all facets of the project from design and engineering to demo, building and finishing. We got quotes from a few firms and settled on GCB because they seemed to be the most professional and most forthcoming with communication during the quote process. Turns out we were right.

Once the project started, we could tell that it was going to go well. We lived in the house while the renovation was going, so we could see first-hand how quick and professional the team was at their work. Communication lines were always open between us, EZ (the owner) and our foreman, and they were always flexible about addressing our concerns as we found them. There was extra work that needed to get done to upgrade our electrical as well as to repair termite damage that we didn't know about until we opened up the walls, but other than that, everything came in within budget as initially agreed upon and our house looks amazing! They weren't the cheapest option, but I think they were worth it (to be fair, they weren't the most expensive option, either). My wife and I couldn't be happier with the results and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who asked.

GCB does fantastic quality work. They had a wonderful staff! My biggest fear has always been allowing strangers into the house but all of their staff were very polite and professional! The kitchen remodel was done beautifully with great attention to detail and they were happy to answer whatever question me or my family came up with. Will be recommending to friends and family members regardless of job size!

Sent a request out to a handful of roofing companies for inspectors to come out. Scheduled time during work hours for Green California Builders to come to our home and inspect, after confirming twice. Nobody ever came and no response to my text inquiry. Unfortunately super annoying.

Green California Builders Inc. crew coordinated and performed a number of various repairs, replacements, upgrades, and restorative fixes on our San Jose CA home. This work included repair of exterior stucco and painting, doors, floors, walls, complete roofing, plumbing, and various trims. All facets of project work were completed promptly and professionally as specified; the schedule was successfully maintained; and unforeseen changes were seamlessly integrated very cost effectively. Special thanks to the girls at the office along with their field workers in delivering a very customer satisfaction oriented product. We are very pleased and plan to use Green California Builders Inc. for our future work. THANK YOU!

I gave them a fairly big painting job and I this is the best decision I made when it comes to remodeling my house, now it looks like a NEW HOUSE!!! Very prompt, and efficient; the project from the other contractors but the guy that came to my house gave me confidence and I like how he measure the house, his plan and advises on the job. This is why I hired Green California Builders Inc. When it comes to the actual work I was very surprise on the schedule maintained by the workers, everything was started on time and finished on schedule. Excellent work and I would and will recommend them to others. I have other exterior projects I would like to do in the future and I will call these guys when the time comes

My boyfriend and I just moved into a new apartment in San Fransisco, it needed a lot of remodeling and luckily we found this company to help us with everything. It was a free quote, very professional, and we did not have to wait long. They worked with us and the outcome was amazing compared to the condition our apartment was in when we first got it. I definitely recommend! We are sooo happy!!
