Recommended Customer Reviews

We hired Greater Texas Roofing for the recent roof replacement. The company and the crews were professional, and finished the jobs timely with good quality. Shane worked with my insurance company for the coverage, and coordinated the contractors smoothly. He is a good communicator, knowledgable, and honest. Highly recommended.

After replacing an old water heater in the attic, storm collar on the exhaust vent was pushed up. Contacted Kirk in the evening, he and his team came and lower and sealed the collar back right before next day severe weather hit.
Very grateful for Kirk and his team for the quick response.

I cannot say enough good things about Greater Texas Roofing and Shane Stone. In my 11 years in Allen, I have learned that hail storms and roof damage are a regular occurrence. But what is worse than the storms and the damage are the salesmen from the roofing companies that canvas the neighborhood for weeks after a hail storm--They must be trained in knowing the precise wrong time to ring the doorbell--when the homeowner is on a work call or just home from sitting in traffic, when the kids have just fallen asleep, etc.--and the sketchy companies that perform work at neighbors' houses, leaving debris and nails in the road and probably costing more in tire damage than the roofs are worth. Anyway, I found GTR from a few neighbors online at Nextdoor.com. Shane was extremely professional from the start. He was always accessible by phone or text and always responded back quickly. He was also knowledgeable and gave honest and accurate answers about what to expect in terms of (a) a timeline for completion, (b) from the insurance and mortgage company processes, and (c) the coordination of the roof installation and additional home repairs covered in the insurance claim, e.g., my fence and pergola staining, window and screen repairs, and interior damage repairs.
Once the actual repairs were underway, his crews were quick and did a great job on both the exterior and interior work. They were professional and polite, and worked really hard. They used a ladder to reach the nail pops in the 12' ceilings in the family room but had to assemble and use a scaffold for the 20+' ceilings in the dining room and over the stairs, but they got to every one of them. They made absolutely sure to clean up the exterior of the house after the roof repair and were just as meticulous when they did interior work. I was sure that I would have a day of cleaning after the interior work was done but the crew did a great job cleaning as they completed the repairs. They vacuumed throughout drywall repairs and painting. They made sure to return any furniture or décor if it had to be moved.
Meanwhile, they were very respectful of me working from home. I heard them occasionally talking during the interior work but were never loud, did not play loud music, and always knocked when they came in from lunch or breaks so I wasn't startled by their entry.
It wasn't until I spoke to a co-worker that had gone through the same process with a different roofing company that I realized how much Shane and GTR had made the process seamless and as hassle-free as possible. She had so many questions and felt so clueless in the process that I kept asking, ""Didn't your sales guy answer ANY of these questions for you?"" Her situation isn't unusual as I saw quite a few more neighbors online that used other companies for their roof repairs, lost in the process and stuck with a company that clearly wasn't customer service oriented at all. I felt so bad for her as she had already started on the process with another company but I made sure to share GTR and Shane's contact info just in case, and will share it with anyone else in need of roof repair from a great company.
I hope your home avoids damage from any future weather or natural disasters but, in case you need it, they can do it all. Call Shane and Greater Texas Roofing at (469)525-6359 or find them at www.gtroofing.us. You'll be glad you did!
