Greater American Roofing is phenomenal! They got my insurance company to cover my new roofing system, and I only had to pay my $1000 insurance deductible! I plan on selling my house soon, and I was told by my realtor that with the new roof I should be able to upsell the house value by nearly 10k!
Absolutely amazing, very professional, and no issues so far!

I would shout from the rooftops about how Greater American Roofing is the best of the best! They have been amazing through the whole process of replacing our roof in Indiana. From start to finish, we were kept abreast of every part from insurance, to materials, to planning, and execution. I loved the options of roofing material and was so surprised to see a pretty blue shingle option that matches so well with my home! We were even given status updates while the roof was replaced. Everyone is so professional in handling our roof that I would absolutely love to recommend Greater American Roofing to everyone I know! Thank you so much!

BEWARE of Deceptive Business Practices!

In April of 2021, Chase from Greater American Roofing knocked on my door to ask if I would let him climb on my roof to inspect for hail damage. After verifying his insurance information, he performed an inspection and found some hail damage. I filed a claim with my insurance company. I should note that throughout the process, Chase has been very polite and respectful.

After my claim was approved, I asked 6 other reputable roofing companies to provide an estimate of the cost to replace the roof. All 6 companies were highly rated through both Google reviews and one of the large national shingle manufacturers. None of the other 6 companies required me to show them my insurance estimate before providing their own estimate.

However, when I asked Greater American Roofing to provide an estimate for the roof replacement cost, they insisted on seeing a copy of the insurance estimate first. I got a call from Cameron with Greater American Roofing who said that they never provide an estimate without the insurance estimate. He said they use the same estimating program that the insurance companies do so the estimates will be the same. I asked him to prove that by providing an estimate and he refused. He then switched to high pressure sales tactics by claiming that Chase had ""risked his life"" by getting up on my roof and had spent time with the insurance inspector explaining the damage he saw. I told Cameron that Chase had knocked on my door and I had never made any promises to use them. The other roofing companies which provided me estimates were willing to climb on my roof to inspect the scope of work, and none of them claimed to have ""risked their life"" in order to get the job.

When Cameron was continuing his high pressure sales pitch, he said that his company has completed ""thousands of roofs"" and never provided an estimate before hand. I believe this is a lie because the company is listed in the BBB as having been formed in April 2020, or only a year before they contacted me. Cameron also claimed that a neighbor ""recommended they help me out"" which is why they contacted me. I believe this is a lie because none of my neighbors have had work done by Greater American Roofing or said anything about them to me. I believe that they use a program which shows hail storms that hit a certain area and then knock on the doors of homes in that area and try to justify a new roof paid for by the insurance company.

My biggest concern is that they will not provide an INDEPENDENT WRITTEN ESTIMATE of the work prior to starting the job. One reason they could do this is because they believe they can do the job cheaper than the insurance payout and therefore increase their profits. Obviously the result for the homeowner would be a lower quality roof. Having a written estimate before a contractor starts work is standard practice and protects the homeowner by providing a list of all work to be done and materials to be used. Greater American Roofing refuses to provide a written estimate and only wants to use the insurance estimate which is deceptive and will ultimately only hurt the homeowner.
