Mike from Great American Roofing is an outstanding business man. After reviewing some small issues that appeared on our home inspection report, he instructed my husband where to buy the materials and how to fix the issue himself. He came over to give an estimate within an hour of being called, and did not take a dime for the transaction. We were absolutely blown away by his knowledge of how to repair it and willingness to teach! It is an awesome thing to find a business that is solely dedicated to helping its community, and not prioritizing the dollar. Thank you so much Mike and Great American Roofing!

I had a small section on my roof and eve that appeared to be an issue. Mike came out to take a look and offered a very simple and easy fix to it that I was able to do on my own. He knew I had no idea what I was looking at and could have suggested a costly and unnecessary fix - instead he was upfront and honest about it. I won't hesitate to use Great American Roofing when it's time to replace my current roof.

My husband and I were going to put our own gutters on, you know, the pre-fabricated plastic ones you buy at the big box store.

Then we started thinking, do we want all of those seams all around our garage?

That's when we decided to do some research and called, based on other Yelp reviews.

Mike, the owner, came out, gave us a price, which was VERY reasonable, and said he could install them the very next week.

Well, they were installed today and they are GORGEOUS! Completely seamless and perfectly installed.

My husband and I couldn't be happier and highly recommend this company to anyone looking for gutters done right at a very fair price!

The News Media was warning everyone that there was a big storm coming and going to last a week. Then I suddenly heard something crawling around in my attic. Turns out it was a squirrel who made a hole in my roof looking for a place to hibernate during the storm, namely my attic. So I needed that area repaired as well as other areas that needed some tiles replaced. I called three other roofing companies and there was a two to three month wait. Mike from Great American Roofing was there the same day I called! Job done in one day! Whether if it rains or not I can live in peace of mind now. Thanks Mike!

I called GAR to get a third estimate because money as well as quality was a factor. Not only was the estimate less but the quality of work was superior. Mike took the time to meet with me and go over the estimate to make sure I understood what I was getting. He took the time to make sure my garage didn't get messed up because he was doing the roof above my garage and if he didn't put plastic down to protect all my stuff it would have been a big clean up project for me. He finished the work on time and went beyond the estimate to fix my rain gutter which was not installed properly the first time. You will be happy with GAR. Mike stands behind his work and his estimate.

These are the only guys I've come accross that tell you exactly what they're gonna do and then DO IT, ON TIME and ON BUDGET! I called GAR Co to get second quote after another roofing Co said I had a spot developing up there that needed repairing. That first quote was to the tune of $550. Well, thank goodness I was lucky enough to find Mike, he came around and had a look and said there was no way there was a big repair needed, in fact, he was so incensed that someone could mislead me like that he sent one of his guys over the next day to repair the spot at NO CHARGE! He said tho' my roof may need some work down the road, for now it was in pretty good shape and I was a long way from getting any leaks. He advised I cut back the trees to keep the raccoons from getting up there and clawing at the shingles. He also advised I get the pile of leaves off the roof too, to stop any water pooling up there, which I did right away before the rain came. Boy, was I grateful for Mike!

So, my next review will be to expose the rip off artist who wanted my $550 for repairing a small area that GAR did gratis and in a jiffy. (Stay away from John Day General Contractor and don't let his charm fool you!)

From this experience, I will highly recommend GAR and Mike for his complete honesty. It's refreshing to know there are some good guys out there in this dog eat dog world. I could have paid heavily for not getting a second opinion. His help was invaluable. He's at the top of my list! And thanks to the worker who came over and did the job! Amazing!

Moral of the story, GET YOUR 3 QUOTES before you make a decision!

Mike did a great job repairing my Spanish clay tile roof. He is extremely reasonable, honest and straightforward. He also does ""project management,"" which is similar to functioning as a general contractor. I want him to quote on some tile work in one of my bathrooms as well.
