Earlier today, I was flying my drone in my alleyway. As a new owner of this drone, I was practicing my piloting skills at low altitudes, perfecting my maneuvering skills. After 5 minutes of flawless flight time, I decided to not only fly at higher altitudes, but put my drone into high speed racing mode. Nothing could possibly go wrong...

With the drone wizzing high above, showing me a beautiful picturesque San Pedro view on the app, the wind picked up and I started to lose control. I frantically tried to regain control, moving my thumbs on the controller at faster speeds than the drone.

I ended up crash landing on the roof of my building, the drone app showing me crystal clear 1080p video of my drone upside down.

I called 3+ roofing companies, asking for help. Some were too busy to help, others laughed and said good luck. That's when I called Great American Roofing. Mike picked up and I told him my story. He laughed, in the friendliest most sympathetic way, and went out of his way to drive to my place and help retrieve the drone!

Mike is a great guy and I guarantee that if you need actual roofing services, you won't be let down. His character, and willingness to help, is a reflection of his work ethic!

I recently moved to a new home in Palos Verdes that was built in 1961. Our purchase inspection revealed a few broken tiles. But what is worse is that while in the course of fixing up the home, we realized that the 4 bathroom vents vented nowhere. They just vented the smelly moist air into the attic! Our electricians would not penetrate the roof since it was ceramic so I needed a roofer to create 4 vent holes with flashing and ductwork so that the fans would vent out of the house.

Mike Collins came within 20 minutes of my call and gave me a quick estimate. He was honest to a fault, gave me my options, and gave me a quote. He had his guys over in 2 days to start and they finished everything in 2 days. Vent holes, broken tile replacements. He even credited me $300 because his guys made a small error of using 4"" ducting instead of 6"" ducting. Which they corrected right away. This is how a company should be run - honesty first. Love Mike and his crew and we'll be using him in the future when we install our solar panels and make modifications to our roof.

Our experience with Mike and Great American roofing was great. Mike was very responsive to calls and inquiries. He was also very flexible with timing to fit my schedule.
His crew was great - very respectful of my property, and did a superb job on my large, and very complex roof. They did everything that was required, but did not try to do more (and charge more) than necessary.
I'm very pleased with them, and would highly recommend them. I will be calling them again for my gutters.
My neighbors even came by to tell me that the crew was courteous and cleaned up the little mess that strayed from my property. She even came by to offer them something to eat.
I couldn't ask for more. Very pleased.

These guys and Rick are going to RIP YOU OFF! Read all the reviews, half of them are posted scams, the other half are from customer's who have been ripped off. I am a contractor who has worked for them. They don't pay their bills!!! They owe me over $8000 they told me for 3 weeks my check, 90 days past due was in the mail. No one answers the phones, and most of their numbers are disconnected.

I think they may be out of business but if not...DO NOT USE THEM !!!

We got really lucky when searching for a roofer for our rental property. We reached out to our local community FB page & everyone said Mike Collins. The gentleman was on vacation, still made an effort to contact us. Protocol dictates getting more than one estimate & we did. The charm & professionalism that Mike exudes let us to selecting him. He doesn't just do the work, he walks you through it. When it came to the work itself his workers where extremely kind, professional & neat. They worked with very little words, yet in sequence. This is our second full on roof renovation, first time with GA Roofers, the quality & cleanliness they performed is top notch. Roof repair is an investment, Mike & his company truly do the most to protect your investment. Two weeks after they completed the job, it rained. Thanksgiving 2019 brought a lot of rain. For once in over a year, us and our tenants got to enjoy it. We highly recommend this company.

I had an excellent experience with Mike Collins and his team at Great American Roofing. Some tiles on my garage were ripped up during a recent storm and I only had less than a week to get it fixed before the next storm was gonna hit. I reached out through Nextdoor and several people recommended Mike. I call him and 2 other companies on a Thurs. Mike was at my house the same day to look at the roof. He sent me pictures the same day and I had the quote that weekend and he began work, on time, that Monday. The job was finished Tuesday afternoon, the storm hit Thursday and then another storm a week later and I have had no leaks what so ever.

The 2nd company I called never returned my call. And the 3rd company called me on Monday and said they could come out to give me a quote on Thursday (the day the 2nd storm was expected).

Mike answered all my calls promptly and in the detail that I requested. He even provided me with a letter for the insurance company that was exactly what they needed. (""Wind damage"" was covered!)

When I called Mike to request the quote I told him we might need a whole new roof (many companies would just agree and give me a quote for a whole new roof). Mike said we did not need a whole roof - just the garage. How refreshing it is to deal with an honest person who does not try to sell you something you do not need! I had an excellent experience with Mike and would highly recommend him to anyone needing roof work done.

Professional work at a fair price, with customer service beyond compare. I had the misfortune of buying a house with a ""brand new roof"" and gorgeous vaulted stained wood ceilings that hid the fact there was no ceiling insulation. After 4 years of suffering 100 degree temperatures all summer and 50 degree temperatures all winter (indoors!), plus outrageous heating and cooling bills to compensate, we were desperate. My doctor told me I was dehydrated and asked if I was doing hot yoga or spending too much time in a sauna.
