This company had put a new roof on one of my properties for years ago. My tenants complained that the roof was leaking. I called them to let them know that their work had failed. It has taken almost a month and a half for them to come repair of the damages after gave me the runaround. I do not recommend this company especially after going physically to their address to let them know that I needed the work done ASAP. The woman was very rude at first but when she realized who I was and I had been trying to contact them for weeks she tried to oblige me by giving me an appointment two weeks out. I must say that the inside of their building was pretty creepy as well. Very dark, with stairs leading up to a smoky cigarette filled office.

Replaced our roof about 10 years ago and we have had no problems since then. They did the re-roofing when we were getting solar panels installed. They took the old roof off, the panel posts were installed and then put the new roof on around the posts and sealed them. This meant that the 20 year warranty was not invalidated (which happens when cutting in to an existing roof to install solar panels.). The only reason for not giving 5 stars was the solar company and GRC roofing didn't coordinate particularly well and always went though me instead of communicating with each other directly, which was inconvenient when I was busy at work.

I had my main roof done about 9 months ago with another roofing company and was pleased with their work. A few months later, the roof of my extension under the deck failed as the rainy season arrived in November. Had said company come out and look at the problem which turned out to be another full replacement, no repair. They were not going to be working in the winter and suggested I plastic tarp over the problem until Spring. I called them in April and never heard back again. Guess we all know how a lot of contractors are just bad on communication. If I ran my business this way, I'd be out of a job.

I was referred to GRC from a Realtor friend who said they had always come through for him. I contacted them and communicated with Vernal who was easy to deal with after an initial communication stumble. He scheduled the estimator Gilbert in just 2 days, had the estimate the next day and the work started the following week. I watched them install the entire day and saw that they were very concientious with a more challenging installation including French doors and insuring that the roofing material wrapped up and over the pan. As it was shelter in place, and physical distancing, I did not see how they had done the framing around the French door and was not how I would have done it so when Gilbert came to pick up the payment for work the following day, I showed him the French door trim and how they had cut the framing trim 12 inches and reapplied and asked him if he thought it was acceptable. He agreed with me it was not and the second day, a carpenter with the company came and took off the trim pieces and reappllied new trim to my satisfaction only charging for the material.

My point is that GRC wanted to make the job right and how I wanted it done without any problems and all good will. That's a sign of a good company and exactly how I would have responded as well.

We've had several quotes from roofers, and these guys came in at a great price and did it right. They carefully removed the decking and furniture from the roof deck, and then removed the old roof with a new one (vs just adding another layer on the old roof). All on relatively short notice and all within a single week, which was impressive.

At one point, they accidentally broke a hidden and poorly-placed external water pipe. They quickly shut off the main, and took full responsibility for it both with the onsite crew and then, that evening, a follow-up from the management team. That was great service. And within 24 hours, they got a plumber and fixed it.

This was all on the Filbert steps, not the easiest place to service because you have to climb 35 stairs to haul roofing in and out. They did everything well - city permits, parking permits, and above all - doing what they said they would.

The roof looks great, with lots of photos of the work. Oh, and the price was dramatically lower than another bid we got for doing it right, i.e. removing prior layers before putting on the new roof. They did it right for much less.

I will recommend them easily to all Yelpers and my friends.

We need waterproofing done on our home and our realtor, who we've known for a long time and trust, recommended GRC Roofing. I can't vouch for their work because they never actually did any. After executing a contract with us, they skipped out on us the first two dates that were scheduled, each time with an email the night before and a lame-sounding excuse. We then tried to schedule a third date. They proposed a date and I emailed them back that it wouldn't work, and proposed another. Didn't hear back from them until they showed up on the date I had said wouldn't. So we told them we didn't want them to work that day. Next thing I get an email from them saying essentially that they no longer wanted to work for customers as flaky as us. The tone of the email was more polite and professional, but that was the gist of it.

Maybe the problem is in their office staff rather than their workers, but I would never come near this company again. I understand that contractors often flake out on jobs because they are juggling different ones, but this was a humiliating experience I would not want to repeat.

GRC roofing was initially known as Grace roofing, but they changed their name since the company incorporated. I used them based on the recommendations from my building inspector, yelp and finally selected them after interviewing 4 roofing companies. Their estimator was also a roofing inspector and gave me detailed quotes. Their pricing was about the middle of the pack. Their crew was professional and efficient, cleaned up after themselves every day, and kept me posted every step of the way. Ivan, the foreman actually came back on a Saturday and put a missing cap on one of my vents, even though it was his day off. Will highly recommend GRC to anyone who is looking for a roofer
