It's very unfortunate I have to write this review. I even gave them another chance to reply to a text before this post.

Max and his team redid our roof in summer 2023. We have solar panels that needed to be removed to redo that large section of the roof. We found a company to handle that part and Max and his crew got the roof done within a few days. Before the panels were put back up, my husband and the solar company installer noticed the roof wasn't flat and had some waves in it. My husband told the roofer what he saw and the project manager for the roofer (not Max, who didn't return after the original consultation) said it was fine and normal. Solar panels were put back on and the next rainy season (fall 2023) we had a leak where one of the panels connects to the roof. We began the process of figuring out what was happening by contacting the solar company. The solar company sent out a roofer who instantly said the leak could be repaired but the issue is the waves in the roof that will likely lead to more leaks and issues over the 20+ year life of the roof.

Bottom line is after several months of no-shows for appointments and unreturned calls and texts (which he denies), Max got back to us to discuss this in person. He wants us to now pay $7,000 to remove the panels and shingles and redo the plywood underneath. Considering that they took the roof down to plywood during the original project, and had a clear view of the issue at that point - of the existing and potential problems, this should have been brought to our attention at that point. They should have recommended that we replace the plywood (which we obviously would have paid extra to do) so the roof would have been done correctly from the start. At no point should we, the home owners, be expected to go on the roof to assess the state of the plywood and tell the professionals what needs to be done (which is what Max is implying now). To say that this is in any way our fault is unprofessional and irresponsible from someone that we paid tens of thousands of dollars to. We paid for a job and it wasn't done. Simple enough.

We're facing another rainy season with possibly more leaks and no real solution, and a lifetime with an ugly roof... unless we pay thousands more to fix it. Considering the original project was over $25,000 and guaranteed with a warranty, we're at a loss as to what to do. We were told we'd have a new, attractive, non leaky roof and unfortunately now we don't. I had already recommended this company to friends before this happened and now I can no longer do this. Hoping others avoid this issue in the future.

They came out to check for a leak and discovered it didn't have to do with the roof tile. Gave me photos of the actual issue, did *not* charge me for the diagnostic. Will 100% hire them should I ever have a roof issue.

Golden Coast Roofing replaced the flat roof on my industrial building in Sun Valley, CA. The building had 2 layers of old torch-down and hot-mop. The project was a complete tear-off, with a new Polyfresko torch-down cap sheet over its Elastoflex underlayment.

I am very happy with choosing this company, after meeting with several good roofing contractors and considering other roofing materials. Golden Coast specializes in Polyfresko for flat roofs, and their crew is very experienced with this material system.

The final ""cool roof"" looks very bright white. The roof is cleaner too, since the project included removing many old roof penetrations no longer needed. I had previously cut these pipes and vents below the roof, so they could be pulled straight up and out during the tear-off.

The project was quoted and coordinated mostly by Levi, who is a good communicator and willing to hear and address any concerns. The owner Max visited several times, including a walk-through before starting work. I was reassured that minor cost variations would not result in (annoying) extra charges for plywood, rafters, hangers, sheet metal, etc.

The crew of workers were dedicated and hard-working, under the steady and experienced supervision of foreman Jose. They worked well together, and completed the job on schedule: 2 weeks overall, including inspections.

I highly recommend this company for any industrial or commercial roofing project.

Purchased our home 24 years ago and have no idea when the existing shingle roof was last replaced....however although we survived last years storms unscathed i wanted to replace our ageing shingle roof now
Approached 3 companies for quotes and the first one was the cheapest but turned up without a ladder and wanted to borrow one from me !!!!....also their quote had provision for many extra's once they started the work...seemed very bait and switch to me.
Yogi , from Golden Coast was entirely different, ( he had 2 ladders and a drone with him) .He took his time to fully examine the roof, explained my options, made sensible proposals and took his time to not only answer my questions but also guaranteed his price with no extra's......I had found my roofer and when the 3rd company called to change their appointment i knew i had made the right decision
The roofing crew were on time, worked hard, cleaned up each night and completed the entire project within the agreed timeframe.....Yogi was on site each day , to check the progress and explain to me what was happening and why.......I could ask for nothing more
Consider this, I was happy to pay the agreed cost, with no alterations and this has not been my previous experiences with Ca contractors. If you are looking to replace your roof i strongly recommend Golden Coast Roofing as you will not be disappointed

Putting on a new roof seems like an easy decision but it's not! There's so much to think of as far as shingles,color,look,price etc! I got 5 bids and they were from $21k-$40k crazy to see such a difference in price when they were all doing the same job! I decided to go with Golden Coast as they answered all my questions thoroughly and price was great! Max who i think is the owner was easy to deal with and a pleasure to do business with,my roof looks amazing! Roof was installed a few days ago and I've already had 2 people knock on my door and ask who did it! Go with Golden coast you will not be disappointed. Came back to edit review i forgot to mention Daniel who was the project manager, extremely professional and helpful!!!!

Daniel, our Project Manager, was amazing. he was always timely with replying and havng his team showing up on time. They did a very professional job. If I have another roof issue I will only use his team. I could not give a higher recommendation. After interviewing 3 other roofing companies this was the best value for us.
