The finished roof is so stunning and eyecatching that people in the neighborhood and passersby stop and marvel at how attractive the new roof looks. Called Gold Key after finding a soft spot at the base of a roof seam. They provided a competitive quote and explained everything well. After doing the fix there was some leaking and they came out very promptly to fix it, including doing some additional work they didn't charge me for. I'll start my review by saying that everything you're reading here is backed by emails,pictures, lawyer letter, and I will gladly invite whoever is thinking hiring this people. We bought our house 6 years ago and a new roof was part of the deal so the previous owner would have to replace the old roof, a few options were given to us ( we told the homeowner we wanted to go with a known company) so we decided to go with GOLD KEY ROOFING, talk about a bad decision. As first tome owners we couldn't be happier to a house with everything in good shape, and with the new roof, we thought we were fine for the next 15/20 years. This house served us in a way I can't explain, we were blessed and still. Last year I was having a beer in my front porch and I looked up to the outside ceiling and saw this rotten, moldy spot and called the company right away, talked to Jessica on the phone and asked to to get someone to inspect our roof and get it fixed, she told us to not worry about it they would fix it whatever was wrong and replaced what was rotten. I was satisfied with what I heard and made an appointment for someone to meet me so I could be home when he came, in between I started looking around the house and I found so many bad, soft spots and that got me worried. The first appointment was set for 3pm and they sent a guy who called my wife(not me) and said there was nothing wrong with the roof, so I called Jessica and asked why someone came around 10am when the appointment was at 3pm, she said everything was going to be solved and she transferred to Shawn, again nice and polite guy, I told him about all the spots I've found and I told him I wouldn't like to have a 5 years old roof all patched up, so he told me: Ricardo we'll fix it whatever it takes, do not worry. So I made another appointment for someone to come and look at it while I was home, he set the appointment for 2:30 pm, I left work early that day and got home by 1:30 pm, guess what, they were finishing the repair( only one) no need to say that I was very upset for their "" timing"" so I told the guy to stop whatever he was doing it because that wasn't what I arranged with Shawn, I've showed so many more spots and the guy told me that it was an old house?! so I should be ok with, it is what it is, he said..called the company again and the nice Jessica was irritated, rude and sid she was calling me back and HANG UP ON ME! 1 hour after I got an email from her stating that they wouldn't do any other repairs because our warranty( for a total replacement) was expired by 5 months! then I called again and tried to reach someone up who could answer to our needs, so they transferred the phone to Jeff( I was told he was the owner) and he was listening to all my complaints and he asked me what did I want to happen, I told I wanted my roof replaced! he said I should have gotten the 10 year warranty so I would be covered! I was so surprised that a big company would act like that, then he asked me: anything I can do for you? again I was shocked and asked him: Are we going to have to hire a lawyer? and here's the answer: A GOOD ONE! We hired a lawyer and he sent a letter to GOLD KEY and after the lawyer told us the contract was made with the previous owner so we would not be able at the end(years) we would win but the lawyer office's expenses weren't going
to be paid by the defendant, so we would have to pay out of pocket. Last but not least, the only repair they made was leaking again and the rotten wood was covered by pine wood still here to be seen by anyone interested. Again the words above are all backed up by pics, emails, lawyer's letter. It's not about the money anymore, I just want to make sure people don't go through what we had to, if we weren't lucky to not have issues with this company I think being a reputable company should've stand by their work and not mistreating costumers. Do your research and feel free to contact me with any questions, I have everything filed. One of our biggest mistakes was having GOLD KEY ROOFING do our roof. We're still saving to repair our roof properly and praying to not get a hurricane in our path. God bless you all and I'm sorry for the long review.

Highly recommend this family owned company. They were a pleasure to work with and responsive when I needed updates on the status of the job and insurance claim. I am pleased with the overall reroof and some extra carpentry work needed as part of the job. Would certainly work with them again and refer to others.

I had a roof leak from a rain that lasted about 28 hours. A couple days after I saw the roof leak I heard Gold Key Roofing's radio advertisement. They said honest, hard working, fair.

I have to say they are NOT people that I ever want to do business with and I strongly suggest you stay away from them yourself.

I contacted them using their website online form that I filled out AND also I sent an email to them. Both times I described my issue in detail, gave them my telephone number, street address and how I am 6 miles west of a specific theme park (that I provided them), and I am real close to a specific major intersection (that I provided them).

I made the appointment for Thursday morning non-specific time, but it was supposed to be before my insurance claim adjuster was going to come out at 11:30am so I would have Gold Key Roofing details of the roof leak BEFORE I meet the claim adjuster.

At 9:33am I texted the roofer details of which way my house faces, the color of it, etc. He confirmed he was still coming out. My insurance claims person came and did their work, but the roofer never showed up, so at 12:15pm I texted him and only at that time did he say he is NOT going to come out because it is out of their service area.

This upset me because they knew my street address before I made the appointment, they also knew how far it was away from an central Florida large theme park, and also which major intersection I was at. So they should NOT have made the appointment. I could have gotten another roofer here instead.

It is was dry today, but rained yesterday, and will rain the next few days, so it was a PERFECT day to go onto the roof. What a waste. I believe they are pretty stupid to make the appointment and just not show up. HE DID NOT contact me when he was a couple hours late, I texted him at 12:15pm and only then did he say he was NOT going to show up.

If I never texted him, would he just not show up and never let me know?

Well, now two years into our re-roofing project by Gold Key Roofing. Went through the hurricane last fall with NO damages. Feeling really good about their work! Garranteed for 10 years so will keep updating as we go through the years. Thank you again Gold Key Roofing.

Gold Key Roofing was sent to inspect my roof after Hurricane Irma in 2017. Jeff H came out and said my roof was fine. I told him I had water stains on my ceilings. ""Nope, its fine"". He would not look at the interior damage.
Subsequent inspections by roofers (3) said the roof is not repairable. One roofer that was viewing my home from the street said ""I can see all the shingles have been lifted"".
Unfortunately the insurance company believed Jeff H. So it took a number of months and significantly more damage to my home from the leaking roof before the insurance company would believe me. 10 months later and I am still waiting for an offer from the insurance company thanks to the bad information given them by Gold Key Roofing.
Proceed with extreme caution !
