Outstanding company and crew. Gold Country Roofing completed the roof on our home plus 3 sheds and they did it in 3 days. The crew arrived on time as promised and began working right away. We had a few additional requests and they were accommodating offering suggestions. I was concerned about our gutter toppers as they were installed a couple of years ago and we have an electric awning cover that is bolted to the roof. The crew removed them and replaced them without an issue. All their work looks fantastic. The property was left in clean condition each day and the office staff was excellent in answering my questions regarding permit requirements. I highly recommend this company.

We can attest to the professionalism and skill of all the crew of Gold Country Roofing. Workers arrived in the morning to remove older materials, which was done in an efficient and joyous mood. (A happy crew is a good crew)
This job was finished early in the afternoon along with a protective covering put down just in case of a turn in weather. Next day the guys were out to install the new roofing which fantastically was accomplished by noon! So, this whole job was started and finished in one day and half including new drain gutters and roof vents. All debris was cleaned up and one wouldn't know the job had just been done. As it turned out, the following day it rained quite heavily, however we were happily secure under our new roof. We certainly recommend this firm to give complete satisfaction supplying a new roof.

It was great to work with Gold Country Roofing, from the quote/proposal thru the installation. Gold Country was flexibke and coordinated with solar company. They took a 3day job and did a great job to condense into 2 days to beat the Atmospheric River the next day. My yard was cleaned and ready for rain and no leaks.

Very professional experienced crew. Did a great job we have 11 skylights and they redid all of the flashing. Also repaired roof sheathing.
Removed and put back on all of our gutter screens to code. Cleaned the job site every day. They had the best pricing of 3 bids and came highly recommended by several of our friends that had used their services. We really did our homework and obtained 5 bids before selecting Gold Country Roofing to replace our 25 year old roof. First, we were told to make sure to get a roofing contractor with more than 20 years experience which made sense. Gold Country roofing was not the cheapest but Ben was the most professional of all of them all and explained in detail what we needed and why. We decided on them. The crew was amazing. They operated like a well oiled machine. Everyone knew what to do and how to do it. Everyone was polite and accommodating. I asked for a couple of minor things to be added and they did so with a smile. The roof was done in three days as they predicted and they cleaned up everything before they left. The roof looked great. But something was different and I could not put my finger on it at first. It looked better somehow. Then I realized, they painted the vents to match the roof! I did not ask for that but they wanted it to look right. I am very glad I did not go for the cheapest experienced bidder. These people, from the friendly office staff to the actual workers are absolutely top rate. I am recommending them to my neighbors. This is how every company should be run!

We just had a new roof installed by Gold Country Roofing. We chose this business because we watched our next door neighbor's roof go on by the same company. These guys are amazing! In two days, we had a new roof! One day to remove the old one, one day to install the new one. The whole crew were friendly, considerate and clean. Before they left the first day, the yard and driveway was cleaned up and free of nails/debris. Same the second day. No messes anywhere. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat. New to Grass Valley in November 2017, I learned from my pre-purchase Property Inspector, that my roof was in bad shape with less than a year at most before complete failure. I also began to explore panel solar solutions. I started searching YELP and found several contractors for both a roof and solar. This effort developed into several Contractor site inspections, bid proposals and a discussion of an integrated installation plan.

As a past Project Manager, I wanted fair and independent competitive bid(s) that provided the best in rooftop roof leakage protection and solar efficiency and design. I wanted no restriction on who I picked for each dicipline. I wanted full workmanship and materials guarantee from both suppliers.

Stan Smith, Shannon Gassaway and the Gold Country Roofing team always emailed or answered every phone call or question I had. Stan Smith met with my Solar Company Designer to learn about the Solar Design and new Solar Rail standoffs/flashings. Carlos from Gold Country Roof worked with the Solar Company Operations Manager to insure a coordinated watertight roof as the new Solar Panel Frame Standoffs were positioned and attached. Carlos acted as a lead installer for Gold Country Roofing and managed the job site.

Each day, the Gold Country Roofing team arrived on-time and cleaned up the work area as if it was their own home!! All debris was hauled away by Gold Country They performed the work with a smile and a kind word to me as we installed.

It's hard to overstate how good this company is. I saw them doing my neighbor's roof and knew I'd be needing a roof soon, so they were one of four companies I had to come and giive an estimate. Their presentation was best and their price the lowest. But that was nothing compared to the diligence and energy of the workers; they swarmed like bees over the roof, covered undone areas when confronted with an unexpected rain storm, and returned to finish on a Sunday (after asking me if that was OK!) Just had our 25+ year old roof replaced by Gold Country. We initially contacted a repair person who told us we were on borrowed time with our old roof. This led to contacting 3 local companies for quotes.
First company: Came by, walked on our roof. Discussed the work they would do and gave us a verbal quote and said he would email an estimate by the following Monday. We never heard back.
Second company: Came by, walked the roof. Discussed their work and what we needed. Mentioned they outsource the tear off to an outside company. Then told us they would have an estimate in about a week. 10 days went by, he called with an estimate. 15 days went by and we got one in the mail.
Gold Country: Stan came by. Walked the roof, discussed our situation in great detail. From skylights to gutters, warranty on a 50 year shingle, how they do their vents, etc. Lots of details and he had answers for all of our questions. Left us with a big packet of information too. We felt confident in his company but expected a very high quote due to the ""extras"". We received Stan's quote later that afternoon.
All the estimates were within $500 of each other. Gold Country's included the most new stuff, (gutter covers, new sky light boxes, replacing seals around pipes, a 50 year shingle that no one else mentioned or offered too)
We decided to go with Gold Country. Given it was still winter, we had to play close attention to weather. They need one day to tear off the current roof and lay down their water proof material. That day came and just as expected, his crew showed up and worked quickly to take off our old roof. At the end of the day, everything was cleaned up and back to normal. The following morning, his crew was back. The roof was completed by mid day and our property showed no sign of a construction site. They literally cleaned up everything and took the time to use a leaf blower to do a final sweep.
The roof looks great. No leaks. Very happy with the results and highly recommend Gold Country for any roof replacement you might need.

So happy with Gold Country Roofing! We were hit with one winter storm after the next, causing some bad leaks. We were concerned with the cost of getting a new roof, so we had 5 bids from 5 local companies. Gold Country was the most thorough, well prepared, had a competitive bid, and were easy to deal with. All of their policies are well outlined on their webpage and contract. No surprises here! Any time I had a question, they were quick to get back to me and explain. Because I had a leak, they were able to get my roof on within a week of accepting their bid! The roof was done in 2 days. It was amazing. The workers were courteous and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great roof, with a guarantee, these guys can't be beat!
