I contacted Joey over a month before I needed work done to a house I was in escrow for. I told him when I'd have keys and when I'd need work done by. He accepted the job and assured me that the job could be completed.
Overall the work that was done looks great. However the amount of time and work I had to do to make sure things were done right made me feel like I was babysitting. There was a huge lack of communication, things were done wrong and I was told it ""wasn't a big deal"" and that they'd fix it but this caused delays. Doors cut wrong, electrical wiring that was done wrong, fans that he said were ordered weeks before and on the day of install his assistant called me asking if I had the ceiling fans when all along Joey had told me he had already bought them. My master shower still is not fixed, and he is now claiming that we never agreed to do it. He took my final payment and said the plumber would come 2 weeks ago to fix the shower. Now it's ""on his terms"". The painters left my AC panel on wrong and it fell off the wall leaving a gash in the wall and in the flooring.

The other company who installed my floors left the baseboards at the house a week early so Joey's guys could paint them. They never got painted so they had to be painted after install, taking more time. He said they ""aren't used to working with other companies"" and I told him it would be a good thing to learn to do, to network. I even gave the two guys each other's phone number but communication still clearly broke down.

One day the AC would not turn on so I had his AC guy come back and service the AC. Turns out his guys who were there the day before had turned the system off at the circuit breaker and didn't turn it back on. Again it was just made as ""no big deal"" by Joey.

I visited the house nearly every day to see the work being done. There was 4 days where no one even came to do any work. Then when the job was almost done Joey told me he had to pay his guys overtime to finish and claimed that they hadn't made any money on the job. If things had been done correctly, and communication was better I'm sure the job could've been done with no need for extra work and touch ups. It seems that better communication between Joey and the client and his team is definitely needed. Pricing was affordable for most things...but again I've paid in full and now he is not sending anyone to finish the plumbing issue.

I've posted some pictures. The final project looks great...but the issues and lack of communication to get to this point...wasn't worth it.

I can't say enough praises about my home project that Gold Coast solutions had recently done in my house. The transformation is like night and day.

They relocated my electrical panel & installed sliders between my kitchen & my family room. Joey, the manager, & his men did a remarkable & high quality job with excellent workmanship. The best part is Joey had accommodated a few little requests of mine outside the job proposal. All the workers were all craftsmen in their fields, clean & detail oriented & had fine solutions to unexpected minor problems. They were all easy to work with and treated me cordially & professionally. The proposal was written in a very professional manner which laid out all the specifications, legalities, payment schedule & the time frame required to finish the job. Joey was on top of things, always answered the phone, acknowledged & remedied all of my concerns. He came to visit the work done almost everyday. He is the easiest and most upbeat person to work with.
I have been talking, showing and highly recommending Gold Coast to all of my friends, family and neighbors. I will absolutely work with them again in my future projects.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!!! We hired Gold Cost to do our Kitchen remodel. Everything started out great and we felt we were happy with our choice. Then we started to notice that all kind of little issues started to happen. For example they didn't put an outlet behind the refrigerator after tearing out all the walls and putting them back together. We notified Gold Cost and they came and fixed the issue but it was strange that no one caught that. Then it happened again they forgot to run pipes for the faucet above the stove. Again we reached out and they came ripped up the walls and fixed the issue. Then again when doing the tiles they forgot the border on the backsplash. They also forgot the vent fan leading to the outside they had to come do this at a later date since they forgot when the walls were ripped up. This went on with several other items that they kept missing or forgetting. These items are the responsibility of the contractor and should have been taken care of before they became an issue. The job was supposed to take 6-8 week and it went on for well over 12 weeks. They caused all kinds of delays due to mis-managing the job and Gold Cost would never own that these items were delaying the job from being done. Do to the lack of experience from Gold Cost our project became a nightmare. We should have known there was issues when sub-contractors were taking poorly about Gold Cost Solutions and some even quitting during the project. I feel so bad for all the sub-contractors they all did really great work but Gold Cost made there lives so hard by not communicating or giving them the correct directions. Plus beware Gold Cost will never be on time or give a correct timeline or schedule of when work will be done. Gold Cost does what they want and does not care about the customer or my job at least. We were almost done with the job all we needed to do is the final punch list, get the permits/final city inspection and walk. Then I notice that Gold Cost sent me a notice that I owed the final payment and I sent a message to Gold Cost saying are we doing the punch and final walk. Gold Cost stated yes but the next day they sent what they said was a lawyer demanding the final payment. I asked for the credentials from this lawyer and they would not give them to me. I asked when we would have the final walk and they would not respond. They refused to talk to us. Then this ""FAKE LAWYER"" offered a very small discount saying they were done with the job. (not sure why they offered a discount unless they knew they were not done with the job). They are now treating to put a lien on my home and they will not communicate they us. Seems like they've used this bully act to get people to give them money so they can run and pull this on the next job. Please beware of the company they are full of fake promises and poor communication. Plus I found out they never pulled the proper permits from the city and they did not follow regulations as a contractor. They also have my home key and came into my home without my permission and they refused to give the key back. I had to change all my locks. I wish I would have never hired them and if you want to have a good experience do not use Gold Cost Solutions.

My husband and I were referred to Gold Coast Solutions by a family member who was familiar with their work. In March, we first met Joey, to discuss our vision of enlarging our downstairs kitchen and living areas, as well as adding storage compartments under our existing stairs. From the design phase to completion, he was heavily involved in making sure that our vision was captured and executed accurately. In addition, communication throughout the project was excellent. We had visual timelines, and if any clarification was needed, we would message or call Joey, and he would quickly respond. It's been 7 weeks since completion and we are still happy with the results.
