These guys did some work for me and I scheduled a follow up appointment. They never showed! I sent an email and they called me and said they would call me later that night to schedule. They never called! I sent another email asking if they were still interested in my business. They never responded! Proceed with caution!!

Hi have been using American home contractor in Maryland for over a year. I had used other company for few years but American Home contractors sending Marc Burkett he is great respectful, professional
and knows what he is doing. I am very happy he finds thing wrong with
my roof others did not he send me photo of what needs to be taking care of and before and after photos.
I am very happy and use this company and i eill ask for Marc.

Update to my previous review: After posting my initial review, I promptly received a call from the inspector, Bill who apologized for not updating me over the weekend and advised there were issues with obtaining the measurements of my roof. They sent me the quote that I had initially requested.

Just finished up with my roof repair. The service was excellent. Bill was very responsive, proactively calling me thought out the process from quote to completion. His employees have been with him for long time and do great work.

During the repair they discovered there was additional damage to some of the wood under the tile due to water seepage from the cracked tiles. So Bill sends me the new photos and lets me know what else needs to be done which was additional plywood, paper etc. I would not say it was an insignificant amount of work, but they did not charge me anything additional. Now that is customer service! I had also asked them to replace a piece of Fascia board on the front of the house. No problem and when they did the replacement it looked like there should be a piece of metal between the roof and the fascia board. This keeps rain from running into the wood and rotting. So he just did it at no cost. Granted, this was not a big deal, but it is the attention to detail that I really appreciate.

In any case, great experience with these guys. Will certainly use them if the need arises and offer any friends a recommendation.

We had their contact by our realtor. We were in contact with Bill Myers and he is a real Pro!!! Our house is now safe. Bill answered all our emails quickly, he planned the work in consideration of the weather, he showed us before/after pictures and did an outstanding work! I really recommend this company.

The customer service is great! They were fast an efficient in giving me an inspection and quote. The roofer was very knowledgeable and explained everything. I appreciate that they take photos and can show you what needs to be done. Will definitely refer to anyone I hear is in need of a roofer!

If I could give 0 stars to them I would . Don't waste money with them. They are horrible very unprofessional. We called several times and no answer . The guy cancelled our appoitment several times and when we called back he never picked up.He would lie to us and tell us we were going to be on the top of the list the next day. Then he would call and cancel again and say that we had to be the last ones. We would call the office with our house number and no answer. We got a fake number from the apple store and they answer right away. The lady would tell me she was going to transfer me and she would just hang up on me. TERRIBLE COMPANY RUN!!!! Oh and forgot to mention this is the second time they need to come and fix the SAME SPOT!

I had Bill Myers and his team look at my roof as a result of recent wind/rain event. I showed him the exact area that was damaged. He then offered to do a complete inspection of my roof. I figured that this would be the point that he would tell me I needed a new roof. To my surprise He didn't. He quoted me the price for the damage as I asked and showed me areas that I might want to fix later to extend the life of the roof. When its time for a new roof, you can be sure that I would have Bill back.

It is nice that you replied Martin, but you forget something important - if you cannot make it at a certain time then you don't schedule to be there at that time. Yes, you're busy. That doesn't matter. If a certain time doesn't work then you say ""sorry we are busy and cannot make it at that time."" You don't make the appointment with the intent to break the appointment.

That is not how one conducts business.

I would still like a real roof inspection, by someone who does more than drive by, and who when giving us a report does it in person instead of by phone, but your roofer Jim said that he won't come back. Perhaps you have someone else who can actually give us the inspection you promised? Your commercials do promise us a free roof inspection, and beyond a phone call by some guy who drove past our house we have no evidence that your company did what they advertise.

And if he cannot make it at a given time, then don't promise that he will be there and then break that promise. If you can't make it say so, and we can choose a different time. That way you can show up when you say you are going to show up.
