Following the loss of his family home in Crystal Beach, TX, due to Hurricane Ike in 2008 and a denied insurance claim, Gene's family relocated to Norcross to start anew. Gene earned a degree in Residential Construction Management and became a catastrophe adjuster, acquiring significant knowledge in construction and project management.

Inspired by his Hurricane Ike experience, Gene grew passionate about claims adjusting, recognizing its importance in aiding disaster victims. In 2012, Gene was sent to Superstorm Sandy as a catastrophe adjuster, where he met his business partner. In 2017, they launched Fifth Element Adjusting, combining their expertise to assist clients with navigating insurance claims and construction. Gene has consistently devoted his time and expertise to rebuilding homes and offering vital support to families, showcasing his unwavering dedication to community service.

More than a roofer, Gene is a passionate supporter of social responsibility and community engagement. As a proud Georgia alumnus, he represents Go Dawgs Roof Roof and strives to make a positive impact on others' lives.

His journey into community advocacy and engagement was influenced by personal hardships and a deep commitment to serving others. Growing up in the Atlanta area, Gene's experiences with natural disasters and his desire to help shaped his path.
