Following the loss of his family home in Crystal Beach, TX, due to Hurricane Ike in 2008 and a denied insurance claim, Gene's family relocated to Norcross to start anew. Pursuing a degree in Residential Construction Management, Gene became a catastrophe adjuster, amassing extensive experience in construction and project oversight.

Gene's experience with Hurricane Ike fueled his passion for claims adjusting, as he saw how crucial it is for supporting those affected by natural disasters. In 2012, Gene was sent to Superstorm Sandy as a catastrophe adjuster, where he met his business partner. Together, they founded Fifth Element Adjusting in 2017, using their skills to support clients with insurance claims and construction projects. Gene has consistently devoted his time and expertise to rebuilding homes and offering vital support to families, showcasing his unwavering dedication to community service.
