Following the loss of his family home in Crystal Beach, TX, due to Hurricane Ike in 2008 and a denied insurance claim, Gene's family relocated to Norcross to start anew. Pursuing a degree in Residential Construction Management, Gene became a catastrophe adjuster, amassing extensive experience in construction and project oversight.

Gene's experience with Hurricane Ike fueled his passion for claims adjusting, as he saw how crucial it is for supporting those affected by natural disasters. During the Superstorm Sandy deployment in 2012, Gene served as a catastrophe adjuster and met his business partner. In 2017, they launched Fifth Element Adjusting, combining their expertise to assist clients with navigating insurance claims and construction. Gene has consistently devoted his time and expertise to rebuilding homes and offering vital support to families, showcasing his unwavering dedication to community service.

Gene goes beyond being a roofer; he is a fervent advocate for social responsibility and community participation. As a Georgia alumnus, he takes pride in representing Go Dawgs Roof Roof and aims to positively influence the lives of others.
