GM-ET re-roofed about 1900 square feet of my roof in January of 2012. We initially thought we were doing about 500 fewer square feet, but as it turned out, a roofer who had supposedly re-roofed the other half of my house (which was leaking anew), never actually put ANY new paper down on the part of the roof that was leaking. Argh. So we had to add that portion to GM-ET's job.

I was referred to GM-ET through my designer, James Charles of Designer at Home who referred a contractor, who gave me some names of roofers...and I went with GM-ET.

Greg came out for the bid almost immediately. The bid was reasonable and included drip-edge (not something I knew about, but it makes all the difference), replacement of valleys and flashing, some replacement of primed and painted fascia boards where required and a ten year labor guarantee! You can't beat that - and it speaks to both the caliber of work and the man's belief in his work and his crew.

GM-ET is licensed (I checked), insured (I checked) and carries a workers comp policy (I totally checked since if someone missteps and falls off your roof, you want their employer and his insurance standing by them, you DO NOT want to be their only recourse!!)

Roofing day#1 came quickly and GM-ET had so many guys working that my roof looked like a busy factory! The crew was great! Nice guys. Greg explained that all his guys have been with him for a LONG time...some as long as eighteen years; a mark of a fair boss and a good businessman.

GM-ET was efficient! They were done in mere days, even including the added on portion of the roof we weren't expecting. Greg got up on the roof and took pictures to help me in my pursuit of legal action against the old roofer. My roof now looks better than ever! When they put it back together, somehow it just lays better. Around my house I could not find one piece of tile, nail or piece of paper or anything that they forgot to pick up. (Really important if you have little kids around.) They job site was as though they'd never been there...only cleaner!

A couple of my neighbors asked for Greg's card when he was onsite. Many more have asked me for his name and are still raving about the job GM-ET did. They were watching, because it's time for them to roof too! They said the crew was great, the materials were amazing (some of my neighbors are in construction) and that they've never seen a more professional roofing crew. This is the first thing I have ever Yelped about, but it was such a positive experience, I knew I should. Do not hesitate to call Greg McDonald and GM-ET Roofing Removal & Construction!!
