I had a major roof leak that caused the guest bedroom ceiling to collapse. I had several quotes & Gio roofing came in at same cost as one other company. (Had one quote much higher, and some lower quotes but those did not seem credible companies). Went with Tony's quote from Gio Roofing inc because he seemed genuine and went into the attic took photos of everything inside and out and reviewed these with me. They also took on working with PPA Solar company to get the panels taken on and off my roof - they were the only company that offered to do this which I greatly appreciate. The team were always professional, cleaned up every day after finishing. Project ran timely. They tarped the roof when not working. We did have to add a second layer of plywood due to unforeseen damage once original shingle came off. They replaced facia board on front eves and painted it. They installed more facia board than they said they would and did this at no additional cost. When they repaired the internal damage the painting team even matched the custom wall paint! Finally they also pressure washed my drive way which was also not expected, which was lovely.
I would recommend Gio roofing and Tony's team to anyone looking to replace their roof! Thank you Gio Roofing inc, my new roof also looks fantastic!!!

Tony and his team did a wonderful job installing a brand new roof and redoing the attic insulation. Out of 5 roofing companies, Tony was the only one that climbed into my dusty attic to check beneath the roof. He gave me a reasonable price but did an exceptional job. We had an old tile roof (25-years) that was in a decent condition (no leaks, but had been repaired). The recent winds and rains in LA loosened several tiles and given our upcoming solar panel install, we decided it was time to get our roof re-roofed for the future.

We went to Yelp's ""get a quote"" feature and received several quotes. Only two roofers got back to us. Both eventually came out for a walkthrough and proposal but Tony's attention to detail and customer service really caught our attention.

After a thorough discussion, we ended up going with an attic clean, tile roof demolition, new underlayment, and new shingles for our approx 3,000 sq. ft. roof.

Attic cleaning:
Our attic is approx 1,700 sq. ft with blown in insulation and a nasty rat infestation. During the roof replacement process, they vacuumed out all the old insulation, rat-proofed all openings, sanitized and laid new roll insulation for our entire attic all in one day.

Re-roof:
The company covers replacing 10% of rotting plywood for free but the roofers discovered we had a lot more damaged plywood once they uncovered everything. The cost of the extra plywood was reasonable and they even included replacing some extra beams for free (they were rotted due to termite damage). They went above and beyond our expectations without coming back to us for more money on the extra work.

Permit & inspection:
GIO handled all aspects of the permitting and inspection process (passed both inspections on the first try).

Customer service:
Tony B was very prompt and courteous during the negotiation process. All his workers were also very professional and cleaned up after themselves every day. Tony kept us up to date throughout the process and informed us of each stage of the re-roof progress.

Due to the consecutive rainstorms occurring in Los Angeles, our roof had leaking in multiple spots and our ceiling caved entirely in my room. We called Gio roofing for a consultation and Tony come for initial consultation for assessment. We had had a friend who was a handyman redo our entire roofing 11 years ago, so our initial thought was to just fix the leaks but once we got up to the roof, he notified us that the asphalt shingles we thought were new were pretty much on their last leg (super unfortunate), and the flashing around sun roof and other areas were not replaced and that the air vents were not placed correctly, and that he wouldn't recommend spot treating the roof and would recommend a complete roof replacement. Moral of the story here is to definitely go with a licensed roofing company who does a good job instead of cutting costs and hiring a friend or a handyman who clearly doesn't know what they are doing. Lol Our initial cost was 24k but after demolition, we found out the planks that our precious handyman placed would also not pass the city inspection, so it overall cost around 30k total. We chose Gio roofing due to their early start date (though this was pushed back due to unexpected torrential rain) and we liked Tony. I had received a consultation from another company but they were incredibly rude, so appreciated this company's professionalism.

Once we got started, What we really liked was the responsiveness of Tony. I texted him whenever we had leaking (even before the ground work began, we had the tarp placed and it blew off, he had someone come and fix it immediately). They got to the Underlayment quickly before the next rainstorm came before but there were occasionally leaks in the Underlayment (usually there is an Underlayment then shingles for double protection). When I texted Tony, he got out his men at 9pm at night (the rain happened at night) and the leak was immediately stopped. Through every step he was transparent and I really appreciated that. We also had the ugliest vents that are now replaced by some pretty sleek ones. They also placed some extra gutters from for no extra cost after the entire roof was done. They were knowledgeable and I would definitely hire them again for another property.

Just remember once consultation appointment is made, the office will call you on the DAY OF to confirm the time of appointment. If you do not answer the call, they will not send out their staff to you. Technically is a waste of their time if the person who consulted forgot and isn't at their house, which is fair.

I'm rating them even though it turned out the problem I have (moving roof vent) requires an HVAC person to even find out if it feasible so I haven't engaged them to go anything yet.

Jack came out during the planed window of time. He had texted me to expect him to be near the end of the window. He was very cheerful and didn't let my little barking dogs bother him.

To investigate the purpose of the vent he went up into my attic via two different hatches. After he determined it was not easily movable he investigated a lower profile cap but didn't find one. A short but positive and enthusiastic visit with a cheerful person.

Scheduled water leak repair, from top of garage on 3/31/2023 at 1:00 PM. Gio reschedule it for 2:00 PM instead of 1:00. A lady from Gio called me in the morning telling me minimum repair cost is $1,500, I OK'd it.
I waited for them till 6:00 PM, but no show.
Tell me if Gio deserve a rating more than one star.
