This company is utterly disorganized. Bill came over on Oct 1 to give us an estimate and told us they would be able to get the work done in one month. That was fine. We received the estimate timely but trying to schedule the work was a nightmare. They had claimed they did not received the signed contract we emailed them, so I emailed it again. They then said they would get back to us in the next 2 days, but we never heard from them. I called again and they still couldn't schedule claiming they had to have their scheduling meeting which is what they had told me was to happen 2 days ago. By now it was Oct 19 and I had been trying to schedule unsuccessfully for a whole week. I decided to drop them. I don't have the time to beg them to do the work. I called to ask to cancel the job because of their non-responsiveness and the guy on the phone was the rudest I encountered. He basically hung up on me with the last words: ""You know what? I am canceling YOU"".

We researched several roofing companies when it came time to replace the roof on our business. General Roofing was not the lowest bid, but it was the most complete and comprehensive plan. They quoted us a two week turnaround on the job and they met that deadline even when we added an entire other job to the proposed roofing plan. Our roof was not the easiest in the world either. We have two buildings that meet in the back and have been joined with stairs and deck to get from one place to the other. The guys at General Roofing met each challenge and surpassed our expectations. In the end we were very happy and the experience was as painless as you could hope for. Special thanks to Mike Rodriguez who had to make several trips back and forth for the bidding and execution of the job.

As the President of a HOA (30, two -story units) I have to be extremely careful and prudent when picking out contractors to do work at our condo complex. We needed a new roof for the 30 unit complex and after careful comparison of price, service record, etc. picked General Roofing. This proved to be an excellent choice. Their rep/estimator Bill was thorough down to the smallest detail of the project. He came by to check on the progress many times over a two week period. His crews were on time every day and completely cleaned up all work areas before finishing their day's work. This job was many thousands of dollars and they came in right on budget as well as finishing nearly a week ahead of schedule.
We will not need them for another thirty years but I can highly recommend General Roofing to any household or large condo complex that is looking for a qualified and highly professional job done right! When calling, I would ask for Bill since he was an exceptional representative of this quality company and made my job very easy!!!!

Where is the 6 star button? Bill is excellent to work with and his team is just as stellar. They replaced all my gutters and downspouts. I had a lot of wood rot and they replaced it all. The price was more than fair. I found them on Angie's List and I will give them the thumbs up thee as well. Great Job Team!

My home was built in 1927 and it has a 250 sq. ft. sun deck on the second floor that is above a living area. Last winter it developed a leak and the covering needed replacement. As a result of previous patching jobs, there were 3 layers of material to remove. I obtained 3 bids and felt that General Roofing gave the best price and the best solution for the repair. The job took 1 1/2 days, they were on time and cleaned up perfectly at day's end. The finish work was beautifully done with a couple of extra touches that was more than I expected.

Last year, I had a roof that leaked & we could not find where it was coming from. We had new siding put up so we thought maybe it was that. The leak was difficult to find but General Roofing's Michael Wakerling, stayed with it until we finally found it. He put on a new roof and we've had no problems ever since. They were very patient and professional as we tried to figure out where the leak was. I highly recommend them and was pleased with the roof and their expertise.

I tend to use yelp for restaurants and nail salons, but I need to give credit where credit is due. These guys made an intimidating job simple, fast and worry free. As someone who never thought she would need to call for a roof job, I was completely new to the process and super stressed out. But these guys explained everything to me, guided me through the process start to finish, even educated me on the materials they used. I never felt pressured, which was a change from the 2 other companies I called. The price was competitive and they worked with my crazy schedule.

The staff was professional and more than that, kind and patient. Which is rare for any kind of construction company these days.

I will probably not have to use them again because they did such a nice job but I will recommended them to family friends and anyone in need of new roofing or roof repairs.

General Roofing has been around for a long time and you don't earn that type of longevity without knowing what you're doing and without taking good care of your clients. I've seen their work and am impressed with both the quality and the care given to their clients.

This company quoted my roof job at nearly 30k which was laughably more than DOUBLE what every other company quoted. I was a bit insulted by that, because it came off as a ""sucker's quote,"" but I followed up with them asking to explain the price disparity. I was hoping some kind of mistake was made. They never bothered to reply back or follow up with me at all. I wouldn't do business with them.

As a neighbor to someone who hired General Roofing, I can safely say you do not want this group in your neighborhood. For several days thay have been using a material that alternately smelled like gasoline, kerosene, and paint thinner. It caused illness in our office across the street, as people with asthma had attacks due to the odors. When we called the company to ask what could be done, the person who answered the phone said ""nothing"" and informed us that no one has ever complained before. So take it from me, if your neighbors are looking for a new roof, steer them away from this inconsiderate, and uncooperative bunch.
