Let me preface this by saying that I generally don't write reviews. By creating this account for the sole purpose of doing so, I hope this shows how strongly I feel about my experience with General Roofing.

After getting several bids for a full re-roof of our home, we decided to go with General Roofing due to their years of experience and competitive pricing. We had several questions regarding the process, and the owners were patient and extremely knowledgeable. Both Chad and Sandra communicated with us promptly and professionally. We always knew what was going on during the entire process, courtesy of their check-ins. They made everything as seamless and painless as possible for us.

The crew that worked on our home was also stellar. They were quick and efficient, and the roof looks amazing. No materials were left behind, as they had meticulously cleaned the area. They were nice enough to clear out some gunk we had in our gutters while they were up there, too. In addition to all that, we happen to have two satellite dishes on our home they had to work around. They were able to disconnect and then reattach them to our home with ease. We didn't even need to have a technician come out to recalibrate the dishes, they were THAT GOOD. What more can one ask for?

Long story short, I highly recommend their services. Thank you, General Roofing!

General roofing was 1 of 3 bids, they were the middle bid. I decided to go with them bc they were the most knowledgeable and have been in business for decades. They have experienced workers that stayed on the job from start to finish and they were professional,courteous and knowledgeable.They use the latest and greatest materials availible. They are very neat and they removed debris daily. The roof looks great and i would highly recommend them for your home.

We recommended General Roofing to an elderly couple with a leaking roof. The couple had contacted another local company, and was told the entire roof would need to be replaced after only a brief inspection. General Roofing did a complete and thorough inspection and identified the leak as a result of an ""ice damn"" issue. They cleared the roof of snow and ice and repaired the leak. A complete roof replacement was NOT required.

General Roofing was professional, took the time needed to explain the ""what's and why's"" to our friends, and was able to complete the work quickly AND save them literally thousands of dollars.

I hired General Roofing in October, 2012 to repair my residential roof and paid a 50% deposit. They committed to get it done by mid-November but slipped the job week after week until Christmas week when it was snowing hard. They said they could probably do it but acknowledged it wasn't best conditions. We agreed to hold off until March and I would be their priority. March passed, April, May, June, all with numerous excuses as to why they couldn't get to the job. Finally got to it the last couple days of July and finished in August, 2013. They'll give you a good quote, but don't believe it, they will get plenty of extra out of you. Once they have your deposit, there's no sense of urgency to meet you needs and live up to their proposed schedule. There are plenty of other roofing contractors in Anchorage; move on to the next!
