Gary Fox Roofing is such an amazing company. I am a Realtor and he has helped on several of the homes I have sold for my buyers and sellers and on my PERSONAL Residence. He is extremely professional, very quick with an amazing turnaround time and is an honest and fair business person with great prices. He has saved me and my clients a lot of money and time. I highly recommend Gary Fox Roofing. Truly an amazing company and person. Thank you for all that you guys do! I will be using y'all again!

Gary--In response to your comment, I understand your perspective and just wish you would respect mine and those of all the customers on here who have also provided negative reviews. This is not personal and based purely on my experience with your company and how everything was handled. Per your statement about ripping out my roof to show the work done, please do not show up at my house or on my property. I will report that accordingly if it happens.


I bought a house a couple years ago and the real estate agent recommended this guy. He was supposed to come out and do work but we were home all day and are pretty confident his crew never showed. He billed us over $1,000 nonetheless. I followed up with emails after the fact and he insisted the work was done but had no evidence and was pretty shady about everything.

So I gave him a bad review. He then SHOWED UP AT MY DOOR asking me to take down the review. He showed me some pictures on his phone as ""evidence"" that his team did the work, but I couldn't even tell if the pictures related to my house, and they were probably from his initial consultation if they were even for my house. In any event I felt bad and took down the review.

I've kept my eye on his reviews since then and seen many others with nearly identical experiences where they don't think the work was actually done. I've also seen the absurd responses from Mr. Fox where he blames all the customers, who all just happen to be having nearly identical issues. I feel I have to speak up to warnEven if he did do the work, the way he handled it was really not professional, and I have zero confidence that my roof was properly fixed or inspected.

My main warning would be to the real estate agents who recommend this guy. We had an otherwise good agent but this was the one blemish on the experience with her. For the agents, it's not worth the reputational harm for whatever slight share of the proceeds you might get from him.

GFR please do not approach me again, particularly on my property, or I will go to Yelp about the tactics, which could threaten your ability to even stay on the platform. I think this is a fair review given the circumstances, and as I said it's borne out by the experiences of many others.

The bad reviews are true. No show most of the time, doesn't do the work discussed something as simple as cleaning rain gutters. We had them replace a few shingles on our roof, who knows know if the work was done. Maybe they should take before and after pictures of every job to show clients the work was done. Our realtor recommended them, we will never use them again. Plus I see all the responses from Gary him self on here, wow!

Do not use Gary Fox. You'll save stress, time, and money.
Gary Fox is disorganized, customer service is contracted and useless, does not help as they cannot schedule the work or give any update. They are disrespectful and does not care about the customers as they are contracted by Gary Fox.
Gary Fox only operates via his cell phone, being told by his contracted office that he is the only one to schedule the work, but has a full voicemail box most of the time and does not return the calls anyway.
I had a quote from the roof inspection in July and totally lied to me several times since. He rescheduled without notice too many times. Check all other reviews where Gary Fox spends time to argue and respond to unhappy customers like me instead of spending all their energy to call and please their customers directly.
They were not honest, charged for the entire work while none of it was done (and with clear evidence provided on pictures), released the invoice for me to pay and then started to lie, came back on the roof the reinstall my old skylight with ducktape and never performed the job to date with no news. I have recorded evidence and seriously thinking of filling a claim. They deserve it. I gave up after being poorly treated over the phone and I strongly recommend you don't waste your time and go with much more professional options out there. I got the job done in 4 weeks elsewhere with great customer care instead.

Real Estate Agent here, I needed a roofer ASAP and Gary was there to answer all of our questions and fixed our ridge line :) PLUS it wasn't insanely expensive. I feel like the price was very fair.

In my experience: Gary Fox is extremely rude, dismissive, unprofessional, argumentative, and verbally abusive (Espeically with women). Gary Fox kept telling me he would come fix his mistake with my continued leaking roof, but never followed through. He kept saying oh I will make it right--I am just a single dad, going through a divorce, etc etc. Excuse after excuse, but he never kept his word.

I think people with roofing issues from his phony repairs are better off just going through his bond company so that the bond company can appoint someone to assess/investigate his poor workmanship and then the affected party can subsequently purse a qualified roofer to fix his mistakes (versus having to deal with him). I think this is what will have to be my next step.
