Like with any contractor who's good at what they do, we had to wait to get our roofing job done after a major off-season rain storm, but it was worth it. It was great dealing with real professionals who get the job done RIGHT the first time. Tom's estimator and crew tactfully isolated and corrected errors of a prior roofer between two subsequent rain storms. The roofers at Garvey Roofing are 5-star PRO'S!

These guys are so nice. I am talking about Nico and Tom. I had a small issue on my roof and they fixed it. They even helped me with something unrelated to the job, but also on the roof, for free. My only complaint is that their working crew is way too busy and from signing the contract to them actually coming out to do the fix took a long time. However, I can't blame them all that much because rain just kept on coming. If you are patient, then I'd say they are worth the wait. I always called Nico for status. He would always keep me in the know, even when some weeks there were no projections on when they could come out. At the end, Nico pulled through and I have a piece of mind about my roof.

Gave an estimate for 2 hours and disappeared afterwards. Does not follow through with the work as promised, and failed to communicate to keep me updated with further action. Waste of time, unreliable, and very unprofessional.

I have used Garvey Roofing in recent months for three comparatively small jobs, but perhaps more noteworthy, at this time I am setting up with them for yet a fourth job, and this one involves a known leak ... I can look at the roof in the attic and see daylight through it. I am confident Garvey will do a proper job for a decent price, with me on a limited income. I have read the negative reviews but had no such adverse experience myself. The roof is old enough for any high-pressure salesman to make a case for a whole new one, which would require a complete strip and rebuild, but instead, Tom Garvey assured me none such is required at this time. I should add that one of my jobs had nothing to do with a roof, but instead was replacement and painting of a flight of outdoor wooden stairs, which Garvey did better than the last guys who worked on those, and worked it around needed use by my family. Consider Garvey for such projects.

Tom looks professional and knowledgeable. However they never schedule service with me as promised after I signed and mailed back the contract. Left VM but never get called back. My point is, if you don't have the bandwidth, don't give people contract. Or perhaps my contract is too small a dollar amount.

Since the reviews were terrific, I contacted Garvey Roofing for an estimate in August 2022. Since that time, I've been in a long game of phone tag just to get the estimate emailed to me for consideration. Even after speaking with Aurora and other staff members numerous times, including as recently as the last two days of December 2022, Garvey Roofing has been unable to provide an estimate.

Tom is the best. It is rare to meet owners that actually come out and do the work. When I say do the work, he climbed the ladders and checked out the roof. He is all about creating real value and giving real honest answers. I had him out a few times to check for leaks. In the end the leak did not come from the roof and he end up fixing a few broken tiles just because he was already up on a second story roof. He gave great advice and suggestions. If you need roofing work, you have to call Tom.

TERRIBLE! BEWARE! WEBSITE IS A FARSE!!
Just had the worst experience with Thomas Garvey. After performing a tie-in repair a week ago, my roof continued to leak with this recent rain and the original leak that was supposedly repaired expanded to create more damage. It took several calls to get him to show up and assess the work performed. Once here, he was very belligerent and refused to accept responsibility for his workmanship, but rather returned our check, probably because he saw the unacceptable work that was performed. We now have more damage and this is after he talked about how great our roof looked prior to them performing the tie-in fix when he came to provide the quote. STAY AWAY. I will be reporting him to the CA Contractors License Board. He was not professional and his actions were very concerning. He should not be in business! No stars for this business.
