Mike has been involved in the construction sector at the age of 13 when he began his career in New York as an apprentice electrician. As a teenager, he continued in working every chance he got, on weekends and summers with his relative. He was passionate about construction and creating things and cherished the outdoors. He continued to gain experience and develop skills, and at the age of 17, he enrolled a vocational school for two years in Buffalo, New York to master structural framing, masonry, plumbing, and cabinet building.

At 18, he took a position with a roofing company called BesRoi. Around the age of 20, he was recruited by another company, Crist Contracting, which had more construction responsibilities. After a three-year stint, Mike transitioned to a more advanced role to obtain more construction experience with StockMore, where he was in charge of a vinyl siding and gutter crew.
