Mike entered the field in the building industry at the age of 13 when he entered working in New York as an apprentice electrician. As a teenager, he continued in gaining experience every chance he could, throughout weekends and vacations with his uncle. He enjoyed the craft and constructing things and cherished the outdoors. He kept gain experience and learn, and at the age of 17, he attended a trade school for two years in Buffalo, New York to master framing, masonry, plumbing, and cabinet making.

At 18, he started with a roofing contractor called BesRoi. Around the age of 20, he was recruited by another company, Crist Contracting, which provided more building tasks. After three years, Mike advanced to a more advanced role to acquire more expertise in construction with StockMore, where he was responsible for a siding and gutter installation team.
