Company Overview
Founded in 1978, Future Energy Savers stands as the leading provider of energy efficiency solutions, focusing on Residential Solar Electric Systems for homeowners in California. Our company boasts an A+ rating from the BBB, is endorsed by the League of CA Homeowners, was honored with the 2014 Elk Grove Business of the Year award, and serves as the exclusive dealer for Generac Solar & Battery Systems. Having completed over 6,500 solar system and roof installations, we help homeowners become self-sufficient in energy production. Future Energy operates from Elk Grove and Rancho Cucamonga, ensuring that California homeowners can overcome their energy challenges.
In a landscape where many companies have disappeared over the last thirty years, Future Energy Savers has steadfastly served the energy efficiency requirements of California consumers since 1978. This success stems from a strong company culture centered on integrity, prioritizing the homeowner, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Originally, the family-owned business focused on insulating homes to lower energy costs and conserve resources. Driven by our motto, ""The Difference is Quality,"" we swiftly branched out into innovative energy efficiency solutions that offer cost-saving products. Today, we offer a range of products and services, including Solar Electric, Heating & Air Conditioning, Exterior Coatings, and Window Replacement.
“To thrive in business, one must engage deeply with the local community and treat them like family,” states Future Energy Savers CEO Jeffrey Adkins. “I share this vision with our team. We must consistently deliver high-quality work, exceptional customer service, and always prioritize the customer's best interests. This commitment is ingrained in our company culture and has led to a thriving referral business.”
In 1986, Adkins wed his wife Jona, and together they have two children. Their daughter Jenna is married and dedicating her time as a missionary in Brazil, while their son Jake is enrolled at Grand Canyon University in Arizona.
“Family is my top priority,” states Jeffrey. “We established our company on the principle that every family deserves the finest products and services to support their households and live cost-effectively.”

This all started from a knock on the door from a door-to-door professional letting us know all about what Future had to offer and what the ""future"" might look for us with PG&E.
Usually this sort of presentation doesn't get much attention from me, but my wife convinced me to at least give them a try. It didn't take much convincing though as we are fairly progressive when it comes to the environment and the well being of the rest of humanity over time. So a later appointment was set up and Briana Burnette came to our house on the hottest day of the year with a mask on (a clear sign she and her company care about their clients).
Briana was very clear in helping us understand the ins and outs of ""going solar"" but didn't push us to make a decision that moment, i.e. ""If you act now..."". We mulled it over, worked the numbers and sought other quotes, but Future's offering was clearly the more substantive solution as they perform all of the work in-house, which includes the installation and fine tuning, not to mention pursuing additional rebates for us over and above the federal incentives. Well, we were impressed enough with Future Energy Savers to take a chance with them.
Boy were we surprised when the time came for installation. The Future crew came in and did everything, which included a battery backup system, all in ONE DAY! The work is phenomenal and attractive and we couldn't be happier with all of the folks we worked with beginning with the person at the door, to Briana, to the installers, and then all of the questions we had after the installation was completed.
We couldn't be happier and are looking forward to our future energy bills.
Thank You,
Neil and Eva

I live in El Dorado Hills and although I have a No Soliciting sign right next to my doorbell, one of Future Energy Savers salespeople rang my bell to try and sell me on their solar. I politely told her that we are not interested at this time but she could leave a card on the ledge if she liked. The salesperson continued to try and talk to me about solar and I stated AGAIN that we are not interested at this time and she could leave a card outside if she liked. I DO NOT appreciate that this representative of Future Energy Savers came to my door, ignored the no soliciting sign AND was on my doorstep without a mask on. I will never buy anything from this company if this is how they treat potential customers.

The salesman for Future Energy Savers named James is very enthusiastic. However, he has no professional demeanor. Sadly, he crosses the line into being disrespectful. No means no. When I do decide to purchase solar, it won't be with Future Energy Savers.

Don't give them your number they will call and never stop. They also call from unknown numbers.

We had been debating about going solar for some time and were unsure of whether to go lease or buy option. After a presentation by Mitch Guidry, we were sold on the buy option through Future Energy Savers. The install went flawlessly and quickly so as to not interrupt any services!! We highly recommend Future Energy Savers for your solar needs.

We just moved into our home and once we got settled in our first priority was having solar installed. After doing research we decided to give Future an opportunity for our business. Our Energy Consultant was Briana B, and from start to finish she was exceptional. Great customer service, knowledgeable, prepared and was not trying to be pushy with a sale. Zero pressure! We did decide to get LG panels and a few days later we had our inspection for location of panels and within a week we were scheduled for install. I'm proud to say I'm a solar owner and I highly recommend Future! Thank you Team!

Another large re-up statement this year!! How frustrating to know that I was undersold and offered a smaller unit to beat the competitors price. We've contacted the salesman and manger, turned in SMUD statements and no explanation as to why my re-up is so high other than I was sold a smaller unit than what was needed. We tried to buy local to support this business and it didn't end well for us. After multiple times of contacting the company and being told the owner would contact us-we are still waiting...

First of all I don't think people should be posting reviews of this company's services when they didn't actually utilize them, but are just angry about their door-knocking salespeople. This company does not advertise, but instead relies on word-of-mouth and door-to-door knocking. We found them the latter way and have been pleased from start to finish despite a few issues arising during the installation phase.
Why we recommend this company: (1) They are easy to get ahold of and communicate well (for the most part; we did have one hiccup I will describe later). (2) The installation timeline and savings they described at the sales call was pretty close to accurate. (3) They offer a production guarantee for 25 years (and since they've been in business for 40 years, having installed the first solar panels on the White House during the Carter Administration, we have reason to believe they will be around to honor it! (4) They installed top-of-the-line LG panels and a SolarEdge inverter built to last. (5) Financing through their bank was easy, competitively-priced and not tied to a lien on the property. (6) The installers did an excellent job, which alleviated my husband's concerns that the roof will leak. Additionally they will remove, store and re-install the panels when we need to replace the roof in 10-15 years for a small fee!
The hiccup: The total hourly/daily production expected from our 5 kW system was not explained well. My husband and I both thought it would produce at least 4 kW/h at peak time of day (around 2:30 pm) and the system was not doing that right away. We spent some time discussing this with Kirk and he explained it wouldn't be that high due to energy lost due to DC to AC conversion. After some back and forth on this issue, Kirk acquiesced that our solar system was still not producing the expected amount and sent a technician out to replace the inverter. He was happy with the new inverter's production level at peak time of day and moved on to have the system installation approved by The City. It didn't pass the first time so they had to come back out to make an adjustment, but it was approved on the second go-around. The PG&E approval process was quick after that. Even with the hiccups around installation and permitting, we were up and running supplying power to the grid (and getting credit for it with PG&E) within 8 weeks of contract signing.
One last thing I'd like to share that I wish I had been prepared for: They expected a response to join the Neighborhood Solar Ambassador Program the same night we met with Dale. I like to have time to research big decisions so this felt a little high pressure. That said, my husband and I are happy with our decision to move forward.
Full disclosure: We did not shop around for the best price. For that reason I can not say whether we got a good deal. However, that wasn't our primary concern. We wanted a professional company that would do the best job for a reasonable price and be someone we would be easily able to get ahold of in the future should problems arise. I believe this company fits that bill and recommend them wholeheartedly!

A close friend recommended this company after she and her husband utilized for their solar installation . I met with Dale who was informative without being pushy. I decided to go ahead with the installation . Dale was available for my questions . Margie helped me with finances . The team that came to inspect my roof and then to do installation was professional and answered all my questions .
With use of the SolarEdge app to watch my energy production , I have been very pleased with all steps of this process . SMUD came out for inspection soon after. I'm thankful I went with a local company who does not subcontract out their work. I strongly recommend .

So fed up with the door to door sales people. We have 2 signs at our door. FIRST IS A NO SOLICITING SIGN. Other is a SHH BABY SLEEPING DO NOT RING OR KNOCK! These are pretty big signs, 9in each that hang right near the doorbell. I have the sales girl on my security camera STOPPING TO READ THE SIGN & then banging on my door! Are you kidding me?! I know you can read but she clearly didn't care. Sad you have people like this working for you. I will never recommend this company or do business with them.
