Future Energy Savers
Company Overview
Founded in 1978, Future Energy Savers stands as the leading provider of energy efficiency solutions, focusing on Residential Solar Electric Systems for homeowners in California. We hold an A+ rating with the BBB, are acknowledged by the League of CA Homeowners, received the 2014 Elk Grove Business of the Year award, and are the sole dealer of Generac Solar & Battery Systems. Future Energy has successfully installed over 6,500 solar systems and roofs, empowering homeowners to generate their own electricity. Our offices in Elk Grove and Rancho Cucamonga allow Future Energy to tackle energy issues for homeowners throughout California.
As many businesses have faded away over the past three decades, Future Energy Savers has remained dedicated to fulfilling the energy efficiency needs of California homeowners since 1978. This success stems from a strong company culture centered on integrity, prioritizing the homeowner, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Initially, our family-owned business concentrated on home insulation to decrease energy bills and preserve natural resources. Driven by our motto, ""The Difference is Quality,"" we swiftly branched out into innovative energy efficiency solutions that offer cost-saving products. Today, we provide various products and services such as Solar Electric, Heating & Air Conditioning, Exterior Coatings, and Window Replacement.
“Success in business requires strong community involvement and treating everyone like family,” says Jeffrey Adkins, CEO of Future Energy Savers. “I share this vision with our team. We must consistently deliver high-quality work, exceptional customer service, and always prioritize the customer's best interests. This commitment is ingrained in our company culture and has led to a thriving referral business.”
Adkins and his wife Jona tied the knot in 1986 and have two children. Their daughter Jenna is married and currently volunteering as a missionary in Brazil, while their son Jake attends Grand Canyon University in Arizona.
“To me, family is everything,” Jeffrey expresses. “We founded our company on the conviction that every family should have access to the best products and services, enabling them to thrive and live efficiently.”

I only yelp when it matters and this one is a big one. I would love the owner to contact me about this.
On Oct 2022, I called Future Energy Savers because the Enphase App that the previous owner of the home who PAID OFF the solar before the home was sold to me told me to download and transfer the ownership of the system over to my name. Which I did and I saw on the app that the installer of the solar was a company called Future Energy Savers. Since the solar was paid off I thought maybe I contact them and and ask them if I could get a QUOTE on how much adding solar would be to my roof.
The gentlemen (Either Pat or Paul) on the phone said they would have to come out and check out my roof for panel space, check the system to see if it meets re-certification after then they can transfer the warranty of the system to me. I asked him if there was a charge for them to come out to do all this and how much all that would cost. He just said that they would have to check the system first to see if it's up and running, make sure meets re-certification and the warranty could be transferred. NO where in our conversation was mentioned that there would be a $495 charge for them to come out and do this. If I knew the amount money they were going to charge just to do all that, I would of said either said no or even had time to process that I had to pay something after the service QUOTE was done.
On 11/11/2022 two reps came out and did a walk thru and checked the system. After they came down and told me how much the service that they just did was going to cost $495. I was like umm no one said anything to me about a charge. They said that this has happened multiple times, they get sent out to do a job and they would always get the brunt of customers rage after telling them its time to pay. I didn't blame them, I called Paul right away. He said he did mention the money but I think it might not even been him that scheduled me. It might have been Pat but still, the disclosure of a cost of almost $500 isn't going to go over anyones head. Yet alone mine.
I had Paul work out a payment plan with finance for this. I also did ask Paul for a transfer of warranty, change of ownership documentation and re-certification which this company said he doesn't have. He would said he could ""take a picture"" of the service order I signed, that's it. Then what did I just pay for if I don't have documentation of any of it? No hard or soft copy of proof that the transferred warranty, change of ownership, re-certification is under my name? I asked Paul if they had copies of the installation and warranties in their database from the previous owners of my home. He said they didn't keep records for more than 5yrs. The solar panels i have on my home were installed in 2014. That's all the information they had
I saw many complaints on the BBB website about this company, an exact situation of mine aside from the not disclosing the fee to do so. I also read they charge for doing a repair even if your system is under warranty at a cost of almost $400 when a mirco-inverter goes out . How's that possible? I want my Transfer of Warranty, Change of Ownership and Recertification Documents. How will I have proof of any of it if I don't have a copy for myself? Did I just pay $500 bucks for a blind trust on things will get taken care of from here on out for the next 17yrs? Apparently my panels and microinverters have about that much time left on warranty. Yet i have no documentation for any of it.
You can't expect us to get those warranties from the previous owners. For the amount of $$$ we paying you guys, wouldn't you think that would be done for us?

Rob and Guermo are great. Helped me navigate and interact with solar company Enphase to keep our system up and running.

The electric company informed me that the panels stopped sending energy to the grid. They told me to contact the company. I have left messages and emailed, but am not getting any call backs

My husband and I decided to go solar since we will be retiring in a few years and wanted to keep our monthly cost down. The staff at Future Energy were very nice and accommodating. They answered all of our questions. We are looking forward to the savings.

I live in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca and ever since w began our journey with Future energy savers our salesman did not deliver what we had ask for in the fact he undersized our system and now for over a month we have been trying to get a warranty replacement of just one panel and they don't return our phone calls and want to charge $200.00 dollars to replace the warranty panel. Right now I would not recommend them or their crew. There are many others solar companies out there and I would recommend a Veteran owned company.

This company offers GARBAGE customer service. They broke tiles on our roof during installation and wont take care of their mistakes. We have been waiting 4 months for an appointment and they call to reschedule the day of on every appointment date. Excuse after excuse. . . Avoid this company!!

Presentation was a bit long but covered everything we needed to know. Ambassador was very knowledgeable/helpful in answering our questions and giving us information on the program. Installation took longer than expected because of delays with COVID but once the techs were here, day of installing was very smooth and professional. Techs explained everything we needed to know about the panels and how to download the app needed to view all the solar stats. Email communication with company has been easy and pretty fast response. Overall very happy with our choice to go solar and the bill definitely reflects! Would recommend.

I have never received such a rude disrespectful call in my life! My husband and I were solicited by this company last year we made the appointment for an estimate for Solar that was going to be little or no cost to us. NOT THE CASE! The estimate was thousands of dollars which we declined, the man was for sure irritated that we were declining. It has been a year and I just revived a call from a no caller ID number I never answer those but I did and now wish I hadn't there very rude rep asked me if I remember having the estimate last year I replied yes she then proceeded to tell me about there new prices and such, I told her I was not interested! She replied WELL WHY? not that I owed her a response but I told her my husband was let go from his job 4 weeks ago and we were struggling, she then proceeded to call me honey and rudely proceeded to pressure me, I told her did you even here what I said your being rude and not listening to me! her tone changed to even more disrespectful! then she hung up on me. I immediately went online and get the Co. phone number called right back and no answer so I called right back from my home line immediate pick up SURPRISE! I asked to speak with a MGR. the girl that picked up said she was a Mgr. (doubt it) I explained what happened she took my name and said she would speak with the representative. EVEN IF I HAD THE MONEY I WOULD NOT USE THIS RUDE HIGH PRESSURE COMPANY, people are struggling to make there house payments and are living week to week and then have to deal with this kind of treatment. Not ok there are many solar companies please don't use this one.

This all started from a knock on the door from a door-to-door professional letting us know all about what Future had to offer and what the ""future"" might look for us with PG&E.
Usually this sort of presentation doesn't get much attention from me, but my wife convinced me to at least give them a try. It didn't take much convincing though as we are fairly progressive when it comes to the environment and the well being of the rest of humanity over time. So a later appointment was set up and Briana Burnette came to our house on the hottest day of the year with a mask on (a clear sign she and her company care about their clients).
Briana was very clear in helping us understand the ins and outs of ""going solar"" but didn't push us to make a decision that moment, i.e. ""If you act now..."". We mulled it over, worked the numbers and sought other quotes, but Future's offering was clearly the more substantive solution as they perform all of the work in-house, which includes the installation and fine tuning, not to mention pursuing additional rebates for us over and above the federal incentives. Well, we were impressed enough with Future Energy Savers to take a chance with them.
Boy were we surprised when the time came for installation. The Future crew came in and did everything, which included a battery backup system, all in ONE DAY! The work is phenomenal and attractive and we couldn't be happier with all of the folks we worked with beginning with the person at the door, to Briana, to the installers, and then all of the questions we had after the installation was completed.
We couldn't be happier and are looking forward to our future energy bills.
Thank You,
Neil and Eva

I live in El Dorado Hills and although I have a No Soliciting sign right next to my doorbell, one of Future Energy Savers salespeople rang my bell to try and sell me on their solar. I politely told her that we are not interested at this time but she could leave a card on the ledge if she liked. The salesperson continued to try and talk to me about solar and I stated AGAIN that we are not interested at this time and she could leave a card outside if she liked. I DO NOT appreciate that this representative of Future Energy Savers came to my door, ignored the no soliciting sign AND was on my doorstep without a mask on. I will never buy anything from this company if this is how they treat potential customers.
