on day 3 of buying a house, i tested a wall and found my hand went through the drywall to the outside wall. i tried to contact many roofers through yelp, and my neighbor recommended Freutel's. of all of the people i contacted for a quote, Freutel's was the only one that showed up with graph paper, and drew the elevations of my roof. of all the quotes, Freutel's was the only one that fixed the design of the roof, and not just replaced shingles. yes, they are busy and it took a while for them to be able to come out and do the estimate. of all the estimates, this was the cheapest, but i would have picked them anyway since they came out with graph paper. and once i signed the contract, they showed up the next day, fixed the problems, and removed the ugly dish satellites too.

Freutel Roofing put a roof on one side of our house years ago. They were professional and reasonably priced. Since that time, we've had a few situations where we need to call on them for help with issues on the other part of the house or caused by other construction on the house.

Our most recent call was yesterday. After a major storm, we found a shingle in our yard that looked like it came from our roof. I called yesterday and got a quick callback. With as many calls as I expect Freutel may be getting after the recent storm, I was pleased to hear that they could come assess the damage today. They assessed the damage this morning, and were able to squeeze us in to fix it this afternoon. The work was minor, but important. We are now confident that our roof will keep our the water when it rains again next week.

I highly recommend Freutel Roofing. They are responsive, helpful, they do quality work, and they're reasonably priced.

I wanted to use a local company to support my community. I called and made an appointment for them to come out and give me an estimate. On the date and time of the appointment, no one showed up. I waited an hour. I also called 2 times and left messages and my phone number.

I waited 10 days for a callback from the company, but I never received a call.

I understand that there can be mix ups, but they should have at least called back to try to make amends.

It's too bad, I really wanted to support local businesses.

Called to schedule an estimate appointment, was told they were booked up 4 months until Sept/Oct 2019. Not in a rush, scheduled Jim to arrive at 1pm, he shows up at 10am, luckily my wife was home to let him know what we wanted. Why show up at 10am knowing appt was at 1pm with no call warning? Also did not ask what we wanted (type of roofing, color choice, nothing!). Jim said would mail estimate. 2 weeks received a mailed estimate with my name spelled wrong. Would recommend getting several other estimates; this company has many booked jobs and are most likely trying to catch-up on the back log of jobs during spring/summer.

The roof was great. They fixed a ton of dry rot for us, too. But the thing that stood out to me was that they continued to offer great customer service after the work was done. When I found a tiny bit of dry rot that they missed, they came right out to fix it. And when I had a concern about a roof area later, they came right out to investigate (turned out the problem wasn't due to the roof).

This roofing company was referred to me so I gave them a call to try and set up an appointment for roof repairing. I called twice in two days and no one returned my call. I left my name, phone numbers and email address as requested but got no response. Nice way to run a business!

This review is long, long overdue.
We had Freutel put a 30-year guarantee composite shingle roof on our home about 15 years ago. They did a great job then and the roof has held up well.

But the Pacifica coast winter storms with their wind and rain are tough on anything and we did experience two leaks over the last few years.

On both occasions, even though they were busy with many such calls, a crew from Freutel was out in good time to track down the leaks and fix the problem.

On both occasions, we did not receive a bill for the work they did.

All I can say is that Freutel Roofing did a great job for us on the new roof and they have backed it up with service whenever it was needed.

Just had my gutters replaced from a house I bought that was done by this company. The roof still looks great after over 15 years so I just replaced the gutters. If you want a quality roof by a local contractor, Mike and Daniele is the company you want to deal with.

Mike and the crew at Freutel did a great job on my recently completed roof and the installation of new gutters and downspouts. Job went as planned and on schedule. Years ago we woke up to a bad leak from our skylights the morning we were leaving for a destination wedding. I left a message for Freutel from the airport and when we landed there was a call back from Mike. Mike and the crew went up on my roof that day in a storm and made a quick fix to prevent my home from being damaged until we could address the issue. Great local business with very strong ties to the community. Could not recommend more highly!

Hi it took 3 weeks for someone to come out to give an estimate.
I understood that as the storms this last winter kept people busy.
But after the representative came out to see the job. I was told I would get an estimate in a week. Did not receive and estimate. Three weeks later I call and leave a polite message.

No call back but I was sent a single line e-mail saying the do not want to do the job and gave a name referral. The referral never answered my phone call so..... i was left starting from base one.

Very poor customer service. I was very disappointed as I wanted to have the work done by a local in Pacifica.
