Michael and his crew are my ""go to"" roofing guys. I wont call anyone else. I have used him twice. Once for my personal roof at home and another time for commercial roofing at the shop that I manage. At my house, I thought I was due for a roof after several storms that had recently hit. Some of my neighbors had replaced their roofs and I only assumed mine was due to be replaced as well. Michael came out right away and assessed my roof and could easily have said, yes that a roof was needed, since I was going through my insurance anyway, but instead he informed me that it was still in good shape for the time being, but in a few years, it might be time. That kind of honesty and Integrity are a big deal to me. I will definitely be using his services when it is time actually replace the roof. I called him again when we needed a small roof job done for a heater we were installing at the shop. He was able to send one of his guys out immediately to look at what we needed and then was able to work around the schedule of the guy we had hanging the heater. The whole time, he and his guys were very good at communicating and got the job done quickly and done well. In both cases the professionalism and timeliness, along with honesty and integrity of he and his crew were second to none and is why I will only use and recommend MKCS Roofing from here on out. HI, MK Roofing just finished reroofing the 25 year old roof section under our deck. They recommended a commercial grade silicon sealant since it was a flat roof (slight grade) and would be covered by the deck. The silicon coating worked beautifully and we are very pleased with it since there was no debrie or waste that had to be discarded (i.e. they covered the old roof with the coating and it was substantially cheaper than standard reroofing.
They did the job quickly and actually charged less than their original estimate. My husband and I highly recommend them.

Michael Kalish is a small business owner that was recommended to me for a roof repair inspection and estimate. I found him extremely responsive, patient, informative and reliable. His work was thorough and well documented with photos. Pricing was reasonable but more importantly he stands behind his work. Having had a number of less than optimum experiences with previous roofers, I am happy to have found MKCS and highly recommend this business.

Michael came out when I had a water issue in my bathroom that a plumber had checked and suggested could be a small roof leak. He and Kendall, one of his employees, spent an hour and a half spraying water at every vent, weep hole, window casing, and crack in the mortar or flashing they cold find. They crawled into my attic, lay on my bathroom floor, and generally looked for leaks in any place that water could possibly be getting into my bathroom. That they didn't find a leak is not because they didn't look!

Both Michael and Kendall were so kind and personable. They took the time to walk me through every step of what they did, as well as explain exactly what they had looked for and did (or didn't) find.

I cannot possibly recommend them more highly. If you have any roof problem, call Michael and you will absolutely not be disappointed.

And by 'good' I mean a contractor who's honest, communicates clearly and in a friendly way, offers good advice based on experience rather than always trying to up-sell the job, works quickly, works cleanly, and, importantly, doesn't over-commit (then under-deliver).

Michael, the owner, has been great everytime I've spoken with him, and all of his assistants have been equally available and easy to talk to. They were able to repair some raccoon damage to my roof, add improvements to aid in water flow, and repair a leaking gutter issue that had literally been plaguing my house for years (and which I had two other ""gutter specialists"" look at).

I can't recommend these guys highly enough.

Great experience. After Hurricane Harvey, some of our neighbors reported loose shingles/a few shingles missing. I took a look at our roof, but I really couldn't tell if the shingles were loose or not.

MK Construction Specialists didn't find anything wrong when they inspected and did not charge. Will definitely think of them in the future for our needs. Thank you!

We were selling our house and the buyer's inspector noticed what he thought was hail damage. Lucky came out the day after I called, took a quick look, and let me know that the damage was clearly the fault of our previous roofer and not the weather. I'm sure he could have charged me $1,000 for the repair, and I'd have been none the wiser. But instead he suggested that I ask the home builder to make the repair (which they agreed to). Class act. MK has definitely earned my trust and future business.

Michael was great - very professional and explained things clearly. He took time to visit and provide an estimate, and he also spent about an hour with an inspector from our insurance company. While we didn't move forward with the project this time (due to insurance reasons), I won't hesitate to call Michael when we're ready to work on the roof.
